Nixa watches him leave with entirely mixed feelings. But through them all there was one clear question: had she just sent Saer to his death at the hands of Draaxar?

Worried now at what Draaxar will do to her if he does kill Saer, she chews on her bottom lip until it begins to bleed. She wipes away the blood absentmindedly, still focused on the problem. Well, first thing to do is tell Draaxar to meet him. After that, there really isn't much she can do except wait....

She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, contacting Draaxar through a muttered spell.

[Mindfreak]

"I'm not the type of person just to say things to make people feel better.
Yes, you smell great."
Naku says, smiling warmly at him.
"He's just a jerk. Ignore him."
(())

"Okie dokie..." Songdancer said, trying to lick Naku's face.
"You make me feel better, so now you get licks of gratitude."

[Zefir]

Jamil: This is my work. I'm a mortician, which means I take people and find out how they were killed.

*He motions to the files*

Jamil: These are the files I have to preview for tommorrow. I like to have a little alcohol in my system when I look at them, just in case I run into something that will gross even me out.

*Jack dejectedly floats back to his seat. And takes another swig.*

Fade gives him the file back.

"I would say either a magical death or he was already dead when they cut that of."

Assuming here that the cuts are even.

[Mee]

"Okie dokie..." Songdancer said, trying to lick Naku's face.
"You make me feel better, so now you get licks of gratitude."

The licks are super effective!
"Awww, thank you."

However, now she's tacklehugged by Ashtrek.
Let's see, Ashtrek is, what, 11 feet tall? Ish?
And Naku's sitting on the staircase . . .
And getting super-hugged by muscles that have been said to destroy tanks do varying strong things . . .

Yeah, that crunching sound would probably be her ribcage.

Jamil: I can tell the head and hands were postmortem. I don't know about the rest... I'll be able to tell when I get in.

*He looks back up at Fade*

Jamil: Thanks for trying to help, though. Most people are too squeamish at stuff like this.

Help? Well Fade just spoke out what he thought and he is right isn't he.

"I just think the person doing this stuff is an idiot. He should learn to make such things while killing not after."

Again he speaks with this soundless voice, just like he really don't care about the guy or anything related.

[Mindfreak]

Especially since Naku was hugging Songdancer's neck already before Ashtrek did her tackle-hug so...
He wasn't comfortable anymore.

[Mee]

And the rib-y-cages on the bus go crunch crunch crunch . . .

"Hai, Ashtrek . . .
You're doin' really well on your promise to kill me."
Naku manages to gasp, between massive amounts of paaaain.

[Mindfreak]

"Can't...breath..." Songdancer manages to utter himself.
He was buried underneath both his vampire fiancé and Ashtrek now, it's hard to breath under that.
Not impossible, but it's not comfortable either.

Jamil:Ummmm... ok then.

*Jamil downs some more Ale, and returns to work, making notes on the page*

[Mee]

"Oops. Sorry Naku." The Hyena says, letting go.

"I've missed you. Haven't Seen you since the bombs fell."

Naku falls to the floor with interesting sounding *crunch*.

She manages to gasp, between being in pain.

Songdancer immediately tries to snuggle up beside her and give her a double dose of pure energy from his horn.
He had no idea what would come of such a thing, except he hoped they'd act like a healing spell, the energy speeding up any healing processes.
Though this may or may not actually work...
Either way he looks very worried!
"Look at that! You've hurt her! Oh Nooooooooooo!"

Jamil:Ummmm... ok then.

*Jamil downs some more Ale, and returns to work, making notes on the page*

"I wonder why your looking for such things. People kill each other and searching for them doesn't bring the dead back."

Actually Fade never killed for greed or for the killing itself, so he doesn't understand why anyone would do so.

It had taken longer than he would have liked to have spent with that dragon, but Saer was relieved to be back at the Inn several hours later.

Other than his shirt which was ripped all down his left side and half-covered in blood, he looked good. All things considered.

The orb, he'd put in his pocket with Nixa's ring. The rest of the descending time he'd spent musing over his left arm, flexing his fingers and the deep muscles in his forearm to try and relieve some of the dull, incessant aching.

Hells, that smarted.

Inside the Inn, he postponed going up to his room for a few minutes more as he went to the commonroom fireplace and, without preamble, stuck his entire left arm into the middle of the blaze.

Some help. The flames went to his skin as they always had, caressed it and melded with his flesh, but the aching never truly waned. The black lines of his veins still shown through clearly against his pale, alabaster skin. Well, Saer mused with a smirk, at least Nixa will be terribly amused.

Jamil: Sometimes it brings comfort to the families. Plus, it usually stops further killings.

[Zefir]

"Why don't they do it themself?"

Actually Fade only knows the law of nature. The strong kill the weak.

[Mee]

Naku's eyes glaze over just a bit.
"Gaaa, this hurts."
Though a bit of 'Dancer's energy does something.
Not terribly much, but it's a li'l bit!

""I'ma just pass out now, kay?"
She puts action to word, and does actually pass out!

[Mindfreak]

"Oh my gosh! We need a doctor!"

Fade's shadow now done with the work upstairs slides down the stairs. When it reaches The szene the shadow goes to a near wall and an echoing voice that sounds like Fade speaks to Songdancer.

"Should I help here?"

Song may remember that Fade is able to do healing he did it befor.^^

[Mee]

"Oh my gosh! We need a doctor!"

Well, besides having several broken ribs, and then getting poked, and probably making them worse, she's perfectly fine.

Except that she has next to no heart-beat.
But that might be normal.

Songdancer shook his head.
"I don't think we should. I think we should just let the doctor do his job. Since she's my fiancé...I think it should be my decision."
He wasn't exactly trusting magic right now.

Dave nods his head in understanding.
"Other than several broken ribs she'll be fine."
He reached into his lab coat and began removing the various things to hold her ribs tights they don't puncture a lung or something.
"I suggest getting her to a hospital or to a necromancer as soon as possible. Not a cleric as positive healing spells may hurt her as I'm guessing she's undead."

[JadeVamp]

Jamil: I don't know. The human, or inhuman in some cases, mind is a weird thing. That's actually why I usually work with corpses... it's easier for me.

And his dad is the god of burials. But he doesn't know that.

[Mee]

Well, she's still passed out.

And just remember, she's an odd vampire. Holy energy may still heal; but then again, it may not.
And I'm afraid I'm not gonna say anything, for fear of making up your characters' minds for them. And I dun wanna do that.

"I don't know how this should work. Working with cropse. They never talked to me and otherwise did anything."

Fade just shurgs.

The voice is still an echo and the only thing Fade cares right now is that her boss is near dead and that is a bad business relationship.

Jamil: I talk to ghosts often. The less shell-shocked ones usually follow their bodies for a while. Sometimes I can call them using the body as well. But most often I can look at a body and examine it to see how it was killed.

*He sips some ale*

Jamil: The only real problems I ever get are people trying to persuade me into not examining a body, and necromancers occasionally stealing bodies before I can examine them.

[ThirdEmperor]

Shrugging on his oversized denim coat and hiding a steak knife in the right-hand pocket, Strahd exits the kitchen and begins heading for the door, when what should he see but Ashtrek, standing over an apparently unconscious Naku. Darnit, he's never gonna get this graverobbing business over and done with, is he?

Shooting Ash a glare that could make trees suddenly discover the secrets of mobility and go running for the hills, Strahd makes his way over to the group of people clustered around the vampire, gesturing for them to clear back as he snaps his fingers, conjuring a small spark of fell magic.

[Mindfreak]

Both Songdancer and Dave don't look thrilled to see Strahd trying to do something.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Yes, this lady clearly needs to be brought to a hospital. I would call an ambulance but I don't have a cell phone anymore."

Sighing, Strahd dismisses the spell, taking a piece of paper from one of his coat's many pockets and hastily scribbling down an explanation.

"Necromancy. Spell for healing undead."

He's really starting to hate being mute, even if it's only for one more day. Even writing as fast as he can in short sentences with no regard for grammar, it still takes intolerably long to say anything.
