Han nods. "That would be the optimal approach. However, the question remains - it is better to clear things up in the quiet of the briefing room then in the middle of a gunfight, after all."

"The weather is supposed to be clear. As for the other questions, yes you are clear to engage enemy air targets. We would also like to keep civilian casualties at a minimum."

Ysmir looked up from map right at Lars, now looking a bit annoyed. It had been skipped in the breifing, ignored when asked about, and the whole reason he was here to begin with. "How much we being paid?"

"Six hundred for the job itself, not including bonuses."

[RandomLunatic]

Ysmir looked thoughtful for a moment, then asked, "Is there any intel on Chad-employed mercenary?"

"They're supposedly heavy on MiGs and MiG derivatives."

[RandomLunatic]

"So... Chinese backing?" Ysmir mused.

((I think I am done asking questions and ready to move on to planning.))

"MiGs? Interesting. Either Russians or my old friends. Perhaps I'll force one to land and take it for myself." Han mused with a small smile.

(I'm ready to move on to planning as well.)

[Clarkson]

Lars clears his throat. "I will leave you to your planning. When you are done, bring your plan and list of requisitions to me." He and Dietrich go to leave, but he pauses to add one more thing. "Just so you are aware, if used, CSAR costs 400 per sortie, but it has to be requested ahead of time."

Well if thets everything lets settle how we wana do this. Now as I said before I think it would be best if our ground attack come in at the targets from either the north or the south in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

[Binks]

"Agreed. Best to avoid flying over the city if at all possible. Post a wing pair to the north and south and have our AtG birds fly between them perhaps? Would give them good coverage if anything rises to meet us."

[RandomLunatic]

"Right. We'll come in from north, split into three pair, and hit them all at once like wrath of Allah.

"Bill, you on my wing, Robert, you on Han. Together, strike section. Come in in shallow dive for speed, radar off. Switch on at moment of weapon release.

"Primary target large, and in open, Thunderchief come down," tracing a line on the map with his finger, "And carpet bomb from thirty-five hundred meter to minimize risk of SAM.

"Secondary close to town, so accuracy vital. You two must come in low." Again, Ysmir traced a line on map. Han drop stupid* bomb and then Robert follow with rocket strike.

"Then all four meet up and orbit here at about 6 thousand meter until ground troop show up.

"Draken come in with radar off here at twenty thousand meter and watch for incoming aircraft. If they try and sneak up without radar, we guide you in behind them. If they come with radar on, we turn to join you."

"You fly Draken, yes? Watch western sky for aircraft, warn, intercept."

Alrighty then.

[Binks]

Robert smiles at his role in the plan. "I always love a good rocket bombardment...sounds like you've got things all worked out." he says with a nod.

[jaybird]

Han makes a strange face. "Digging holes is no fun. So, I am laying dumb bombs onto the secondary from...what altitude again? Shrapnel is bad for aircraft, I hear. Let's get some of those fancy little things with parachutes on the back instead. Once they go off, Robert can come in behind me and sort out what is left. Will the strike aircraft carry air to air missiles, or are we going to have to fight off MiG-21s with guns?"

[RandomLunatic]

"Yes, parachute bombs. Like I said- stupid bomb.

"And of course we all bring air-to-air. Not going to let those two," waving a hand at Alex and Fred, "Have all the fun." He grinned.

"Honestly I'm kind of hoping there's no fun to be had. Would be nice to have just a simple, routine mission with no surprises. Robert says with a chuckle.

[Nibleswick]

Well, I'm sure there'll nothin' to worry about. It's just like dusin' crops back home.

[Clarkson]

I'm ready to fly. If possible Fred sticks his head out the door to check on the sandstorms progress.

The storm is clear, Lars approves of your plan, and before you know it you're loaded up and in the air. You approach the engagement zone from the north and initiate your plan. Your radio crackles to life as it receives a transmission, "Burn Notice, Burn Notice, welcome to Sudan. Ground forces Actual, here. Two units waiting for your runs, callsigns Swiffer One and Two. Over."

[Clarkson]

Fred goes up and then swerves to the east. He tries to remain outside radar range of the targets and investigates the shovel shape object to see if it's a runway.

[jaybird]

Han sticks by Robert's tail. "Robert, suggest that we approach under cover of that ridge. I will take the lead, once my payload is clear, follow me in and clean up what is remaining. Acknowledge?"

[Binks]

"Roger that." Robert says, moving to follow Han as he takes lead on the approach to the secondary target.

[RandomLunatic]

"Ground Force Actual, this is Burn Notice Actual, read you lima-charlie. Commencing run now, stand by. Out." Ysmir tipped the Thud's nose down and to the right, arrowing the big bird in towards the primary target.
