DC is there, of course, and clearly has been the whole time, although he hasn't spoken up yet.

Indeed, I wanted to discuss the base.
Messages KR, pulling the roll of paper she had before back out of a pocket, where she presumably put it so she could receive Harnel's blood samples.

Wonder what she's going to do with those now anyway. Probably dispose of them in a safe and responsible manner. No nefarious deeds here. Nope. >.>

That could mean any number of things. Go on. His mental 'voice' doesn't sound annoyed like his words might suggest, instead more curious.

Well, in this case I mean the phy- She stops.
"Sorry, mental talking is giving me a headache right now. Anyway, in this case I mean the physical construction of the base itself, more specifically, expanding it."

She unfurls the rolled up piece of paper, revealing a floorplan of the ground floor.

"We're rapidly running out of space. As of right now, 30 of our 32 rooms are occupied right now (depending on how good my player is at counting), and I know we definitely need more labs. Luckily, the main walls are built far out enough that we can build some secondary buildings within it, or we can build into the cliff itself, as I did with the hanger. Also, I'm sure there's other things too we could add to the base besides new rooms and labs that I haven't thought of. Maybe the other members will have ideas for new additions to the base." Says KR.
"Also also, as long as we're building new buildings, and having the construction people here (because there's no way we're doing this thing ourselves) it might be useful to take a look at the main base itself and see if there's anything that needs re-hauling. I know at least that it's kind of counter-intuitive to have the infirmary on the second floor, so you need to haul wounded people all the way up a flight of stairs to get them treatment. And nobody ever uses the office, so we could see about refitting that space for something more important." She continues.
"Also also also, we should ask Butler if we need to hire or create more help. He does okay with the base now, but if the base gets bigger, we might need more cleaners." She continues even further.
"And that's all I had to say, I think."

((There seems to have been a mix-up... the newly-discovered meeting room is being used to plan the assault on Hermitage.))
Well then, we should be quick with it. We've spent enough time planning... we don't want to waste too much time talking. Let's wrap up the issue of communications so we can be on our way. DC, Cessie and I should go with you for a while, so we can reach the Hermitage quickly when we have to.

"I need to talk to my brother, he's an skilled enchanter and knows some eldritch mind tricks as well so he will likely be able to create such an enchantment. Just give me the item you'd like to enchant and he can make a copy out of it. Remember it have to be a metal that can be melted down." Cessie says, showing her open palm.

"Alright, the plan is set. Here," Justin says as he tosses a pair of rings to Cessie, "Do it to both, if it won't slow us down any. Always best to have a back up."

[Darcy's Phone]

It's ringing! Ring ring!

Darcy picks up at once. "Ilphy! Is everything ok?"

Darcy's Phone

"Yeah, yeah, everything's fine."

Quite the response.

"But the big battle's about to go down and I need some people I can trust in the stands to make sure it goes down without unnecessary input from the peanut gallery. You interested in watching?"

"What big battle? Where? Are you sure you're okay?" Darcy asks.

Does Ilpholin's voice sound different since her various alterations?

"As you wish, I'll be back with copies of these once I can get in touch with my brother." Cessie replies as she slowly starts getting up from her seat. "Unless there was something else, I should leave as soon as possible."

[Reinholdt]

Darcy's Phone

"Why do you keep asking that?"

I imagine there would have to be some. Maybe hard to pick up on the phone, possibly sounding like a cold.

"It will be [Outside location here] soon against Gordon. I... have to warn you, I look a little different. I was hoping to meet with you before this, but it's just happening too fast and such that this is the best I can do."

"Because I care about you!" Darcy says. "I'll be there."

Darcy's Phone

"... Right. Thanks. Anyways, I'm still the only one with purple hair. Could start any minute, so better hurry. I gotta go. Wish me luck." Ilpholin lingers on the phone briefly for a response before hanging up.

"Luck." Darcy whispers, and ends the call. She has to get ready.

Leaving the base

Darcy heads out of the base, shaped as herself, and heads for the city. Somewhere out of site of satellites, she'll change to her new disguise.

Mister Squiggles returns. He brings a number of adjustable size slave shock collars. They just snap into place. Each one has a number on it. He also brings a remote, that has a line of numbers and two buttons next to each. First one shocks, second one unlocks. The shocks hurt, but I wouldn't qualify them as anywhere near lethal. He'd make all sorts of other features, but figured there was a time thing or something. He'll pass them out to whoever needs them.

Brand finds the collar that is made to fit him and snaps it on quickly, before he can think about what he's doing, and how much it hurts to be collared again.

"I see...I can hire some people to do the construction work fairly easily." DC considers their options for a moment before going on. "I could put up a notice about it in the main room asking for suggestions."

Justin takes the remote from Mister Squiggles. That spider must be really well trained. He also notices the collars. "High tech little gadgets. Honestly fake locks would have worked just fine." He snaps a collar closed and looks around the rim for any way to pick it open or trick the lock system without the remote, particularly around the hinge and the locking mechanism. He has quite a few tools for working with small electronics, and experience with locks and gadgets, so anything could be of use. "Do they have a fail safe? Any way to take them off without the remote in case of an emergency? Like losing the remote and/or getting stuck in one myself?" He does realize he's asking a spider, but he figures Brand could translate well enough.

Speaking of Brand, "You don't have to put it on yet. We still need your pal, Waterstrider and it might be uncomfortable to wear the entire time."

Mister Squiggles chitters. Trained? Trained?! Does he look like a pet? He was self-taught!

It's a snap on system. Once it snaps on, you need to press the button to release it. Once snapped into place, there's no visible access to the parts one would need to mess with to 'pick the lock' as it becomes solid on the inside rim and outside rim. Even if you're in the collar, you can press the button to release yourself, so getting put in one yourself not an issue.

Mister Squiggles highly recommends not losing the remote.

Cessie will a few days later give Justin and the others two rings that will be able to charm people into helping them.

They have unlimited charges, but if they manage to charm the person, how long it lasts and how charmed they are is completely up to the target.

They need to be used at a close range though.

Someone's knocking at the door! Wonder who that could be?

Butler opens the door.
"Good evening sir. Welcome to Watchtower sir. How may we help you today sir?"

Replace sir with ma'am as necessary.

*replaces all sirs with ma'ams* On the other side of the door is a bunny girl! She has fair skin and shoulder length black hair. Sticking out of the top of her head are a pair if rabbit's ears. She's wearing a rather slinky, silken dress. The only thing about her appearance that might seem out of place is her red eyes.

"Hey, my name's Alice Smith. I'm looking for a Mrs Cessie Mithar. Do you know if she's around right now?" She asks, favouring Butler with a bright smile.

[Front Door]

"Well not at this moment exactly ma'am, but I'd be more than happy to show you around and help you look for her ma'am." Butler smiles and favors Alice with a wink, before motioning for her to come in.

[Front Door]

Alice manages to not react to the wink at all. Not even a wince. "Sure, that would be great." She follows Butler in and glances around. "I've heard a lot about this place. I've never seen it from close up though."

[Front Door]

Butler was totally hitting on her! But that's about as far as he goes without indication of interest so he'll just show her around where he can.

"It's a really nice place ma'am. Lots of great people ma'am."

By the end of the tour it becomes apparent Cessie isn't actually in the Watchtower right now.

Alice shows a suitable amount of interest during the tour, though she does seem a tad impatient. Oh well. After the tour she's still smiling slightly, so there's that. "I guess she's not around. Do you know where I might find her, or if there'd be a better time to come back?"

[Reinholdt]

[Post Tour]

"Well ma'am... she said that if she wasn't here, she would be at her home ma'am. You might want to try there ma'am." Butler says, giving directions.

[Gullara]

[Post Tour]

"Oh, thank you so much. I'll check there then." Alice says. "Thank you for the tour too." And with that, she will head off toward Mithar Keep unless Butler wanted to say more.

Butler sees her off and then returns to inside to go cook up something absolutely delicious.
