Current Events

A wedding, held in Karyana's Forest. Please mark in the OOC thread if you have a character or characters attending, and what their role there is.

The Nest

The Nest is a converted hotel in the Red Zone. It currently houses Rael Kairos, a 300 year old vampire, a large number of strange lifeforms he's created, and a couple of dozen other vampires that he's made, including Karyana. All of those are mine. Beans controls Zwei, formerly a stitchy undead deathknight, but now resurrected. Technoscrabble is pretty much in control of the Tire Geal here, although technically they're my characters. Mindfreak has Jimmy, a crazy guy that Rael has turned into a vampire. Rotting Baron has Ashley, a half-elf illusionist.

The Nest also contains one of two permanent access points to K's Forest, the other being in Karyana's room in HALO.

The Roof:

This is exactly what the name says. Mainly notable because Ashley has taken up residence there.

It also contains the only known permanent access to Ashley's Dimension.

(Further description, if any is desired, is up to Rotting Baron, as I don't know how Ashley may have changed the roof since she started living there)

K's Forest

K's Forest is a formerly blank dimension that imprinted on Karyana. She then imprinted it on Zwei and Ashley.

Locations of note within will be added later, but include the Moor, the Crystal Grove, and the City.

Ashley's Dimension

Ashley recently received a blank dimension of her own. She set most of it to generate to only a few general guidelines, but the island she stays on is entirely of her design. The ocean is unnaturally blue, and the nights always have sufficient moonlight.

The wedding can start whenever its beginning is desired. I believe that Carrie would be the one to begin it officially?

[Abandoned Warehouse, Outskirts of Aldgrove, Outside]

From the center of a web of glowing lines, a tongue of flame flares, catching the single drop of water that ran from the maze of tubing above it, while wind sings through the four networks of crystal pipes, each forming a very specific rune, and with an outlet facing precisely east, west, south, or north, that line the walls.

L'lanyaea Terniel, the creator of this rather elaborate set-up, watches the process with interest, curious as to what exactly she summoned.

A gout of sulfurous smoke and steam spews from the summoning circle; a murky shape stirs in the haze, chittering and clacking.

Karyana, noticing Carrie's preparations, offers an apologetic smile to the pair she's conversing with, already turning to go.

"Sorry, but it looks like the wedding proper is starting, and it's rather important that I not miss it...", she explains, hurrying off to find Zwei and/or Ashley.

[Warehouse]

L'lanyaea coughs, choking slightly on the fumes, and sighs quietly. Just once, couldn't something she summoned not appear in a cloud of something nasty?

In any case, once she's recovered from the mild coughing fit, she picks up the long metal staff, pointed on one end, and with a pair of thin blades, much like ax heads, on the other, next to her, and addresses the shape in the murk.

"Do you need that stuff you're standing in? If not, I'd rather like to get rid of it..."

Karyana smiles at her fiancees, and goes to put an arm around Ashley, noting her apparent nervousness.

"Hey. How are you holding up?"

"You're welcome. It's not like there's a shortage of room, and you're more comfortable this way, so..."

But it's a certainly a pleasant surprise, considering you seem nice enough so far, and that your being humanoid makes it much easier to provide reasonable accommodations," the mage says, smiling, and extending a hand to the Execuloth, apparently for purposes of shaking. "I'm L'lanyaea. You?"

The MHP may notice that an emerald green raven, with human arms for legs, is watching them rather rather closely. Especially when it lands, cocks its head quizzically, and speaks in Karyana's voice, using the human mouth in its chest.

"Who are you? And more importantly, why are you here?"

The bird clacks its beak in annoyance, though it doesn't appear to be at the figure, and heads over to Tobias, unless something would prevent itfrom doing so.

"Who is the person you apparently brought, and why, precisely, did you bring them? Not that I'm objecting, precisely, but I'd like to know who everyone at my wedding is..."

Ashley takes a moment to compose herself, and smiles at Karyana and Zwei. "I'll be okay."

"Good. But let us know if you need anything, alright?", the vampire says, smiling back at Ashley. "And speaking of needing people and things, have you seen Tsiln around?"

"I don't get much free time. Last time I took a day off, my unit was in a desert. No water to swim in," Lamill watches his now-soaked clothes ripple intently. It always amazes him for some reason.

"If you have to attend school to learn to make and install cybernetics, why are you traveling that much?"

Tobias looks at the bird in surprise. What, my assistant? Don't worry, she'll stay out of the way and won't disrupt anything. She's telepathically linked to all of my military bases and some of my intelligence operatives back in my home universe and needs to be able to immediately notify me of developing emergencies. I'm sure you understand. A slight smile plays along his lips. She's busy focusing on dozens of ongoing communications, so don't talk to her. The slightest break in concentration could cause her poor little mind to... He snaps his fingers.

"My military service pays for most of my school funds. During months I'm not in school, I serve in one of the peace units. We do work to make other nation-states like us more. Building homes, feeding people, so on and so forth. I gave a little girl a synthetic heart last month. Regardless of whether you're military or not, being a true Tire Geal requires much from you."

Karyana, personally, feels that any system that involves that much risk to the telepath needs significant improvement, but keeps her thoughts to herself.

"I'm familiar with such things, yes. I'll make sure none of the guests disturb her."

And with that, the bird vanishes, reappearing a moment later several hundred feet over the wedding.

I have my own supplies located in a relatively small pocket dimension. I am also capable of cleaning my clothes.

"I'd figured you could clean your stuff. It's just a pain to have to when you've got nothing to wear while you are... Were you planning to be summoned? It's good that you have what you need, but most people I know don't bother storing their clothes like that unless they plan to go somewhere. Easier to just stick it in their house."
