"Yeah, that sounds about right," Cass says, taking a bite from one of the apples she took. "I'll need to know more about this place before I can find work, though." She doubted she'd be able to find a fixer, let alone a Johnson who could get her a job.

"I suppose a shopping trip is possibly in order too," remarks Kaalia. "No offense or anything, but I trust you'd want a better wardrobe than that one drab outfit." Suddenly her eyes light up, an idea striking. "I think a more complete tour of Inside is just what we need! That's where I met you last night: more a world unto itself than just a city." Her longcoat, already fit with various vials and wands, flies in from a sudden hole in the wall, falling on her shoulders perfectly.

After a while, she tires from her practicing. "What now?"

"Shopping? Er, okay." Normally when Cass goes shopping, it's with black market weapon dealers (It's where she got her HK, after all,) but she suppose she could use more tanktops and jeans. She's not very creative with clothes. "Inside? Who the hell names a city Inside?" She rolls her eyes, as she is wont to do. What a silly name.

Hopefully not too long... Dorota sighs contentedly. Good to have it cleared up. So... how about we go for a swim now? Or... well, I guess "a swim" is too big of a word. I can't do much more than splash around, she adds with a smile.

Crissy nods. Then giggles. "Well, maybe I should teach you how to swim sometime?" she suggests as she sits up and stretches.

Defelent's House

"I think he's upstairs, if you want to ask now. Or we have a knife sharpener in the attic, but I think that's going to be a bit small." The knife sharpener was designed for kitchen knives, though it's been re-purposed for the attic.

"Likely on the small side, yes, so I believe I'll ask him."
And Naethalee stands, stretches, then goes to head upstairs!

Maybe... sounds like fun. Dorota stands up and stretches as well. For now, let's go splash around a little.

Defelent is currently in his bedroom. He's wearing a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt and resting in his lap is a mace. The hefty metal club's head is shaped like a closed scorpion's claw and emanates an aura of palpable evilness. So palpable that it seems unusual that it doesn't glow black; instead it doesn't glow. Defelent is polishing it.

"Here in Nexus, there are pretty much two options," explains Kaalia, the table being cleared as she heads toward the main door. "Inside, which is THE city, not simple A city, and Outside, which is everywhere else." She pauses just outside the purple door. "At least, that's how it seems. Nexus is a very strange place and things tend to change on a whim. I'd bring that weapon of yours by the way." Kaalia awaits Cass at the door, ready to depart when she is.

Cass nods. "I'll be a few seconds, then. Gonna grab my HK and my coat." And she goes off to do just that. She'll be a minute or two, but before long she's back at the door, putting her coat on over ther SMG slung on her back. "We heading out?"

"You know what someone should build?" Jack says. "An anti-healing magic field. A big one. And then while all the clerics and crap have to actually do their duties as clerics and pray instead of healing people, we doctors set up shop right in the middle of this field. That way, everyone with a sniffle or massive internal bleeding has to come to a real doctor."

"Or... Or how 'bout a virus? A nasty one. One they can't fix with magic an'll stop 'em from fixin' anything else. Yeah. That could actually work... Could actually be fun." Riv halts, an evil little smirk akin to that of a certain holiday-stealing character spreading across his face as he thinks about it. "Heh. I got all sorts a' crazy cool virus-making stuff back at the base. Wanna ditch this popsicle stand and go see what we can cook up?"

Jack seems interested up to the whole "stop 'em from fixin' anything else" part. "Hold on. I'm a doctor, not a killer. I want no part in helping you make a virus that kills people."

"Like being one stops ya' from being the other?" Riv asks, raising an eyebrow in disbelief. This guy can't be that naive, can he? "Ah, don't worry 'bout it. It won't kill 'em, just make them go to a real doctor if they need stitching up. Put the "natural order of things" back on track, if you want to be philisoph- Er, if you want to be metaphorical 'bout it." He sticks on the word 'philosophical', grimacing as he tries to spit it out before eventually going with 'metaphorical'.

Kaalia is straightening her hat as Cass approaches, grinning as she presses a wand to the door. The door hums softly and glows for a second as the sound of a busy street begin coming through. "Yep, we're ready to go." Kaalia opens the door, revealing a bustling marketplace.

(To Inside we go! )

Dorota breaks into a run as well, with a laugh, but since Crissy had a head start on her, she'll probably get to the water first.

Naethalee is successful in creeping up on Defelent and on tickling him. The surprise causes him to flail and let go of the mace. It seems to be guided towards Naethalee, though it's poorly aimed. Well, not aimed at all, merely guided by a bound demon that can only give it slight nudges to change its direction.

If the mace does hit, it will hurt. The bound demon sadistically uses its limited power to increase the amount of pain caused by the wound.

Dorota breaks into a run as well, with a laugh, but since Crissy had a head start on her, she'll probably get to the water first.

Except Crissy slips in the mud at the edge of the water and goes down on her backside with an eep!

Quickly scrambling up, but likely she'll be last after all.

"Oh, dear. I'm so sorry; you startled me. Bloodcrusher, apologise immediately." He states the last sentence is directed at the mace, which emits an evil-sounding hiss. "I'm really sorry about this; you startled me, and Bloodcrusher temporarily broke my control. Are you OK?" He'll rest the mace on the bed and go sit down next to her, preparing a healing spell.

And Dorota runs into the water with a splash. Brrr. It's cold! She wades deeper, so the water now reaches above her waist. But it feels so fresh... totally different from the pool back at the fitness center we once went to... remember it?

"Yeah, I do. We should totally go back sometime," Crissy says with a giggle as she wades in. "But yeah, this is, like, a thousand times better!"

We should definetly do this sort of thing more often, yeah...

And since this player is running out of ideas for futher conversation, let's just say they splash around, talk and possibly make out some more before heading back to Mallside.
