After a moment to get over her initial confusion, she looks at the nearest mage, and says "Can it talk?"

He cheerily travels up to where Jeanine was when he last saw her!

He's been trying to find someone to help him find his mother, who left him at HALO at age 6, whatever HALO is, and I don't have any spells that can help him. Faniky magic deals with madness and insanity, so I was hoping you might hav something that could help him."
He looked at her with his maddening eyes.

In walks a very old and bearded, Merlinian-looking wizard in blue silk robes. He is followed in by a boy in similar robes who appears rather uncomfortable in them. The old wizard removes his pointy hat and gives a gentlemanly bow before placing it back on his head. "How do you do, miss?" the old man says, pleasantly enough, "My apprentice and I have heard rumor this building functions as something of a Mage's guild. Are we very far off in this assumption?"

I suppose it functions as little more than a brainless slave to use as a decoy, or human shield.

Jeanine grimmaces.
Guild is such a crude word. It gives the idea of a pub and groups of people meeting for enjoyment. Arcanus is an organization, a plae of business if you will, and we have very specific goals and ideals.

We hired him for the same reason we hire everyone. Creativity and diversity. We expect discoveries and new things. You can't achieve that if you are worried about efficiency. He just happened to be using his creativity behind our backs.

I was the first person he asked. No one can just magically find a person without any information on them.

Talnissa sets to work going through them, though, oddly enough, despite being a robot, and thus being able to read straight through, she'll leave at a fairly reasonable hour.

And then return the next day, to do the same. This process likely continues until she's either exhausted the limits of their knowledge of souled undead, or been able to satisfy herself that she knows things they don't.

Into the building walk three men, each completely and utterly alike. Pale skin, although not unnaturally so, highly athletic builds, blue eyes and black hair shaved down to a military buzzcut. Their clothes are equally identicle, green jackets over white t-shirts, camo-patterned pants and plain black trekking boots, not a uniform but not quite civilian clothing either.

They walk towards the front desk in near perfect synchronicity, the middle one speaking to the witch at the desk. "Ahem. Me and my brothers would like to apply here. We wish to learn magic."

Alabaster limps in covered in blood and missing a limb and eye. Hes about to pass out.

The old man laughs a bit, not losing his amiable manner, even at Jeanine's grimmace. "That definition of guild is something of a corruption. A guild is nothing if not a group of like-talented individuals seeking specific goals through business." He gives a little tip of his hat to the lady, a sort of incredibly polite way of saying "You've just been schooled!" "But Guild Hall, pub, or office, this is a place for magicians to work, learn, and develop with one amother, is it not? If so, both myself and my apprentice would like to join."

I brought some catalyst runes I could use with the elemental ones. Thought catalysts would direct magic better.

Alabaster has been healed days later but he needed a prosthetic leg and eye. His leg is silver and spring-loaded, ot makes a lot of noise. His eye is glass and can see through walls. Alabaster has sadly devoloped paranoia and trigger-frenzy.
