I'm hoping for additional broke ass student packages, I'm currently sitting on a NCftPB book(only one I don't have) but that's gonna come at the cost of eating one meal every two days for the rest of the week, and I could certainly wait for the full print run for the book, so I've been contemplating dropping to a lower bid and something amazing like the student package would make my life.

tl;dr rich is the best for thinking of us poor college kids at all, which goes well with my general enjoyment of food.

my credit card works on 90% of internet, but sometimes it's still refused. I assumed that since kickstarter let me pledge I wouldn't have problems, but the last update implies that it's not so and i will only find out at the actual payment.

What happens if my card is refused? will i lose all the stuff i pledged for, or shall i be able to still get it somehow?

Watch it to see if it goes through. You should get an email if it doesn't, and have a week to change it to another form of payment(presumably a card that does work).

You have a week after the drive ends to fix any problems with your card. I'm not sure how exactly that would work, though – maybe you can use a friend's card instead, maybe not. Hope this helps (at least a little). :/

You'll have seven days to try to fix the problem. Find an alternate source of payment, fix whatever problem is with your card, that sort of thing. Since I don't know your exact situation, I don't know if I can go into anymore details than that.

Urgh, that sucks. (We did nothing but play volleyball in PE. I'm terrible at volleyball; I caught the ball with my nose at least once every game. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of PE. )

At this point the 2000% is clearly within reach, it looks like we'll get there in 7-8 hours if this keeps up, especially if those 5 PATIENCE for YOUR D&D PARTY at $675 get picked up.


The spreadsheet has us as missing it by $13k, but its projection has been going up by $6k an hour, which would actually give us a final of $1.225M to $1.25M, so, all in all, I won't be surprised if we break 1 and a quarter million.

I think it's funny that a lot of people are taking note of this, frankly, outstanding Kickstarter result, yet a lot of them, even Forbes, miss one crucial thing that the Giant has been doing all the way through the pledge and is still doing right now. He's making it into a game. A game you can only play by pledging even more money. And that is just sheer brilliance.

Look at this thread as evidence. Each new goal pops up and we go into a frenzy trying to hit it. I'm not immune either, I would probably be a level or two lower if it hadn't been for this. I most likely wouldn't have registered to the forums either. And we're still at it. There's another line to hunt, can we beat 2000% funding? (Look at that number, by the way... 2000% funding! That's a crazy number!)

I'm impressed. The Giant is, perhaps intentionally, perhaps not, giving a masterclass in using game aspects outside games. Shouldn't be surprising, really, he's not just a great webcomic artist, he's also a game designer. That and he's so playing to the audience. A lot of us here like games. And swag. The tiered rewards is a great idea, too. I'm not sure if turning it into a game will work for all projects, I suspect it might not, but for this particular one, it's perfect.
