I think Zefir is running the fog. And I'm always willing to run a random dungeon crawl if you want, AnimeKid. In Inside I suppose it would be rumours of a haunted house or creepy castle or something as opposed to a traditional dungeon, or maybe something in the sewers or a random crypt/labyrinth/ossuary/underground train station.

Where's Neos now, and may I have a description of him & his powerlevel? I can adapt to many things, but a super-powerful godling ripping the roof off to kill the vampire in the haunted manor's no fun for anybody. Least of all the vampire.

Oh, sorry, sorry that was inconsiderate of me Earl. I'll make sure to stop doing that. As for Neos...

He has just left Mallside and is flying towards/above Inside. He has a power rating of B+. He is Neutral-Good, is a martial artist, and also a dragon lore enthusiast. He is half-human half-dragon(Green).

He is a very kind and compassionate individual. However his compassion usually is directed in passion. That passion being fighting. Neos usually forgets things in a fight when his blood starts boiling and his 'fighting spirit' gets going. That being that he often forgets that not everyone is as tough as he is. So he sometimes goes for killing blows that would be lethal on other people though not for half-dragons. He is steadily working to overcome that little quirk. He is quick to help anyone who is in need and is often told that one day someone will take advantage of his bleeding heart. He usually dismisses these claims light-heartedly.

His abilities are

Breath weapon: As a half-dragon Neos is able to use his breath as a weapon. As a green dragon he is able to breath high velocity winds from his mouth. Depending on how he breaths he can make the winds concussive or slicing. However he has the tendency to leave himself short of breath when using it.

Enhanced Strength, Stamina, Senses, and Durability: The basic stats of his race. Neos is strong enough to lift up to about 10 tons with power and is able to run for approximately 2 hours without becomeing winded. He once was able to pick himself up after a 4 story drop.

Dragon's roar: A loud roar that usually slams into someone with supersonic soundwaves. Neos however has not perfected this art and so can only blow high speed winds that with blow your cloths back and make your cheeks billow a little. Mostly used for intimidation.

Bo Staff Adept: Neos is able to use his bo staff to a respectable degree. Though he is far from being a master.

Marital artist: Neos is knowledgable in various forms of martial arts (though I am not). He often is willing to teach to anyone who is willing to learn from him. That is to say not very many people.

OK. There's likely to be little actual fighting, though; I usually prefer puzzles, traps and esoteric magical artifacts to enemies.

Number 2 and 3 don't really exist, I'm afraid.
Things sort of...just exist wherever is convenient and continuity is frequently smacked with a hammer in favor of making things work.
(I have been informed Riverside has a map. Should be in the OP of that thread.)

As for plots, they're just events someone has thought up and decided to DM for some other folks. Some are huge and world-affecting, some are small and just two or three people exploring somewhere.
Joining one just involves finding someone who's looking for players (usually mentioned in this thread), or by having a character stumble on a public event.
Asking for interaction or an open plot in this thread can usually get you some responses.

Organizations are joined by having your character go to said organization and asking to join. Nice and easy.

One thing in particular that made my entrance to the Nexus easier is the OPs (Opening Posts) of the threads. They often tell you a bit about the situation, and what to expect there. The OP of the OOC thread is especially helpful, as it contains a veritable wealth of Role playing tips. The FAQs are amazing resources, made by some of the best role players.

Age: Craetus spent countless eons in a deep slumber so he is very old minded but does not appear old. He also does not age quickly
Alignment: Somewhere in-between LE and LN
Class/Profession: Elidritch horro
Power Rating: Demigod
Description: Purple mind flayer basically. He has his normal tentacles as usual(but a few more than normal) and a mass of smaller tentacles and a singular eye on the back of his head. He wear long pruprle and blue robes that make him look scholary. His arms more resemble tentacles than arms and have no visible joint. His hand are not hands, thhey are sharp claws.
Equipment: His clothes, a glowing prismatic orbs which he uses to manisfest his more powerful abilities and a topaz ring he wheres.
Abilities: He is more or less a psion. He is a good telekinticist(think kinda like a jedi), he can manipulate energy(such as creating fire out of nothing but his mind) well, and create small items out of psychic energy. He can perform more powerful feats with time and acses to his orb. His physical abilities include his tentacles on his head, his sharp claws and the ability to sspontaneously grow wings
Backstory: Slept since the beginning of the Nexus. more coming later

As a suggestion, you might want to tone back the power level for a first character. It helps if you have to work around the character's limitations, so that they aren't always trying to win at everything. In FFRP, you don't really play to win, it's all about the teamwork.

Anyway, would having limited to either telekinitecs. energy, or creation every in game day(rolling to determine) help? Backstory being that the sleep caused his powers to be suspened and now they surface randomly. After awhile he could start to regain his powers(gaining powers would come from events that happen, not me just arbitralily deciding 'he gets more power now').

You can fill out a form, and it's often useful to do eventually. But just dumping them somewhere, as long as it's a public place, is fine.

As for the second question, you can do that, but it's certainly not required.

Dice Rolling actually does not work in this forum, I am led to believe it works elsewhere on the forum, but those are sections of the site I do not regularly visit, so I don't know about those.

HOWEVER!

In reality, it is not necessary for you to roll at all! Given that this kind of RP is completely Freeform, you can decide the outcome of your character's attacks or attempts at doing anything, generally speaking. When your actions involve someone else's characters, you usually decide by discussing between both players involved.

In theory, you can add the randomness factor by rolling dice to decide your actions, but... you'd pretty much be the only one who does. I can't say for sure, but I don't think anyone else does it, so I'd recommend against it.

It's also not recommended to FULLY stat out your characters, as other people will likely be using characters and attacks that do not rely on numbers at all and aren't based on the same rules as yours.

Hey Murkus, glad to see you're both back and doing something. Couple things went on while you were gone with the time plot.

First of all, a few players asked for me to move it to its own thread, so it would stop cluttering up the srs plot thread and people could find posts easier. To that end, I dredged up all the old posts I made and stuck them together here.

And then no one posted. So this is also my official poke for all the rest of you. Can't have any lewt unless you get off yer arses. *poke poke poke*

To be specific, C'nor, Harnel and Zefir. If you're confused as to what you were last doing, by my recollection Lellienth was talking to Mr C. in drowspeak when she deadtimed, then Mr C got flipped onto his back. Tarn threw a bouncy ball into the room. I'll drag up the posts if anyone wants them.

The other thing is, since the outermost hole has been shown to move to the left every time someone takes a step, and Legion is moving left... essentially she'll be chasing it around in the circle, never catching it. If you wanted to change it so she moves right, that's fine with me, since I'm fairly certain she wouldn't do something like that with the information she had.

But that's up to you. I'll hold off on posting until you decide.
