Xykon and Serini's gate

Just a thought: considering what happened the last time Xykon tried to wander through a dungeon filled with powerful monsters, do you think he'll need to recruit more cannon fodder before trying for the final gate?

I don't think he'll go back for more hobgoblins - he tends to grab the nearest army at hand.

The Linear Guild and/or Tarquin's team. High-level adventurers are much more portable and better suited for dungeon crawling. And then he could just fry what's left of them when they reach the Gate.
