Hehehehe, I can get used to this. He says, enjoying the feeling of being in a cold region again. Just because he could, he flies up to the ceiling to stand on.

He goes back into the commander's tent to check on the dwarfcicles (let's face it i'm gonna get through that ice eventually) and check for life signs

He very gently touches one of the other three he hasn't touched before, fully expecting ice to spread, so he is very much prepared to withdraw

He tries touching the dorf that froze his first arm.

The commander. With which arm?

[Emperor Ing]

The frozen one. I think Malathot needs at least one free arm.

You manage to pull your arm away quickly, but the ice still manages to extend up to your shoulder. The arm is in effect dead weight till you manage to remove the ice across it.

Malathot attempts to use his sheer strength to possibly break his own arm out of the ice

The ice starts to grow again but then stops. It doesn't seem to be breaking.

Malathot is starting to panic a bit, not really having any ideas how to free his thoroughly encased arm, other than zapping it with magic, which would have its own, painful difficulties.

Just on a hunch, he tries bashing the ice on one of the dwarfs whose ice he knows doesn't spread on contact.

Heat surges through your arm (take 8 and 13 points of fire damage). Some of the ice does melt, leaving your shoulder to right above your 'elbow' free. Sufficient fire would melt it, but might melt you as well.

Large parts of the ice melts, but the dwarf is still more covered than not. He now has large burns across his back (how many 2nd level spells per day do you have left?)

(also are you shooting the commander or another dwarf?)

((Yes the commander, and I have one 2nd level slot left. Also zapping myself may not have been the wisest move as I have 19 hp left))
Also, let's zap him again. What's the worst that can happen?

The ice melts from the dwarf but when it does it releases an explosive blast of magical energy. The wave of heat rushes towards you (make a Reflex save).
