Alright, that's cool. It'll probably be nice to meet the other kids. Personally though i like Melinda, so I'm hoping she ends up in one of your future games(maybe she gets whisked away for a fire emblem game too?), though i understand that the final decision is yours. And the other readers as well, i don't know whether they would be interested in seeing her in a new game. I suppose we'll have to see.

As for a cooperative game...That's a bit difficult because I don't know what games you have available/can take screenshots of, and there aren't too many games that can allow this kind of storytelling well. I can look into it, but one of the few games that comes to mind right away is XCom: Enemy Unknown, and i'm not sure how well that would work. The game lets you name your soldiers so Illven could be the tactician and Melinda could be a soldier(Heck, their whole family could be soldiers, with some of the pokemon too, since you start with 15-20 rookies. Or maybe only Illven's kids get taken and Melinda is the tactician, who knows), the problem there being what you do if Melinda dies. And soldiers die in XCom semi-frequently depending on how careful you are, so it is an issue. The gameplay is superficially similar to Fire Emblem(Soldiers can act once in a turn, if they get kills they level up, everything moves on a hex grid. Beyond those basics they're pretty different though. Especially the fact that most combats are long range), so you could do the same type of attacking screenshots as before. Some problems though would be that there's a lot less interpersonal dialogue between the soldiers, so you would have to add that between screenshots. There's plenty of dialog between the tactician and the scientist, engineer, and officer, and a strong story, but you naming the soldiers limits what they can say. The screenshots would be much bigger because the game isn't meant for a gameboy, i don't know if that would be a problem. If you wanted the same amount of info for the story, you would also have to turn on subtitles and take pictures of them like you do for fire emblem, but that shouldn't be too hard. Finally, you would have to buy the game. I think it's definitely worth it, but that's up to you. I know you can take screenshots in it because i once ran a forum game with people posting actions and writing stories for the soldiers with me playing the tactician.

Anyway, another possibility is to have them in a normally single leader game like fire emblem, but have Illven be the tactician and have Melinda(or one of his other kids, i suppose) help make plans and talk to the soldiers on a regular basis. Or have One of them lead in one section, and the other lead somewhere else? Like in radiant dawn when there's the dawn brigade on one side and Ike's mercenaries on the other(And when they split into groups later). the whole family could have been split up when they were sent to the world, and they could each end up in charge of a group, and meet up with each other over the course of the game. I really like that idea, but i don't know if you can get a game that would work that you can also easily get screenshots of(Radiant Dawn would probably be perfect, but it's a wii game).

Only other idea I have right now is to play one of the earlier final fantasy games. I've only played FF1 and not all the way through, but i know that in FF1 at least you can name the members of your party, so you could have any combination of Illven and his family be the main characters(And some random person who actually belongs in the world, if you want to mess with their head). Alright, that's cool. It'll probably be nice to meet the other kids. Personally though i like Melinda, so I'm hoping she ends up in one of your future games(maybe she gets whisked away for a fire emblem game too?), though i understand that the final decision is yours. And the other readers as well, i don't know whether they would be interested in seeing her in a new game. I suppose we'll have to see.

As for a cooperative game...That's a bit difficult because I don't know what games you have available/can take screenshots of, and there aren't too many games that can allow this kind of storytelling well. I can look into it, but one of the few games that comes to mind right away is XCom: Enemy Unknown, and i'm not sure how well that would work. The game lets you name your soldiers so Illven could be the tactician and Melinda could be a soldier(Heck, their whole family could be soldiers, with some of the pokemon too, since you start with 15-20 rookies. Or maybe only Illven's kids get taken and Melinda is the tactician, who knows), the problem there being what you do if Melinda dies. And soldiers die in XCom semi-frequently depending on how careful you are, so it is an issue. The gameplay is superficially similar to Fire Emblem(Soldiers can act once in a turn, if they get kills they level up, everything moves on a hex grid. Beyond those basics they're pretty different though. Especially the fact that most combats are long range), so you could do the same type of attacking screenshots as before. Some problems though would be that there's a lot less interpersonal dialogue between the soldiers, so you would have to add that between screenshots. There's plenty of dialog between the tactician and the scientist, engineer, and officer, and a strong story, but you naming the soldiers limits what they can say. The screenshots would be much bigger because the game isn't meant for a gameboy, i don't know if that would be a problem. If you wanted the same amount of info for the story, you would also have to turn on subtitles and take pictures of them like you do for fire emblem, but that shouldn't be too hard. Finally, you would have to buy the game. I think it's definitely worth it, but that's up to you. I know you can take screenshots in it because i once ran a forum game with people posting actions and writing stories for the soldiers with me playing the tactician.

Anyway, another possibility is to have them in a normally single leader game like fire emblem, but have Illven be the tactician and have Melinda(or one of his other kids, i suppose) help make plans and talk to the soldiers on a regular basis. Or have One of them lead in one section, and the other lead somewhere else? Like in radiant dawn when there's the dawn brigade on one side and Ike's mercenaries on the other(And when they split into groups later). the whole family could have been split up when they were sent to the world, and they could each end up in charge of a group, and meet up with each other over the course of the game. I really like that idea, but i don't know if you can get a game that would work that you can also easily get screenshots of(Radiant Dawn would probably be perfect, but it's a wii game).

Only other idea I have right now is to play one of the earlier final fantasy games. I've only played FF1 and not all the way through, but i know that in FF1 at least you can name the members of your party, so you could have any combination of Illven and his family be the main characters(And some random person who actually belongs in the world, if you want to mess with their head). For a pc, you can press the printscreen button to take a picture of the whole screen, or alt-printscreen to take a picture of a window. For PC it saves it to the clipboard and then you have to paste it somewhere, but it still works.

So, that leaves the question open to who should our new sixth member be, we have the pokemon on the first page, Rave, Ivan, Breeze, Dr.watch, Lord Pen, Eggy, Crow, Larx, SgtCrawler, Alpha, and Arachne.

I would recommend Kelk, both for story purposes at this point, and he's my only other pokemon with Psychic. Granted I have the tm, but if I don't have to use it....
