Feeling his strength sap away, Marcus out one last battle cry anticipating his demise. Now maybe his father would approve of his son if he died in battle, sword in hand he stabs wildly hoping to strike before losing consciousness.

As much as David is verbally dismissive of his guardian angel, when he sees the repeated stabbings of the foul lustspawn finally pierce Morrighan's armor and penetrate deep into her stomach, he shouts a cry of alarm and rushes over to her.

Breaking a bit of his own skin, David starts chanting some arcane words. The chant complete, he puts his pricked palm against Morrighan's punctured stomach, and the guardian angel's wounds start closing. (DC 16 Spellcraft to discern the spell being cast)

"Th...thank you, master." mumbles Morrighan as she summons forth more strength to defeat those small yet deadly opponents set on killing everything in sight. A quick step later to position the monster between herself and Ixios, she attempts to take disarm the lustspawn...literally.

Lekti looks at the student for a second, silent that she was too late. But with a scream from Marcus, her mind returns to the battle at hand. "Curse it Marcus. You didn't let a book harm you so don't let them beat you up." Lekti jumps around the desk to get to Marcus and gives him some healing magic.

Ziref cautiously approaches forward. He dare not participate in the combat, but he did not want to stay too far from Lekti or the others either. Ducking behind a desk, he looks over it to see how the rest are fighting, amongst which is his fiendish dog.

Ziref sighs as he sees the performance of the dog. The dog was so furious and raging that it was so terribly uncontrolled that it had yet to manage to hit at all. It was viscious alright, but if it could just turn that fury around properly. At least it kept the creature in front of it from attacking others.

Marcus' rapier strikes true, piercing the lustspawn squarely in the chest. It screams in pain before slumping over falling to the floor, quite dead.

Letki moves close and uses her hex to heal Marcus after he takes down the monster closest to the pair. His wounds begin to close up, and the bleeding stops.

David likewise moves to heal Morrighan, While Morrighan squishes yet another of the tiny creatures with her massive flail. gore and mess fly in all directions as the lustspawn liquefies under the flail head's downward strike.

Ixios swings his club once again in an attempt to damage the final standing monster:

Ziref's infernal mongrel continues to have a terrible time finding a soft spot to bite down on, even with the assistance of another dog flanking the abomination.

Tricksy is concentrating on maintaining her spell. She looks like the pain and mental strain may be too much, and looks to be about to pass out.

The final monster continues attacking Ziref's summoned canine, oblivious to the fact that his demise is only seconds away.

Marcus feels someone touch him and then he feels a warmth spread over him that renewal his strength. As the feeling ended he hears Lekti's voice speak to him and then it dawned on him.... he was just touched by a GIRL not his mother but a real girl. Marcus loses focus and begins to get red in the face as he thinks about it. Does she like him? No it couldn't be, but she healed him, saved hislife so she must care. Marcus began to make plana to show his undying love and devotion; maybe he'd write a sonnet... no he could barely read his own writing. Maybe he'd conjure up a unicorn women liked unicorns right? Marcus suddenly realized that he had left himself wide option for an attack! Not wanting to waste the gift he had been given he quickly locked down his defenses anticipating his opponent knowing he has lost his chance to strike.

Good. Marcus is alright. Who else needs it...David. Now for him. Lekti moves away from Marcus running around the desk and the giant morrighan to get next to David. Touching him, she gives him a quick heal as well. She smiles as David recovers from his injuries.

Ziref had no intention to get deeper involved in the fight, so he stuck where he was, while his dog continued to growl and bite away in ravenous fury. He looked to see how the others were doing, but even though Marcus seemed to be distracted by Lekti - not a very weird thing, that - they seemed to be doing well, helped by Lekti's healing.

"Morrighan, let's see if we can't take this last one alive. Doesn't the class next door next something to dissect tomorrow? This is for the sake of learning!" Wow, David is sure non-chalant about possibly torturing this lustspawn to death. But then, these deranged creatures did just kill one of his classmates.

"I umm...I'll grab it..." replies the guardian angel even though she is quite uncomfortable with the notion of torture. She is already thinking about how to talk David out of this.

"Terrific, let's get into position"

Marcus held in full defense, making sure not to get hit again right after being healed.

Letki ran over and placed her hands on David, mending his wounds through her hex magic.

David waits to move with Morrighan, setting up their plan to grab the last moving lustspawn.

Ixios swung at the Lustspawn with his club, hoping that maybe this swing would take down his foe.

Ziref's dog continued to fair poorly, despite the help from Tricksy's second infernal mongrel growling and snapping at the monster, diverting its attention between the two.

Suddenly, the second dog disappeared. It appeared Tricksy had indeed passed out from the strain of concentration and pain.

Morrighan moved up, and David does as well once Morrighan got into melee range. He distracted the lustspawn further than it already was, giving time to grab the spawn.

The spawn at the last second notices the large hands of Morrighan coming from behind it, and turns while stabbing with its dagger-like bone protruding from its wrist.

The monster stabbed directly into the left hand of Morrighan. However, despite the pain and the little monster moving about, Morrighan was able to grab a hold of the lustspawn, and thus pulled the little monster from where he was standing into a tight hold right beside her.

The lustspawn, oblivious to the situation it has gotten in, continues to stab at the large mass of flesh currently surrounding it.

Marcus watched as Morrighan picked up the tiny lust spawn, wincing at seeing the beast harm such a beautiful creature, knowing that he could not attack without possibly harming the angel, Marcus instead begins chanting. Concentrating on the fiend within the grasp of Morrighan, Marcus begins to attempt to cloud its mind with an enchantment.

Morrighan just nods and does her best to pin the spawn to the floor.

Seeing Morrighan wrestle with the spawn, Lekti calms down. She then gives a small look around "Anyone else need a little healing? I will be right over if anyone else needs some." Lekti's hands glow as she heals herself.

"I'm fine. No damage taken, no damage done. I guess it's fair." Ixios mutters with a hint of dissapointment as he observes the creature. "Sinspawn. Old shock troops for Mage armies. Barely concious aberrations. Judging from their physical *ejem* attributes, i'm guessing these are the Lustspawn variant, suppposedly related to the Runelord of Lust. Can't recall his name right now..."

Two small flames flicker briefly on his forehead. "Say, do we really need it alive? I Rrreally want to bash the head off this one..." He says with what seems to be a slight growl, balancing his club like a pendulum near the monster's head.

(If not impeded, Ixios will execute a Coup de Grace action on the Lustspawn)

Someone with the Grappled condition isn't helpless. It doesn't even lose dex bonus to AC, unlike in 3.5.

I assume he meant after the pin was established. However, that too doesn't quite work, unfortunately. You can not coup de grace a pinned creature, only helpless creatures.

Now, If you'd like to wait for David to tie the monster up, being bound is one qualifier for helpless. Once bound, you could then coup de grace it. Also, if someone were to knock it unconscious, that would be another way. You yourself could attempt to knock it unconscious this round, and then coup de grace next round.

"Uhm.. ah.." Ziref was making some noises, filled with some measure of doubt and confusion. "What.. are you guys doing?" He said as he ushered towards the fiendish dog. The sinspawn left was the only living target and the fiendish dog was aware of that too. Letting its demonic glare fall onto it, it was already turning and preparing itself to jump for the last remaining enemy around. And Ziref had no way to stop it, unless.. "Do.. do you guys want me to dismiss him?"

[Frosty]

David grabs some rope and attempts to tie up the lustspawn. "Lekti, be an angel will ya and heal Morrighan? She's taken a lot of abuse bashing heads in."

To Ixios, "And yes, I think taking it alive is a good thing. Maybe someone who's very knowledgeable about this sort of thing can trace its magical energies and find out where it is summoned from or who summoned it, if it is indeed a summon? Or maybe some careless twerp set it loose by accident and we need find out who."

Morrighan keeps holding the lustspawn down until the spawn is tied up.

Marcus looks at David and manages to say "Let muh muh me tie him up. I Wuh was teh taught how to tie knots... Who has some ruh rope?"

Lekti stands by looking at the whole thing for a mooment. She then shakes her head but watches the whole thing.

(For the sake of expediency and to not drag out the combat another couple of days, I am going to wrap this combat up. After the -10 for tying up a conscious creature, Morrighan failed on the check, unless a good number of people succeed on aid another... But seeing as all this will do is give the spawn a chance to get out of the grapple, in which it'll fail, there's not much point in dragging this out as far as I'm concerned. If you wish to be considered part of the group helping hold down the monster, feel free to say you were. Others are also inclined to write what they did instead.)

Thrashing about, the lustspawn wriggled and bit at anyone that started to get too close. Obviously, the monster was single-minded in its task of hurting anything it could reach, despite being helplessly bound.

Looking outside the broken wall, you could see similar chaos spreading across the entire campus. Swarms of small lustspawn rampaged through the Acadamae. The bodies of both the creatures and students littered the grounds. Thankfully, the lustspawn you could spot were much more concerned about things going on near them, and so far none of them had taken notice to you as of yet. Suddenly, Dean Falgeringer's voice boomed through the classroom.

"The professors and the guard are working to contain the problem. Anyone still alive is advised to make your way to Ornelos Hall for protection."

[Frosty]

With the lustspawn tied up, Morrighan could finally breathe a sigh of relief and goes to pick up her heavy flail.

David announces to the room, "Everyone, gather the wounded! Put them in the middle of the group and we'll escort them over to Ornelos Hall. Lekti, you seem to be gifted in healing, and I thank you for healing me. Could you also do the same for the rest of thw wounded students and my summon please?"

[Madmal]

Ixios shrugs, as he lends a hand at keeping the thing at bay "Suit yourself, but I'm pretty sure these things must have at least an entry on the simplest Bestiary, I mean, the Runelords time was quite noticeab-Ow! That bugger bit me! Almost ripped my finger off!"

Marcus moves over to Lekti and does his best not to look at her while he speaks "Stu stu stay close to me, I wuh will protect you. He then looks up at her and says with stern determination "I swear on my life."

In the mean time, Ziref had dismissed his summon. With everybody so busy with the last sinspawn, the dog had served his purpose. Ziref himself was looking at everybody and fidgetting with his fingers. He was not quite sure that what they were doing was the wisest idea. There seemed to be enough sinspawn and they only meant trouble.

Not assisting them in their efforts to keep the sinspawn, as he was too cowardly and cautious to do so, nor saw the point of it, Ziref looked around to see how he could help with the wounded. Feeling as though he could not put in much help, he at least looked around to see if there were people who really needed help. Because had Lekti not already healed the other wounded students besides them? Well, except one who now lay on the ground. "Uhm.." He let out as he walked to the fainted Tricksy. "Could you.. ah.. heal her too, Lekti?" He asked.

[Kon Lesh]

"No problem David I do what I can." Lekti turns to look for other injured people to only turn into Marcus. She stop before she accidentally runs into him. She is shocked as Marcus professes his...love...no that can't be it... gratitude...yes...that's it. She stands for a second trying to think of what to say. Yet a second is all that is needed for Ziref's call for help to get through to her. She snaps back into reality. "She's out again? Ummm...thank you Marcus. I need to check Tricksy again." She puts her hand lightly on Marcus's shoulder and runs around him. She knees next to Tricksy. "Come on, I just healed you. Did you over exert yourself?" Lekti then does a quick prognostic of her.
