He even alliterates. BTW, Ashley had hinted that he would heal Dawn, but I was beginning to wonder. I'm glad he did, even if mostly for the wrong reason.

OK, apparently not. Or if so, she is the only one who knows about Bell. She certainly doesn't seem to mourn the watchers who were killed and injured, either.

BTW, the "she's very sensitive" link should have linked to this page.

I liked the way the perceptive glamour on Winalils worked. At first I had no idea what was going on, and then it all made sense. But patching up Dawn seemed to be genuine altruism on his part.

Do you just disbelieve Timofey? Personally I think it was probably about 70% procrastination, 20% fun, and 10% altruism. It's easy to feel altruistic when there's something else to do that you really don't want to do and Timofey should know Winalils pretty well by now.

Some commenters on the comic thread noted, that Dawn was hawing a gawk at Winallis. I thought it was an interesting point .

Well, we did get in-comic confirmation of the fact that when Winalils does the equivalent of teleporting himself, he can only teleport himself, so his clothing is just a glamour. I wonder if Dawn will provide in-comic confirmation that Black Tongues castrate themselves.

BTW, I wonder if Winalils just isn't all that good at glamouring himself. The glamour on Matty worked fine, but only as long as he was wearing the pymaric necklace that held the spell. Maybe if Winalils could have done that, it would have worked better?

Now, misunderstanding today's comic and the author's commentary, I deduce that Duane is Sette's creator.

Hm. Does Duane often say "aye" when agreeing with someone? Because for some reason I find him responding to Sette's "aye"s with his own oddly charming and I'm unsure why

Duanne assuring Sette that- tail or not -she is human, at least as far he and his spellery are concerned, is really cute.
The reaction to Sette's little story is pretty good too. Minus the part about his undeadness pretty much my reaction.

I agree it was cute. The story, is about as gross as some random story I have. Not much

Sette is clearly human enough for the purposes of the khert, but she doesn't seem convinced herself. I do wonder how Nary-a-care ended up raising her as his daughter (as god-awful a job as he did of it). If Starfish is to be believed (a risky proposition), Nary had expectations of Sette that didn't bear fruit when she failed to grow up.

    New comic.

Interesting stuff. How tacit casting works. Sette's tail is mentioned. Sette being Sette.

Edit: Sette's tail could be both jerboa or lion. Both have a point.

More human than Duane? Wowza, that's not so hard right now.

But Sette just answered her own question. If she thinks Duane is human, then she probably also is.

It's more than just the tail that's different, but of course Sette isn't going to bring up the other stuff if she doesn't have to. I can see why Sette was rattled -- even Starfish found her repulsive.

With all this cuteness between Duanne and Sette I dread what is going to happen with the aftermath of the silver-beasty.

And Sette clearly has a liontail. Just because it will annoy Duanne.
But that discussion about their respective humanity... I guess everything is relative. Not that it matters. They are persons, that is important.

Sette and Duanne are best kid-zombie parents forever Them dying together will only mean they reincarnate close again

Would be even funnier if she was Ssael or related to him. He'd probably do a double take.

Is it my impression, or does Gen. Bell look like an Ulestrian Klaus Kinski?

Gotta wonder if Duane is casting a "make ports visible" spell or a glamour.

Also gotta wonder if Sette has a port in her nose, due to her ability to 'smell' the khert.

    Why..?

He is even hardly naked, most of his body seems to be covered in shadowstuff. You can see a lot more skin, on people a lot less suited for showing it, at the beach.

Im really, really looking forward to this though, especially Duane's reaction upon meeting Winallis.
And for that matter what Winallis might have to say to Duana. Assuming the later wont just try and remove the formers head.
