The panther bot nods.
"Affirmative. Will be assigned to Master Marciano."

It then proceeds to take out a contract.
It seems to be a working contract.
"Master Marciano, please sign this labor agreement."
Apparently, for the services rendered from the panther bot, Marciano is required to bring it in for tune ups, make no modifications to it, and call it Robert.

Marciano whines. "Aww......I like modifications! But....eh. Alrigh'. It needs tune-ups? Like a guitar?! Your name is Robert....Hehe...Robert. The immature halfling laughs a little at the name before trying to pat the thing on the head without poking a hole in his nice new clothes.

The panther bot moves back so he isn't touched.
"No touching me till you sign the agreement." he says, offering the agreement and a pen to sign it with.

"Not really. There is no point in returning to a world bader then this one."

"Really. That bad, huh?" Ilpholin briefly wonders what that'd be like. She's lived in the Nexus for the most part all her life, so it's hard to visualize. Even if she got stuck in one of the least friendly areas.

"Well, if you aren't planning on returning, why do you continue to follow the orders from that place?"

Marciano stares at he thing and then signs the agreement in hastily written spelling that just might be the worst ever seen....but at least he can spell right? "Bloody thing...Alrigh'. I'm 'ere. I signed great...Now I 'ave t' go back to me factory an' ge' a pile 'o' jewels...sadly the only way there so far is through inside...I'll 'ave to make a tunnel there soon...maybe with shuttlecars...yeah...those are like li'l rollercoasters...fun stuff... Marciano walks out of the office hopefully followed by the pantherbot. Grantaire gets up and it appears he was eating something out of his bag seeing as his face is covered in sprinkles. Grantaire sees his boss and wipes his face with his sleeve. Marciano glares, disgusted. Duo...you don't...I bough' you nice clothes...but....you don't...jus'....nevermind...why do I keep ya around...Oh yeah....I run faster. Marciano heads to the door and into

"Fifteen biplanes and their succubi pilots in addition to the ones in Nephrim's squadron and, should you wish it, some Karkassoliths in addition to Dam'Bul. More biplanes may be forthcoming as I construct more, though the process is slow. I need to import most of the raw materials." Pazuzu would offer some vrocks, but they get bored easily and are liable to go on a rampage of slaughter.

Nephrim is still staring at the sunburst banner with the stereotypical disembodied demon's head displayed upon it. The way she isn't moving suggests that something is holding her in place.

If Marciano wants to be disgusted he should look in a mirror.

Ilpholin leaves her door open to air out the smoke, then goes to return to the two vampires she left waiting.

"And I'm back."

Huh. Yet it didn't affect Ilpholin. Keyed to Nephrim perhaps? Something to ask Nephrim about later.

"That offer is certainly very generous of you. I would be happy to accept your aid." If for nothing else, but the succubi pilots.

The panther bot scoops up the agreement and stores it within.
"Very well, let us go then."

"Excellent. If you would like more biplanes, I'd also be willing to trade them for [insert enough leather or other cloth to act as a skin for two biplanes]. They won't come with pilots, though I'm sure Nephrim could teach others how to fly them." Leather is the main resource needed by Pazuzu- it not only helps construct existing ones, but repairs the holes left from battle.

"I see. Well, with our current plans, we can probably set something up along those lines, yes." Start flight training. Get the gnolls to tribute leather and such.

"It is interesting to see a demon lord such as yourself working with more modern technology."

"The Devils started it, fuelling war machines with damned souls. This is levelling the playing field. If you find designs for more flying machines, I'd be willing to swap them for more biplanes, gold or anything else you would like." Biplanes are modern technology, but they aren't very modern compared to the stuff in the skies now. Although the demons are hindered by their nature- they are a species of bullies, destroying anybody weaker than they are. Intelligence is a strength, but training the brain tends to neglect the body and create weakness in that arena. Pazuzu stole the design for the biplanes.

"Ah. I see. Well, we'll keep a look out for better machines for you. I'm sure we'll be able to find something."

"Oh, and keep an eye on Nephrim. I know she wants to sit here one day. But, she's useful and unique." Nephrim still hasn't moved. Not even blinked, though with her weird pure-white eyes she probably sees through magic anyway.

"Oh. Unique? How so?" Ilpholin asks, turning to look at Nephrim more directly.

"Some sort of binding spell you got going on?"

"The Celestial Chorus has only suffered one defection, and that was Nephrim. Sort of. I'm using the air to bind her limbs in place, cover her eyes and block her ears. She cannot move, nor can she hear or see." Pazuzu sounds as though He's smiling. It's hard to be sure, though, since He has a beak instead of a mouth.

"Well that must be mildly annoying to deal with."
I'm pretty sure it's more than that.

Ilpholin turns away from Nephrim though and back to Lord Pazuzu, having nothing more to add on that front.

"I suppose. I've never really thought about it. Is there anything else you wish to discuss?" Looks like Pazuzu's covered everything He wanted to, too.

"Not at this time, no. I'll be sure to contact you should any new developments arise." Ilpholin replies.

"Then you may leave." Judging by the way Nephrim stumbles, she's just been released from the invisible bindings of air. Pazuzu lazily waves His left hand in an obvious dismissal.

"Thank you." Ilpholin says, bowing again before turning to walk out. Presumably with Nephrim, but she might have to stay for secret orders or something.

Nephrim will accompany Ilpholin out of the Throne Room. She has no secret orders. Although since Pazuzu had enough power to bind her and block her eyes and ears with air, He could have whispered orders into Nephrim's ears.

Nephrim will lead Ilpholin out of the throne room through the corridor (although the right-angle has changed- it's the opposite direction to the way it should be). and then over the horizon to the airport runway, where there's a biplane waiting.

"So that air trick must be annoying for you, huh?" Ilpholin asks Nephrim as she climbs into the plane, giving the succubi a sultry smile.

"Yes, it is. It's unusual for me to be bound like that; usually it's my companions, and not myself, who have the secure conference." Nephrim is quite high-ranking. Nephrim flaps up to grab hold of the top wing of the biplane.

The succubus smiles back, though she's less attractive than one would expect- she has a large build, crooked nose and a vaguely masculine face. When Ilpholin's ready, it takes off and heads home. After it leaves, another nineteen join it, flying towards the portal back to AMEN.

"Huhwhat?" Becky gets snapped out of her daydreaming by Dave's comment, but before she can react he gets Clarissanapped!

...this makes the shadowdancer start giggling!

"What are you laughing at? I'm getting snuggles, you aren't."
Not to mention that the tails seemed to be specifically responding to him, not her boosting his confidence.
Which is why he'll reciprocate Clarissa's actions.

So twenty biplanes in total, yes?

Ilpholin just takes the time to enjoy the strange sensation of flying. Weird.

Yes, 20 biplanes. Nephrim's squadron of five biplanes, plus three more squadrons of five biplanes that Pazuzu has seconded to Ilpholin's command. Though it's likely they'll answer to Nephrim in battle, or if the Fallen Chorister decides to rebel against Ilpholin, though that's unlikely.

"Vampire hunters in our world tend to use flame spheres, harpoon are more seldom used I admit though. Then there are the light towers..." She shudders. "Let's just say people around here aren't as specialized against vampires as others."

"Oh."

Rot doesn't know what those things are! He can guess, though. He nods at Ilpholin when she returns.

"Hello again."

The forms, if they weren't already, are presumably handed over.

When they return, Ilpholin will tell Nephrim, "Well I've gotten all I need from you in terms of the interview and such. Thank you."

"So is there another step in this procedure?" Cybil asks once the forms are turned in.

"Well, yes actually. There's interviews. They'll probably be brief since we just did them for the most part. And for newcomers, there's a background check. In your case, that'll probably just consist of going to talk to Lavthos, but there may be other steps." Forms are thoroughly taken for sure this time!
