    Default Epic-level focused specialists

    Need help settling an argument.
If your character was a specialist/focused specialist and took improved spell capacity, would those lv10 and up spell levels also get the +1/+3 spells per day?

"A specialist wizard can prepare one additional spell of her specialty school per spell level each day. She also gains a +2 bonus on Spellcraft checks to learn the spells of her chosen school."
per spell level does not specify level 1-9, so yes.

Yeah his main argument against it is that it would be unbalancing.(theres a way to turn your 3 lv10 focused specialist spell slots into 9 free wish SLAs/day)

I'm not sure anything a caster does at epic levels can be considered balanced.

Yes, but epic levels untether their limitations even further. Reducing the cost of all metamagic, giving them extra quicken spells per round, etc.

"Oh no, they get one more quickened Shapechange per day! That's where I draw the line!"
