Hey Hipho, regarding your character in Trog's, that colour is still unreadable. Or at least it is to me. I would recommend avoiding most light colours. They're a real pain on the eyes and I know that I for one can't be bothered to highlight every line or suffer through it. Just a bit of advice.

Sounds startling for a first meeting.

More seriously, it should work pretty well. They'd have, if allowed, given him clothes, fed him, and provided a place to stay if he needed it.

With my iPod editing posts is a bit hard so I'll just make a note to do it in orange next time.

C'Nor if you want, Flarg is in Trog's now, so maybe your characters could stop in. Perhaps make a mentioning about your past together which might include elder Flarg helping you with a vampire hunter problem recently. If not I'm thinking of having Flargs next action be poofing away

Sounds good, though bear in mind that they'd have to be some very well equipped vampire hunters to pose a real threat to them, and thus there will a fairly strong element of danger.

Also, would Flarg the Younger have ever gone into the workshop where they keep all of the specimens they make/alter/study? There are several down there that are human-plus level intelligence, and if he did, they'd probably know him too.

There. Mega-post in Trog's is up; Karyana and Rael have arrived for the scene with Flarg.

Also, is the coup in AMEN/Outside open to spectators at this point?

Sure he could know some of the 'experiments' I'm kindve thinking that over his lifetime Flarg runs/ran into your group numerous times and as such by age 27 he already thinks of them as loosely friends. By the time he's Elder Flarg he's probably saved and been saved by them more than once.

Sounds good. Though possibly dangerous. What sorts of mental defenses would the various Flargs have had? Selka (a sort of siren/drow/selkie), at least, would probably have tried to influence him somehow, if only to stick around when he could.

Most Flargs have very little beyond that of a normal mortal. Though The Elder Flargs do have the shadow beings which would help with that I assume.

The Hutt nods his head, and begins to look through the crate for more weapons (a twinge of self-consciousness overtaking him as he moves). He pulls out a two more blades.

The first is another vibroweapon, this time a dagger. It appears unassuming, and quite easy to conceal. Unlike other bibrodaggers, however, this specific LaserHone Talon design is meant for stealth. When activated, it vibrates on an ultrasonic frequency, so the whining sounds usually associated with vibroweapons is nonexistent. This specific type of vibroweapon was often used by an elite military unit of the Stormtrooper Corps, the Storm Commandos.

The second is more like a spiked gauntlet than a blade; the vibroknuckler is a small blade with a space in the hilt to fit one's four fingers into. By using the thumb to flip a switch, the vibrations start and make the wearer's punches nearly lethal. The fact that it slips in between the four fingers allows the user to still carry items in his hand. Jurga leaves out the minor fact that these blades are illegal for civilian use on almost all Imperial worlds, and that these weapons are mainly used by mercenaries and pirates.

Suffice it to say that the Hutt made a serious understatement when he said "More than enough to kill a human."

It's really closer to "Melt a human into sludge." A decafarad is so hilariously overcharged that you would probably be best off either reducing it by two ten or more orders of magnitude, having it set up to administer smaller charges out of a capacitor that large, or just accepting that humanoids will be one-hit killed by the thing and up Tirin's power level a letter grade or two.

And this is why you do not attempt to use units of measure you haven't haven't actually worked with (or even used theoretically in several years).

Alright, I'm just going to lower that, now...

Just for fun, I decided to do some math.

A farad describes the number of Coulombs per volt in a capacitor, and a Coulomb describes the number of Amperes that pass through a medium over the course of a second. Since electrons travel at Fermi Velocity inside a solid, and I don't trust myself to get into quantum physics right this moment, I'll estimate the amount of time here as 1 nanosecond. This is divergent from reality because a decafarad of energy could not actually pass through the surface area of a sword in such a short time, but it will do for the purposes of hilarity and keeping the implication of energy transfer over the course of a blow rather than over minutes/hours.

Thus, we recieve the following formula:

    10 Farads * y volts = 10y Coulombs = z Amperes x 1/1,000,000,000 seconds * resistance

We can simplify this by multiplying the formula by a billion.

    10,000,000,000y = z * resistance

Now, to account for resistance. The resistance in human skin varies from about 1000 ohms for wet skin and about 500 times that for extremely dry skin. Considering that the item in question is designed to cut through skin, and the fact that Human blood is an extremely good conductor, I believe that the amount of resistance in this case will be fairly low. I'll just use the 1000 ohm measure for the sake of having a round number. Anyway, using Ohm's Law, that gets us this:

    1,000,000,000 * y volts = z amperes

Unless I made a serious mistake with my math/understanding of electricity, that means that a Decafarad of energy passing through a weapon instantly into a target results in a million amperes per volt.

This is very, very, VERY lethal, even with extremely low voltage. There is a good reason that you will probably never see a full Farad on a capacitor. Even a nanofarad can give you a pretty nasty shock, and might even theoretically stop your heart if you have wet skin and a frail heart. :Smalleek:
