Kate's Apartment

"One moment!"

Sophie will scuttle over and open the door. "Hello, Cos. I guess she didn't tell you. She went to a pixie sleepover. Why have you been looking for her? Couldn't you be able to tell where she was with your god knowledge?"

Sophie does not appear to be concerned about this.

[Halae]

[Kate's Apartment]

Cos shakes his head, "I couldn't find her, godly knowledge or not. I really wish people would tell me this sort of thing, you know?" Cos, unless Sophie indicates that she doesn't want him to, will come into the apartment at this point, "Do you know when she'll be back? Sleeping over with pixies isn't something i would have expected from her."

Kate's Apartment

"I think that file scared her. The one on the succubus? Yeah, and she's been a little... uncomfortable. I don't know. She was just a little off, I think, and needed, or needs, to restabilize her head." And I think that's a shrug. Yeah, Sophie just shrugged. "I don't think she'll get in too much trouble... she definitely won't just sit down and let fairies mess with her."

Ding! Kate comes back, and Cos should feel the link automatically re-instate.

"I don't know when she'll be back, but it should be soon. I wouldn't start worrying for another hour or two."

[Halae]

[Kate's Apartment]

cos blinks a moment, "Oh, there she is. She's back in the Nexus now, apparently. I think she'll probably be on her way here, so mind if I wait for a minute?"

Kate's Apartment

"Sure, go ahead. I don't see why not."

Sophie will let Cos in and shut the door. In a minute or two, the phone will ring.

"Hello? Hi Kate. Good to know, you coming right back? Good, Cosiellio is here waiting for you. You forgot to tell him that you were leaving. See you in a bit."

Sophie will hang up. "Yep, she's coming. should only be a couple minutes."

[Halae]

[Kate's Apartment]

"Bluh," Cos says, sitting down on the couch, "I'm not used to worrying like that. normally I know how to find out about anything I want to know. Here, I was just drawing a blank. Kinda freaks a guy out."

Kate's Apartment

"Couldn't you figure out where she was last? If you looked at the last place you know she was, and look through history to see what happened there at the last time you had contact, and you could see her right before she disconnected."

...that's an idea.

[Halae]

[Kate's Apartment]

Cos shakes his head, "I tried that. normally it works, but this time it didn't. Like her history was shrouded, or something. I'm not sure how to describe it."

He shrugs. He's not sure what to make of it.

Kate's Apartment

"Huh. That's odd. I wonder why."

The door opens, and Kate walks in. She looks like she did when she left, except she's sporting a pair of brand new fuzzy orange antenna!

"Okay! I'm back and in one piece! Hi Cos!"

She's even in a good mood.

[Kate's Apartment]

"Hey Kate" Cos says, looking at the antennas, "Enjoy your time among the fey, I take it? You seem to have gotten a few things out of it," He points towards the antenna and the makeup.

"Well then, I'll talk to them the first chance I get."

Gotta wait for Ermine to undeadtime first though!

And so she does! Ermine grins at Reinholdt. She's fully dressed now, and hopefully the treasure hunter is as well.

"Okay, what do ye want to do now? We could go get a drink or someting."

Kate's Apartment

"Yeah, let me wash up really quick."
Kate will go into the bathroom and wash her face for a minute.

"Oh, that sneaky..."

Kate will walk back out. Most of it is washed off, but the lipstick remains. Also, an orange phoenix mark on her cheek is revealed. Cos might detect a bit of fairy power in her. Not the phoenix mark, that's just another affect on her. She seems to have some fairy power worked into her intrinsically, like a sorcerer has magic.

"I don't suppose either of you know how to get make-up off?"

"Sorry, Kate."

cos looks oddly at Kate for a moment, "Kate, are you aware that you've got some fey power inside you?" He isn't sure if she wants that gone, though. Power is power, after all.

Kate's Apartment

Kate looks at Cos. "Umm, well I guess that makes sense since I'm apparently part pixie now."

Sophie looks at Kate, unbelieving. "What?"

And she will proceed to tell the whole story. And there is moderate confusion.

"So I now have big fuzzy antenna and pixie dust. The little mark here was probalby left on me by Mintbalm, so it should be easy enough to take off with a bit of dust. Oh, I could just dust the make-up off."

Kate puffs a bit of pixie dust (the same color as her hair into her face, and what is left of it disappears... and Kate suddenly grows a beak and feathers on all three of her arms.

"...I did not expect that."

[Reinholdt]

And so she does! Ermine grins at Reinholdt. She's fully dressed now, and hopefully the treasure hunter is as well.

"Okay, what do ye want to do now? We could go get a drink or someting."

Because Ermine truly wants Rein dressed.

"Ah. Well... actually I need to go back to GLoG for now. Sophie was getting something for me so I should see if she's back by now."

[VampireRot]

"Oh."

Ermine sounds a little bit disappointed. This whole redemption thing is getting in the way of their drinking!

"Okay den, I'll go chart a course fer GLoG."

She quickly shrugs the feeling away and staggers off to go steer the ship back to GLoG. Away!

Zith labored for days on his work. He had formulated a shield system, which was a series of shields that would be extended from concealed positions to deflect incoming objects. He found that if he incorporated specific runic patterns into the heat resistant material in the shields, he could create a wall of force while it is in a vacuum.

He had made over fifty enchanted scimitars, while they weren't masterpieces, they were useful. And all keyed to a specific runic sequence. Not that anyone could figure it out, or even knew it existed, it was a master enchantment smithing technique. He made himself an enchanted revolver, and made him self an extendable wrist blade for self defense. After a close call with a disgruntled worker, who was soon replaced, he forged a set of armor that was both lightweight and sturdy. He submits the plans for the shields.

"Science!" Kara answers with a straight face, before laughing and kissing Talnissa's cheek. "My heart, my head, my body, my soul, are yours, my love."

[Talnissas's]

"And mine are yours, s'saeta," she says, smiling happily, and going to pull Kara into her lap. "To second death, and past; they still will be when we walk the afterlife together."

The Hutt is quite pleased with Tirin's choices. Since it wasn't mentioned before, the Hutt will mention that the DXR-6 also bypasses conventional shielding; while not kinetic in nature, the energy output is so high that it can break through shielding (though once this happens the beam acts more like a regular laser than a disruptor).

Jurga considers the offer. Eventually he would run out of technologies from his home universe, so getting replacement wares early is probably a good idea... "What type of weapons do you sell?"

"Mostly energy weapons. A few mage-tech items. The most impressive is probably a variant of an Outcast particle weapon; the original is mounted on spacecraft, while this version is handheld. They have similar capabilities, though, save for range and blast size, and the original Wyrm was designed to knock out the shields and tear through the hulls of the best fighters and gunships. Even cruisers, if needed - I've seen single fighters carrying several of them force a full military patrol off. If you can get close enough - a bit more than normal pistol range - it should punch a hole in just about anything."

((Hopefully-brief deadtime now, though.))

"Forever and ever, amen," Kara agrees, snuggling close and rapidly relaxing as the adrenaline, finally, completely wears off.

The robot smiles happily, nodding.

"Exactly."

Kate looks at Cos. "Umm, well I guess that makes sense since I'm apparently part pixie now."

Cos gives Kate a look that would be flat if not for the fact that he's suppressing laughter, "You know, you really should have expected something like that with the bird mark."

"Eh, it's not too much trouble. Removing effects isn't too hard."

Interestingly, due to a little oddity in her subconscious, Kate finds removing effects easier than most pixies. Little flick of dust in her face, and the bird mark disappears... and a peacock tail appears.

"OH! That's a new one."

Sophie watches this with some curiosity. "Kate? Are you feeling okay? you're acting a little weird."

"Weird? Huh, I guess I am. I might still be ditzed on fairy magic."

Cos might notice that Kate is shorter than usual. Four inches shorter, in fact, bringing her to an even 5 feet tall.

[Kate's Apartment]

cos blinks a moment, looking at her changed height, "Uh, Kate? I think you're turning into a pixie. If you're part one now, then using the powers you get from that must be having the effect of enhancing that part."

Well, it makes sense to Cos, "Do you want me to do anything about it? As long as you understand how it works, you should have it well in hand, but The option is there."

Kate's Apartment

"I-"

Kate stops herself. She takes a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.

"Okay. Yeah, that makes sense. Let me think. Actually, let me get rid of these feathers first."

POOF! Kate loses the beak, feathers, tail, and several more inches. This puts her at about 4'7".

"Okay, I felt the affect of that one. It's like a little bit of joy and a carefree feeling... I'll have to note that. I might change completely if too much fairy energy is used on me. Let's wait a while and see if it reverts before we do anything rash."

[Kate's Apartment]

Cosiellio nods, and then looks closely at Kate. He's monitoring her body on a detailed level, specifically what sort of being she is at the moment, and the influence fey magic and time has on her. From an outside perspective, it seems like he's zoning out, so Kate may need to grab his attention away from her body again.

Kate's Apartment

Kate's anatomy is still very human, but there is a bit of pervading fairy power. After a minute or two, it begins to fade slightly. It picks up a bit, but comes out to a fairly steady rate. It'll be about a quarter of an hour before she's back to her old self, physically. It's hard to tell how much of the energy is ambient and how much is the pixie part right now, you'll have to wait until it stabilizes to tell.

Kate will turn on her Laptop and do internet things for about ten minutes. She will then look at Cos and ask, "Hey, what are you thinking about?"

Still zoned out, cos will mutter, "...your body..."

After a moment, he blinks, realizing what he just said, "I mean, watching the changes in your body. biologically, you're a pure human, but there's a lot of fey power flying around in there."

Kate's Apartment

Kate nods. "Okay. Let me know if anything interesting comes up." Kate goes back to computing. At around the fourteen minute mark, Kate is back to full height. At the twenty minute mark, the energy stops depleting and stabilizes. Not a lot of energy, but enough to make pixie dust.

[Kate's Apartment]

"Aaaaaand you're back to normal, mostly. there's still a little bit of fey power there, but it's stopped decreasing. It's probably enough to... do pixie stuff, but just a little." Cos says. Then he tries to look over her shoulder to see what she's doing on the internet.
