Kate's apartment

There's some uncontrolled mechanical purring that occurs, but it's on the low end. Probably only noticeable because it's mechanical and therefore unusual.

"Well... err... not really. I mean, not that I've seemed to need one or anything. Don't get very hungry anyways."
But...
It is kind of lonely.

"Like I said, if there are any traps, I am completely in the dark. But fine, let's do this your way." Jack says.

"Pff. What other way is there? Do you genuinely believe I'm stupid enough to think you're not planning to throw us to the ******' wolves at the first opportunity?" Riv snaps, although he and his troops will follow Jack wherever the good doctor decides to lead them.

[Murkus]

Alice seems oblivious to his discomfort. She's never been good at reading people. "You're right, it is late. Perhaps tomorrow, then? How often do you usually make these deals?" She picks up her top hat from the table and holds it in her mechanical hand, looking around the store once again.

"Um... often. Yes. Often," Darn it, she's not taking the hint! Sticks frowns again. Okay, now he's got to change the subject. "Ah, where are you staying? So that I might reach you." The tall man tries to look thoughtful.

[Mindfreak]

[Sidera]
When they wake up, it'll be morning!
Ancha is snuggled close again.

Ariel wakes up to this!
And then she starts poking Ancha again.
"Ancha...hey Ancha, it's time to wake up."

Jack...walks north. He really has no idea where he's going.

But...
It is kind of lonely.

"A home is a place to feel safe and be able to return to... either at the end of the day, or the end of the month. Some people can make it without a real home, but most people prefer to have some kind of place to return to."

"You've been a bit philosophic lately, Kate."

Kate looks at Sophie, a little suprised. "I have?"

The RooMag, a little hovering robot thing, hovers over toward MechaRein. What is that doing?

Kate's apartment

"Yeah, pretty much." Rein says in agreement with the large spider.

Mecha-Rein narrows his eyes at RooMag. Has Kate been cheating on him with another mechanical pet?
"What's that?"

Kate's apartment

"It's a RooMag. It files around and cleans things."

"It occasionally gets into weird places, like the freezer."

The RooMag flies directly above Rein, keeps perfectly still, and vacuums what is presumably dirt off of him. No, there is not a chance of it sucking up Rein. It's not a comically strong vacuum.

Sidera House
Ariel wakes up to this!
And then she starts poking Ancha again.
"Ancha...hey Ancha, it's time to wake up."

Ancha stretches and yawns.
"Mm... oh, hi."
She smiles shyly again.

Kate's apartment

"It's a RooMag. It files around and cleans things."

The RooMag flies directly above Rein, keeps perfectly still, and vacuums what is presumably dirt off of him. No, there is not a chance of it sucking up Rein. It's not a comically strong vacuum.

Unless it's entirely silent, Rein's not going to like it. Chances are he doesn't like it even if it is, what with it hovering above him. But still... cats and vacuums.

Mecha-Rein hisses at it and scurries away from it swiftly before stopping to stare at it.

Dorota's heart pretty much melts at that and she pulls Crissy even closer. Oh Crissy... she whispers, feeling at a loss for words once again.

Crissy doesn't have any words to express herself with, and so she just hugs Dorota as tightly as she can, her head tucked under the alchemist's chin as she listens to her heart.

Kate's apartment

It's startlingly silent, but not completely silent. The RooMag does not immediately follow, but stops sucking. It then goes off to examine the cleanliness of the couch.

"Anyway, it's good to see you. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Defelent's House

That startles Tracy- she's used to being treated as a cross between furniture, pet, and lover, whose opinions aren't needed or respected. She nearly, but fortunately doesn't, drop the plate she was placing onto the draining board. "Oh, really? Um, that would be... Nice. Yes. I'd like that." Tracy genuinely doesn't know what to say.

[Mindfreak]

Ancha stretches and yawns.
"Mm... oh, hi."
She smiles shyly again.

Ariel smiled shyly too.
"Um...I think the droids might have something planned for today..."

Kate's apartment

Mecha-Rein watches the RooMag cautiously before sitting down and licking his paw.

"I... guess? I was just seeing how you were doing and all." And maybe have someone to talk to that doesn't remind him of the life that isn't his.
And maybe... have someplace to stay.

Kate's apartment

"Well, thank you, but you're the one that should be worried about." Pet pet pet. It's worth nothing that Kate knows how to pet a cat properly, along the sides as opposed to down the spine. "Is there any place you found where you might get a home?"

Ariel smiled shyly too.
"Um...I think the droids might have something planned for today..."

[Sidera]
"Oh? What is it?"

Kate's apartment

"Not so much. Just mostly... watching. I mean I just found a home before I got mechanical and that took months." It's true!

[Mindfreak]

[Sidera]
"Oh? What is it?"

Ariel shrugged.
"I don't know...but it feels like they're always planning something..."

It's Alice's turn to be taken aback by his question. "Err...I don't have a place to stay at right now. I'll probably go back to that tavern, I don't really have anywhere else to go." She shuffles her feet, trying not to think about how she would probably need money to do so, and she doesn't have a penny on her. Money is still a somewhat foreign concept to her, which makes certain things much harder. Like staying at a tavern.

"I thought you didn't have any money," Sticks says, pursing his lips in a frown. The thin man feels like he should be generous, but... it's such a foreign thing for someone like him.

Oh well. He likes this girl, and he's already given her an arm. May as well give a leg. "...Do you need some help?"

Alice pauses, biting her lip. She does kind of need help, but she doesn't want to ask Sticks to do anything more, after everything he has already done for her. That would be taking advantage of his friendship. She would manage, somehow.
"No, I'm fine. I have a bit of money, not very much, but enough for an inn. Thanks for asking." If only she wasn't completely useless at lying, he might actually believe her. Regardless, she puts on her hat and starts to head for the door, taking one last fond glance around the place.

Unlike Alice, Sticks is quite good at reading people. The tall man stands quietly and attempts to intercept Alice before she leaves. She might feel a hand on her shoulder, and should Miss Q feel inclined to turn around, she'll find Sticks offering her a pouch of coins.

"Just... think of it as advance pay." He doubts she'll be able to find more somewhere else without asking for help, so why not just simplify things.

Kate's apartment

"Not so much. Just mostly... watching. I mean I just found a home before I got mechanical and that took months." It's true!

"I don't suppose you can go back there, huh?"

Sophie doesn't say anything for now. Is he going to ask, or is he trying to wait for Kate to offer?

Kate's apartment

"No. Not really. I guess I was kind of maybe hoping I could stay with you for a bit? Just til I get back on my feet and such." Reinholdt's sure there's some way to make a mechanical living.

Kate is quiet for a minute. She then looks at Sophie and says, "Well, I can't see why not."

Sophie nods slightly. "What's you're name, cat?"

Crissy doesn't have any words to express herself with, and so she just hugs Dorota as tightly as she can, her head tucked under the alchemist's chin as she listens to her heart.

Dorota holds Crissy close, stroking her hair. I used not to believe in true love... I've never been so glad to be proven wrong, she says eventually.

[Beans]

Ariel shrugged.
"I don't know...but it feels like they're always planning something..."

"Well... eh. They're probably programmed by my family, so meddling is kinda to be expected."

[Mindfreak]

Sidera House
Ariel sighed.
"First they make us get married and next they decide to meddle..."
She slides out of bed.

[Reinholdt]

Kate's apartment

Kate is quiet for a minute. She then looks at Sophie and says, "Well, I can't see why not."

Sophie nods slightly. "What's you're name, cat?"

Kate's apartment

Great. The human takes orders from the large spider. This is going to go swell.

"I'm Reinholdt. Nice to meet you."
