a minor question of the setting: Magic Seals and Auras seem to be mentioned on few occasions in the wiki, but they aren't elaborated on. (At least I didn't find any page for them.) Did I get this right: Seals are personalized magic emblems each magic user can have, while auras are standard Shonen battle auras?

I'm really not sure. I think Magic Seals are barriers and the like that mages can make. The Aura's sound right however. Even if that's not what they are in the series I don't see why that explanation can't be used.


As for game start...we could start now and let those interested later to join up. If everyone wants to start now that is. If not I'll start it off Monday.

Background: Born to a mage tribe that lives far away from any civilization, Varium grew up strange. The tribe worshipped wolves, and so he grew up wearing the usual wolf hood, which in normal society, my be considered a little girly, but it was a point of pride for him. As he grew up, he tired of the tribe, and set out looking for adventure. He could not, however, fully leave his tribe behind. He took his wolf hood as a sign of respect and as a remembrance of his tribe. He took a quick learning to gun magic and became a well respected mercenary. Rumor has it he is looking to finally settle down in a guild.

Magic: Varium uses a form of gun magic known as Dual Wield. He uses two pistols with his magic. He can combine any two of his spells at once. His spells include:
Ice Shot: Shoots a magical ice attack. Freezing a small area around the spot it hits.
Flame Shot: Shoots a magical fire attack. Burns a small area around the spot it hits.
Multi-Shot: Fires a lot at once.
Quick Shot: Fires rapidly.
Precise Shot: Though Varium is very accurate already, this spell allows him to shoot a target from a half mile away if there are no obstructions.

Other Powers: He can talk to wolves. It's a gift his tribe has.

I wasn't referring to those kind of seal, I was referring to the fancy Instant Rune thingamajobs that sometimes appear on thin air when mages use their powers.

Um. With my character's magic, do people want me to type it out, or can I just link to the Fairy Tail wiki, given that Elizabeth's magic is largely like Natsu's?

Type it out yes, considering a lot of Natu's magic came about from all the fights he's had. Like the Lightning Fire Roar and things like that. There's just a good deal your character shouldn't have without it being in your back story. I just don't find it all that creative to copy/past a character from canon.

Personality: A lot of people's first reactions to Elizabeth (or 'Lizzie') is 'this drunk is one of Fairy Tail's most powerful mages?'
To be fair: she does drink a lot, almost always has a bottle of something alcoholic around, and she does, at first glance, act like a typical drunk- seemingly aggressive and with low inhibitions. However, what most people don't realise is that Elizabeth is very aware of her limits, and keeps herself below them most of the time. The drunkenness? It's an act, and while she is quite... blunt... that's just pure Elizabeth. She often uses the act to keep people off guard, especially when she doesn't trust them.
To those people she does trust, Elizabeth is fiercely loyal, and will help friends and especially fellow guild members to the best of her ability.

Magic: As the Fire Dragon slayer, Elizabeth has a number of abilities. Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, she's nearly immune to fire magic, and can in fact 'eat' fire, giving her a significant boost. One of her favorite tricks in a fight, in fact, is to set fire to one of her bottles of beer, and then drink it.

At the same time, someone who really wants a certain mission up but perhaps doesn't want to participate in it themselves could play an NPC for a short time and create a mission.

So I gave Cecilia another magic form, officially raising her to B-Rank. She doesn't use this magic, though, because she is embarrassed by it and tries to keep it a secret from the guild, though most of them probably already know about it.

She can use this magic to harden her clothes to protect herself, or to use ribbon or such to restrain her enemies.
