To the high esteemed order of the Purple Dragons

By the request of my superiors I was instructed to function as the "eyes and ears" of the dragons and the fair city of Wheloon. To the surviving members of the then illegal adventure party that exposed the Shar embarrassment , the Wheloon Vigilantes.

Axara, Maesyn Silverhair, Savin Ro Tukal and Ryxikor Ravensclaw.

On our 3th day we rescued the woman Rayen when we inspected a sight that was located on one of the maps of the prisoner Mhair had drawn before it's arrest, The Tomb of Conis. Where she was held prissoner by a group of Shar worshippers.

I can report that none of them survived.

Rayen on the other hand joined the adventure party.
(Please update the archive a soon as possible)

When our party reached the Vast Swamp we discovered that not only our fair city has suffered from the evil influence of Shar and he followers.

The Lizardfolk there have suffered as well as there kin was hunted for sport and there dead raised to fight against them.
These so called "Shadow Slain" are able to suck arcane energy away from it's caster

As the follwers of Shar captured some of there tribe mates we had little trouble convincing there current leader Kessessek. To escort us to the last refuge.

There we rescued four of the missing people in Wheloon

Savin stands back, silently, as the others discuss good and evil.
Civilized city folk he thinks to himself with a shake of his head.

"What will you do with Mhair now? Escort him back to Whelon?"
"Eventually. My concern right now is about our companion, Ryxikor. I do not like the idea of him being stuck somewhere, possibly in danger, without help and we just abandoning him. Do we wait or do some of us follow him?"

"Agreed, but how do we find him?" asks Maesyn. "He could have decamped for the swamp, or passed through the shadow orb, or attempted to use this portal... but Quill says that no one of good heart can pass through."

He ponders. "Although... I've found that most magical restrictions of that sort can be bypassed if one concentrates on projecting the right aura. Ryx seems the type of fellow to have that sort of facility. I've done it once or twice myself, but it's a tricky thing to get right."

Quill writes a long letter in Quill’s style that no one can really imitate. Axara smiles and thanks him.

Maesyn expresses his concerns about Ryxikor. Axara thinks about it for a moment “I think that he must have activated the portal. It is only us and the lizardfolks and we are the only one who knew how to activate it. Quill confirmed the portal has been used once recently. Let’s see if anyone of us go through it. They should take Quill letters and the two we found on the Shadar-kai. I obviously cannot say what is needed to activate the portal nor want to be near it when people say it. Rayen and Quill said they would likely fail to activate the portal. Before we use your magical solution, let’s have Savin try.

She gives the letters to Savin and moves away.

For a moment, Savin looks shocked as Axara hands him the letter... which slowly turns into a scowl.

"Hmmm... all you magicky types and I get to be the Flea Cat**?" he growls and stomps around a bit before settling down, and after a time of cajoling him, he finally relinquishes, agreeing to go through the portal after his ally.

"Alright, alright, alright already. Just walk me through the instructions on how to do this again."
As Quill walks him through it he says "Should I bring our prisoner with me? I would feel better knowing I had to look after him rather than leaving him with you guys."

After Maesyn interjects, he says "Mayhap, but I might have the best chance to move around by myself. Which isn't the same thing as saying I have the best chance of extracting Ryx from any situation he may have gotten himself into."

"Yes I have something I want to say. What happened to that catamaran?" Ryx starts off not letting the subject drop so easily, "What did you do with it? What, do you and your city official drunkards have parties on it out on the Wyvern Flow? Probably pass your women around to share with each other, huh?" The elf wonders just what may agitate this officer, figuring a purple dragon that's not an officer might be more liable to react, who knows until I try, Ryx thinks to himself, obviously enjoying berating the dragons, but also still looking for a likely way out, and counting how many guards are in the immediate vicinity.

Standing towards the back corner of the cell, Ryx unbuckles his trousers, lowering them, he begins peeing all over the stone floor, way away from where he has been sitting and may have to sleep. "Hmm, how to activate the portal?" the elf nonchalantly asks as he props his left arm against the back wall, "Well, is there someone here that will understand these instructions? They're quite comprehensive and challenging, I'm a little afraid they'll just be confusing to clowns like you humans, the purple dragons, whom let Mhair, the handsome river-rafter, go after we captured him."

After relieving himself, Ryx buckles his trousers back up and moves away from his pee puddle, crossing his arms he says, "You have to touch beneath a couple of Fembry's trophies and say 'May the Lady of Mysteries rot in the Abyss', or something like that." Ryx says with a wave of his hand, "Now bring me my d*mn hat!"

Axara looks at Maesyn. “Trip back? I am not sure we are going back to Wheloon. I would like Savin to see if Tunaster or some higher up Mystrans could look at the letter, hear what we have to say and advise us. And I think if we need protection, we could convince Kessessek to lend us a few warriors to guard Mhair.

Savin is surprised at first of the duty to use the portal. He feels like a guinea pig (or a flea cat) and wonders if Mhair should come with him. Maesyn tells him not to worry and to go find out what is happening to Ryxikor. Quill reinforces the idea that bringing Mhair is a bad idea.

The warrior, having the letters in hand, nods at the silver elf and touches the proper place on the statue and activates the portal.

    Ryxikor

As soon as he talks about the catamaran and orgies in it, the officer rolls his eyes. He gets and then watches the rogue empty his bladder on the floor. He shakes his head and leaves. Ryxikor finally provides the information and requests his hat but the request falls on deaf hears.

    Savin

As soon as Savin appears, he feels the 4 blades on his neck with the same orders to surrender that Ryxikor got. He slowly show them the letter from Quill. The purple dragon take the letter and leaves. He comes back a few minutes later and orders Savin to follow him, accompanied by the other 3 guards. He is lead to the office of Constal Tholl, the head of the purple dragon. In the office is Tunaster and the officer who interrogated Ryxikor.

They look at the letter from Estelle Graycastle and Tunaster looks worried. They ask Savin more details about what has happened since they left and after he answers to their satisfaction, they tell him he is free to go. He can lodge at the Wyvern Inn on the city and come back at 9:00 tomorrow. Savin about Ryxikor and the officer replies “Your “friend” has insulted and mocked the purple dragons and even exposed himself. He has soiled his living quarters. I think that a night spent in his own urine without food will be a good lesson.

The warrior has a wonderful resting night and comes back the following morning. Only Tholl and Tunaster are present. The priest speaks first “I have spoken with my superior and this is a very worrying situation. Any attempt on the Weave is a grave danger to the Realms. It needs to be investigated immediately. I would like you to go back to the Lost Refuge and instructs Axara to go through the Shadow Plane portal and find out what in happening there and the true nature of the attack on the Weave. I believe the portal works the same way from this side.

Tholl adds “We are bringing you your friends and decided to clear him of his offense thank to the work your group has done so far. He owes you a big thank you.” He gives him two sealed letters. “One is for the soldiers at the temple to allow you to go to the portal. The other is for Axara from the church.

    Ryxikor & Savin

After an evening without food and a night spent smelling his own urine, the rogue is in the foulest of mood when the officer appears. He starts insulting and mocking him but the officer just opens the cell and tell him to follow him. He brings him outside to the streets and to wait here. A few minutes later, Savin appears holding all of Ryxikor possession. The officer salutes Savin and leaves.

Savin and Ryxikor spends the rest of the morning trading and buying all they need. After that, they go to the temple, show the first letter, are accompanied to the portal and activate it, one at a time.

    Axara, Quill, Rayen and Maesyn.

The four heroes spend a night of rest in the Lost Refuge with the lizardfolks providing guard duties. After a breakfast of meat of questionable source they wait. Finally Ryxikor, then Savin appears through the portal.

The elf wakes up early, unable to sleep much in his current situation. Ryx rises from his seated position when the purple dragon officer appears and unlocks the cell door. Ryx follows the officer when he beckons him, the mercenary wondering where he may be led to, To his execution maybe? But if that was the case there would probably be more guards around, to at least guard this officers life, The thoughts roll through the elf's mind as he clenches his fists getting ready for a fight, and hopefully a daring escape. Suddenly, realization hits when the officer opens the door to the streets outside, he is being freed. Ryx stares at the man, wondering what has happened for such a change of heart. Ryx is just about to start questioning the officer when he sees Savin round the corner and come into his vision.

Immediately, Ryx's attitude softens and a genuine smile starts to appear on his face, "Ah Savin....." Ryx seems to want to say more, but can't find the correct words at the moment, because the elf's start of a smile starts looking more questionable, as he leans to the side a bit to see if anyone is following behind the plains warrior, "Where is Quill?" figuring the gnome would be the best suited to extract Ryx from this situation. Then starting to look around, "Where is Axara, and Maesyn the silver-tongued minstrel?" At that moment Ryx is getting closer to the chain wielding warrior, and Savin can see the questioning look in the elf's features.

Looking at the guard, Savin only nods for Ryx to follow.

Once they are safely out of earshot of anyone, Savin answer his elven friend.
"The others are still in the swamp. After Mhair received his justice at the hands of Kessessek, we realized you were nowhere to be found. Our Master Gnome and the others were able to deduce what had happened to you, at that point."
Savin holds on his narrative while they go through another gate and, once the area is clear while they walk, he continues.
"Due to some ability of the statue only certain people of different outlook than, say, our comely friend Axara could travel while should could not. It was determined that I would, with some small instruction, had the best chance of finding and bringing you back. Which, really, was easier with a note from Quill to the Purple Dragons. I simply acted as the messenger." As he leads the elf about, Ryx realizes they are heading towards the market district.
"There is more of the tale to tell, and we have to transport ourselves back to our allies, quickly according to what Tholl and Tunaster described, but this is neither the time or place for that discussion. What we need to concentrate is on getting back to the others. As you can tell, however, we have not headed in that direction. I believe that we need to equip ourselves, along with gather supplies for the others, while we are here. The peril is great. Greater than we could have imagined, and could spread through all the realms." With a rueful grin, he nudges Ryx on the shoulder and says "It would seem that the Gods have determined to see us as heroes or die trying. Either way, honor and glory may be our for the taking. What say you, friend?"

Ryxikor accepts his weapons and gear from Savin, checking everything to make sure nothing is missing or broken, then, with not even a glance back to the purple dragons, Ryx dons his hat and follows the plainsman, as he prefers to speak in privacy.

The elven mercenary listens carefully to Savin, almost in disbelief, "The others, all still in the swamp?...." as he starts erupting in laughter, "and they send the plainsman in to get me out of trouble, hahahaha, well done man!!" he says in an excitable tone, and clasps the warrior on each shoulder with each of Ryx's hands, and giving him a rough shake, "Well done indeed!" he blurts out again, interrupting the warrior at different points in his story.

"Oh?...really, Quill huh,..." he says nodding his head in thought, "the gnome is showing some ingenuity with his spellcasting. Hmm, we best keep that one alive. The purple dragons thought I killed him, and I guess the rest of you, and escaped using that portal. I believe they're already building gallows for me, luckily you just arrived." he says as he gives the man yet another shake.

Then letting go, not wanting to invade the plainsman's space too much, Ryx continues to listen, "Interesting. Very interesting." Ryx says as he thinks of the statue and it's ability to distinguish the difference, "Hmm, must be because we're the most trustworthy eh?" he says, with a laugh as he lightly smacks Savin in his muscled arm, "Ya know, those priests and priestesses, always pushing their religion on everyone, spewing out scriptures only to their own benefit. But yes Axara is a pretty one, but there is something strange about her, like she's hiding something." suddenly Ryx snaps his lean fingers, "See, untrustworthy, hahaha."

"And then there's the politician." Ryx quickly continues, "I knew when Quill said he was joining us, it was just to spy on us, hmph." He throws his arm out back towards the purple dragons quarters, "Politicians, city officials, they all have their own agenda and can't be trusted." he blurts out not caring who hears.

Then Ryx stops in mid-stride, grabbing Savin by the arm, he spins them both so they are looking at each other, "Then there's the minstrel, there's a tricky one there, always seeming so trusting, but you know those bards, always charming and beguiling others to do their wants and bidding" Ryx just shakes his head, "and that one even has some of the 'true' blood in him, that's a shame."

"And I don't know much of Rayen, but I've never met a dragon I could trust, what about you.? Haha" He says with a light chuckle. "You see, that has to be it, no-one is as trustworthy as the likes of us, Hahaha hahaha!"

The elven rogue, full of mirth, now that he's out of jail, for the time being, stops again in mid-stride when he hears Savin speak of 'more of the tale to tell' and sees the destination of the market district. Looking at the warrior, seemingly almost pleading all of the sudden, "Savin, I understand and agree we need supplies. But I am in great need of a good hearty meal,..." his stomach growls, almost agreeing with the elf, "...they fed me nothing while they kept me in jail. I know of a place to get a good meal, a hot bath, then we'll have a clear mind to get all the supplies needed for our return journey." The elf stares at Savin, "This won't take too long. We've liberated the keep, the others are safe til we get back. Just a little bit of a reward for that and saving my hide, the first few rounds of ale are on me." thinking that surely caught the plainsman's attention.

Before Savin can react, Ryx throws his arm out towards a passerby, "Good sir, " the elf yells out to the elderly gentleman, "Could you please direct two weary travelers to the Little Red Fox Inn?" He asks with his mischievous smile. Once the stranger looks the two up and down, and gives directions to Mhair's favored inn, Ryx pulls Savin in tow, "Come young plain's warrior, and finish this tale in the tavern." he says with an inviting smile.

Savin looks a bit uncomfortable as they enter the Little Red Fox Inn with Ryx.

As they sit at a table, a scantily clad waitress comes and takes their order. After Ryx orders, Savin orders a double helping of the potatos, bacon, and eggs.

Once everyone is out of earshot, he responds to his companion.
"I agree. Our gnome shepard seems to be more resourceful than meets the eye. As far as the statue... pah. I don't garner to others high-minded ideals. Right is right and wrong is wrong. It is as easy as that. Some make problems where there are none, t'would seem. I think that you are right, something in the lady's past colors her view now." Taking a drink of the watered down juice, he thinks for a moment. The waitress returns with their breakfast and, between mouthfuls, he continues.
"Mayhap Maesyn is less than meets the eye but he has been a stout ally since I have met him. Rayen, too, like our gnome friend, has been here a short time and though she has her own agenda, it would seem that since it interwines with our own, she has proven herself able and useful." signaling the waitress, he asks for and receives some hot sauce, salt, and pepper which he then liberally applies to his mound of food.
"Having never met a dragon before, I have no knowledge other than the tales of my people. Most speak of the ravagers of men but some speak of the valiantry of the golds and bronzes in protect in our people in the past. "
Double checking to make sure that no one is in earshot, he leans forward slightly towards the elf.
"Tholl and Tunaster spoke of these devil-blighted Sharans as making an assault on the very Weave itself. While my knowledge of magic is scant I do know that this will imperil the whole of the realms. I think that, once you have bathed, we need to resupply quickly and return to the others. They instructed me to direct Lady Axara to go to the Shadow Portal. My intention is to accompany her if she takes their direction. While you have been a worthy friend and a doughty warrior in our fights, I, and I think the others, would understand if you didn't accompany us through the portal. I am unsure if any of the others besides Lady Axara will but I will not abandon her in so perilous a mission. While you ponder this, finish your meal and have your bath. The spoils of our mission I have brought with me, along with a list of items that the others wished us to get. Once we have done this, you can make your choice."
With that Savin fully engages in finishing his meal, taking the ale that Ryx had offered earlier as he waits on his friends to make himself more liveable.

After taking a couple of turns, and walking not too far, the Little Red Fox Inn wasn't too hard to find. Upon entering the establishment, Ryxikor is glad to see there are as many serving girls as there are patrons, plus they all are attractive. The rogue follows Savin and a buxom waitress to a table, where he promptly orders an ale for each, plus water, wanting to stay hydrated, and asks if any stew is being served. Glad to be informed the inn is serving both breakfast and lunch at this time, Ryxikor is quick to order a large bowl of fresh made stew and a piece of garlic and herb roasted chicken, with fresh bread.

After the waitress returns with ales, Ryx is quick to hoist one up taking a long drink. "Aye." he says, taking another long pull off his mug, "The little one does seem to have some heart, to have stayed right with us, during each of the fights, and then to run into an undead half-dragon, hmph, the little one shows some heart." Ryx reiterates as he finishes his ale, then looks over his shoulder for a serving girl for another round.

Once the serving girl returns with the second round, accompanied with the meal, Ryx smiles with his boyish charm as he grabs a wooden spoon in one hand and a steaming piece of bread in the other. He doesn't hesitate, as it's been a few days since he's had any kind of really good food, he dips his bread into the stew and fishes out a piece of venison with the spoon. Between mouthfuls of the venison, potatoes and carrots, and large gulps of ale to help wash it down, Ryx continues to discuss the others in the group of heroes. "He definitely has a certain flare about him, a purple brick wall, and a large butterfly....different, yet, surprisingly effective. Hmph, bookworms."

Finishing the roasted chicken breast and working on yet another bowl of stew, not knowing when he might get another chance to eat such meals served by such wanting women, "Well, it was just one dragon, and..." he hesitates sheepishly, then finishes off another mug of ale, "Well, it wasn't too large, but even the little ones are extremely dangerous. We had a dwarven wizard traveling with us who wore it's head as a cap, strange one he was." Ryx says as he reminisces about past campaigns, the rogue then looks around til he catches one of the girls attention, once she makes her way across the inn's large room, "Ah yes, I'd like another round for me and my friend. Also, I'd like to inquire about a hot bath. With two assistants to help wash the hard to get areas." he says with a wink. Once the young serving girl rushes off, Ryx continues, "Yes, she has been rather quiet the short time she's been with us, and yes she definitely has her own agenda, and yes has been quite helpful. Just seems secretive." he says bluntly, as he doesn't quite know the word he wants to use, as he stares into the bottom of his empty mug. He looks over his shoulder, searching out the server, not seeing her Ryx turns back to Savin, "Secretive....I'd like to know what secrets Axara hides. I mentioned once the name of a brothel I've frequented numerous times and she acted like she knew of the place, like she knew it well."

Finally, the serving girl, returning with the information Ryx requested, explains, "The bath will be drawn and ready in fifteen minutes, and two 'assistants' are freshening up."as she motions to a door in the back of the room with two pretty workers moving towards smiling as they steal a glance towards the elf. "Ahh, fifteen minutes...just enough time to finish my meal and this mug." he says as he takes a large gulp and holds the mug up in salute.

Ryx sets his mug down for a moment, looks through his pouch and pulls out two pieces of paper, sliding one across the table, "So Savin, do you think I can cash in this iou?" he says with a disarming smile. "Now we surely have to keep the young handsome minstrel alive, he has a rather sizable iou, to pay upon." he says with a wink, but somehow anyone watching would swear Ryx was deadly serious.

Finally, what seemed an eternity, two rather beautiful serving girls come and lightly grab Ryx by the arms, playing and giggling, they let him grab his drink and then a pitcher of ale for him and the two wenches, he turns to Savin and gives the plainsman another wink and another salute, "Aye Savin, you should watch out for the Purple Dragons. If they were to see us in here, they'd probably arrest us for not leaving immediately, and going back to protect our city official, young pagemaster, Quill." He snatches his hat off his head by the wide brim and uses it in a sweeping bow, only to return it quickly back to his head, "I shall return, in an hour or few." he says with a grin that was quite sinister.

After a couple of hours go by, a door opens upstairs, and two ladies and Ryx walk out. The elf looking in much better spirits, still has the sheepish smile on his face as he walks down the stairs and back over to the table where Savin sits. "Ah, now that helps to make one feel much better." Ryx says, as Savin is realizing Ryx is not only clean but has a new set of clothes on, with the dirt and grime, from the swamp, being washed off his armor and boots. Ryx's hair has been washed and is pulled back tight into a long ponytail, with his trademark black wide brimmed hat, cleaned and placed on top of his head, tilted at just the right angle.

"Clean, properly fed, and a few drinks, I think we're ready to hit the market. What say you, Savin?" Ryx asks the plains warrior, still holding a mug of ale.

Ryx looks at Savin curiously, wondering why the warrior has become so quiet. Ryx quickly looks over his shoulder expecting to see purple dragons standing behind him, but none are there, the elf only sees a few more pretty waitresses that weren't in the inn before, Hmm, wonder if that's why he's so quiet, maybe he's contemplating taking a girl for a while. Ryx just smiles and tries to flag down a waitress for another round.

Shaken out of his revelry by his returned friend, Savin slowly nods sheepishly.
"My mind was on the plains. It has been some years since I was able to run, free, along the great, rolling expanse of my forefathers." Giving Ryx a crooked grin, he continues "I imagine, though different, you may feel the same about your homeland." Looking down, he realizes he had downed 6 mugs of ale while waiting for Ryx. "Although, this early in the morning, the drink may have something to do with it." Standing, he slap Ryx on the back.
"Come, we have things to do and I fear that, if we fail, thing could turn ill for both our homelands in addition to ourselves. Besides, our pint-sized keeper sent me a list of groceries to get from the market." at which point he jabs Ryx in the ribs with his elbow and laughs a harsh laugh. "I'll play the maiden in this because I truly underestimated him and he has proven himself in this manner. Besides, with the coin I've been hording along with what we have gained recently, I could use some equipment that may help us in the impending conflicts that seem to be appearing upon the horizon. The wind blows through the grass but cares not if a simple warrior runs along it. But I mean to run along it, Shar be damned."
With that, his laugh stops short as his face turns grim. "Best be on our way. I feel a sense of urgency at leaving the others in the swamp. They may need our strength of arms sooner than later."
He then proceeds out the door with Ryx in tow.
"Besides, if I leave you here too long, you'll be doing nothing but 'bathing' all day." he says with a sly grin.

Ryxikor sits, sipping on his ale, listening to the plainsman. The elven mercenary, who usually always works alone, realizes he's glad to have stayed with this group of adventurers, and instead of leaving Cormyr and the purple dragons, he's ready to get back to the others, as he agrees they may need their help soon. Ryx turns his mug up and finishes the last of his ale, then as he rises to leave, the effects of all the ale he has drank in the last few hours is having an effect on him. Not quite drunk, but with a definite good sized buzz, the elf laughs and staggers behind Savin out the front door. With a misstep here and there, Ryx follows savin back to the market place to resupply before meeting the others.

Keeping Savin in sight, Ryx wanders around the booths and kiosks looking for anything he may need or want. The elven warrior picks up and handles different rapiers and short swords made of excellent craftsmanship, and also a harness that holds a pair of magnificent throwing daggers he liked very much, but without the gold Ryx can't afford to purchase any of these.

Finally, walking near a leatherworker, Ryx stops and examines his wares, his eyes scan over everything, but finally settle on a whip. Picking it up and trying it out, Ryx brings the whip back and lashes out with it, only to catch himself on the cheek and drawing a little blood under his right eye, as he hasn't practiced with a whip before. Not letting this bother the elf, he drops a gold coin on the table and hooks the whip to the back of his weapon's belt, where it is hidden below his backpack and underneath his cloak.

After buying another set of manacles, Ryx continues to look through the market place and vendors to see what he may need.

As they walk through the bazaar-like market, Savin keeps an eye on his friend as he can tell he's a little tipsy.

As they wander around, he goes to various shops looking for items of magic, especially a wand to replace his almost empy healing wand along with replenishing his stock of potions that cause him to grow along with a list of sundry items that the gnome had given him, which he needs Ryx's help at some points, the cryptic writing being a bit hard on his eyes.

After spending a couple of hours with various merchants and depriving them and their childrens' livelyhood for generations to come, they move out and being to head back towards the portal.

Ryx is glad to help the plainsman with Quill shopping list, but it is quite an amusing site, both of the two warriors trying to decipher the bookworm's handwriting.

Just as the two are close to finishing their massive resupply, Ryx comes across just what the two need. Of course Ryx hasn't forgotten the harassment the plainsman gave the rogue, and the half-drunk elf can't wait to jab at Savin as he sees the opportunity, "Savin!" he yells, much like a drunk Ryxikor would, "I've found just what your looking for." the laughing elf says as he holds up a tent. Ryx is sure to buy one to replace his torn one. If Savin objects, Ryx is quick to add, "Well then, as you sleep at night under the stars, I hope the bird of paradise craps on your sleeping face, hahaha." Ryx just laughs and laughs as he pictures Savin some morning, after such an occurrence.

After the shopping is done, the two walk back to the fake temple, and eventually make their way back through the portal to rejoin the others.

After letting Savin go through the portal first, Ryx takes a few deep breaths and does what is needed to activate the portal. Once the elf is teleported back to the room at the keep in the swamp, he vomits again, making sure not to get anything on his boots or clothing. After wiping off his mouth and spitting out anything left over in his mouth, Ryx moves throughout the keep looking for the others.

Ryxikor Ravensclaw, happy to be alive and out of the purple dragon's jail, definitely is still half drunk. He searches out the keep looking for some place to relieve himself. He passes by Quill as the gnome maps the keep, "Hey little one, those purple dragons are a$$holes." he says the last under his breath, but being drunk doesn't mean much. The elf continues on until he reaches a corner, he unbuckles his weapon's belt, takes off his cloak, drops his trousers and proceeds to write 'Ryx' was here' with his urination. Afterwards he gets rid of the delicious food he ate earlier in the day. Thank goodness he bought some charmin.

Once the group of heroes are all together again in the keep, it is obviously apparent to the group Ryx is half drunk. If Axara tries to cast a spell, like healing or something to try and relieve the effects of the alcohol, the elf sheepishly complies and lets her.

As the heroes all stand together in the main room, Ryx draws organripper as he prepares to enter the shadows to teleport to the next leg of their journey. "Everyone ready?" Ryx asks as he mentally tries to prepare for the plane jump.

After a day of heavy drinking, eating greasy food and philandering with Ladies of the Night, Ryxikor is ready to go back to the keep. Savin, who patiently waited for him as the elf was wasting his money on booze and women, has all the purchases that he was asked to make. In addition, before they are able to go through the portal again, Tunaster gives the plainsman a bag. "This is for Axara."

As they return to the Lost Refuge, Quill's assistant is really happy for the dead cooked chicks. The gnome is glad to see that Savin was able to get every thing on his shopping list.

Maesyn, Rayen and Axara all had a quiet night. It seems that the ordeal with Mhair had affected them significantly.

Savin gives the bag to Axara and she pulls out a parchment. She turns a little white as she reads it and then face her friends "I am not sure what your plans are going forward by I have been instructed by my Church to go to the Plane of Shadows through the portal and gather more information about the threat on the Weave and eliminate it if possible. None of you are Mystrans although the magic users know that without the Weave, there is no magic. So I cannot extend my orders to you. I hope you will decide to accompany me in that evil plane but I understand if you decide not to. Regardless, the Church has appreciated your efforts and has gathered some gifts as a thank you and hopefully a motivation to accompany me."

She pulls out of the bag the following things:
    • 3 scrolls of daylight
    • 2 scrolls of dispel magic
    • 1 scroll of summon monster III
    • 5 potions of protection from evil
    • 1 potion of remove disease
    • 1 potion of remove curse

"Feel free to share this among yourself. I have also been asked to send Mhair through the portal. I will give you some time to think about your decision to join me in the plane of shadow. I will wait by the portal and then share what I know about the plane of shadow."

She walks by Ryxikor and stops. She smells the rogue and shake your head. "The oldest trick in the world. You went to a house of ill repute didn't you? And you had the best time of your life. Tell me, did you drink ale while you where there? And did the girls play with perfume? I bet you all did and you had the best hallucination in the world. The smell of it is undeniable. Listen Ryxikor, if you want a good time, go for a pro."

The elf thinks about it and some clarity appears in his fogged mind. He did feel great after the "bath" but did not feel as relieved as he usually do. What he tricked?

Axara then takes Mhair and accompanied by Kessessek and 2 lizardfolks, brings him to the portal. "You know how to activate it, Mhair. And know I am sorry."

The deformed blonde rafter looks at her "That symbol might fool them but I know who you really are. You might act all holy but we both know where you belong." Before Axara can say anything, Mhair activates the protal and disappears. Axara looks around, happy that her friends did not hear Mhair's comments.

She goes by the orb and waits.

As Mhair disappears into the portal, Savin can see that the priestess is disturbed but, as she has proved herself a stout warrior time and again, he leaves her to her own thoughts, knowing he is not the one to comfort an ally.

"Lady, I have had the past day to think on it. Honestly, when Tholl and Tunaster spoke to me of the threat it was bare moments before I made my decision. I will aid you in this quest. The threat to the realms is to great for one to sit and hope another will come forward to do what needs to be done. I can only think that Tempus put me upon this path because my skills will be needed. To do otherwise to be a coward."

With that he moves towards he belongings to check to make sure he has everything he needs.

Rayen listens to Axara's orders and turns the idea over in her mind. In helping them fight those in the keep, she feels that she has paid her debt to them when they saved her life. But something is giving her pause in leaving. She ponders on the thoughts for a few moments before walking over to Axara.

"I just want to go home. I have been away for too long now and Thore is probably thinking I finally left for good." She pauses and crosses her arms. "I know nothing of this business with the Weave, but if by destroying it there will be no more magic..... Well that is a much larger concern then worrying about a dragon missing one human." She reaches out to lay her hand on Axara's arm for a moment. "I will go with you."

Upon hearing Axara's declaration, and eavesdropping on the others and knowing their choices, Ryxikor now knows the truth of the situation, If something happens to Quill or Axara, the purple dragons will blame me and hunt me down throughout Cormyr, he thinks to himself.

The rogue then remembers what Savin mentioned at the Little Red Fox inn, when he mentioned honor and glory may be theirs for the taking, Honor and glory he keeps repeating in his head, wondering what honor and glory means to a plainsman. Honor....there is no honor among thieves. Glory.... if that goes hand in hand with wealth and riches, maybe I can be persuaded to accompany this troupe, as I can see they surely need me. Plus, Ryx realizes if he's on another plane, any bounty hunters that may be on his trail would have a much harder time finding him.

"Priestess, I will accompany you on this quest." is all he says to the comely cleric, then tilting his head to the side a bit, thinking, Or babysit, however we choose to name it. I still want to find out about this one's past, there is something strange about her.

If Ryx is still drunk, will there be any modifications to skills, attacks, reflex and such??
