Talnissa smiles, considering the proper method of studying a butterfly that big.

She watches it, amazed.

Karyana and the gals arrive!

[Lady Serpentine]

Which likely continue for quite a while!

Though, Mela might eventually notice a noise from the back of the building, near the door.

After a bit, Talnissa sits down, and her body slowly starts becoming rigid.

[City]

Karyana smiles, looking around to see what part of the city they're in.

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
I heard something!

She watches, confused.

They're... in some central thingy? I'm not sure about what the city is like anyway.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Gaunts]

Aira frowns.

"We should probably go check it out, then... Though, come to think of it, getting Kiari and Theia first just in case might be good."

[Garden]

After a bit, Talnissa's joints fully lock, and her eyes and mouth shut tightly.

A little after they do, the butterfly flaps its wings a few times, and takes off.

[City]

Probably the main market, then.

What exactly are you unsure about?

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
You get them. I'll check out the thing.

She watches, interested.

I forgot what the city is like
Aseti looks around, excited.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Gaunts]

Aira nods, and heads off to wake them; Kilari, once awoken, heads off towards the area that she and Mela were keeping watch in, and find something to show where the Flyer went.

When she arrives in Theia's room, she goes to gently shake her awake.

Mela, meanwhile, assuming that she headed off to see what's going on, will find that there's a small group of people outside, who don't appear to have seen her yet.

((Would anyone have noticed that Mela and Kilari left?))

[Garden]

It begins performing various acrobatics!

[City]

The city is built in an odd, flowing, style, mostly from sapphire and ruby, with jade coverings over the streets, and most of the courtyards, so that they're essentially tunnels and caves.

Karyana grins, petting the coyote girl.

Around them are probably a great number of market stalls, all tended by various types of fae.

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
Not many people, probably, and they left a note saying they left to be happy.

Mela stares the people down!

Theia sits up, alarmed.

She watches, amazed!

Aseti and Tsiln inevitably get excited and run around looking at things.

[Gaunts]

In that case, it's probably simply some of the people who have apparently been coming here, since that seems like something that would make sense to the people they know, given what's been revealed of their backstory; whether they've noticed Mela yet depends on how obvious she's being.

Aira seems somewhat worried as well.

"Mela heard something and went to go check it out... I figured I should come get you two, just in case."

Kilari, apparently not having found anything, goes to check on the Oracle, just in case.

[Garden]

Eventually, it lands, and Talnissa's body slowly begins returning to normal.

[City]

Karyana follows them to make sure they don't get into any trouble, grinning.

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
Mela is quiet and listens to them a while.

Theia will follow Aira!

The oracle is thankfully fine.

Carrie giggles, watching them.

[Gaunts]

They seem to be discussing whether or not to go in, apparently having seen the stuff Kilari set up outside.

And off to join Mela they go!

Kilari settles into place on the ceiling, keeping an eye on her.

[Garden]

Talnissa stands, stretching.

"What is?"

[City]

Karyana seems fairly amused as well.

Meanwhile, a young-looking elf, with a tray of figurines carved from obsidian, comes over to Carrie and the rest.

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
Mela gives a low warning hiss.
Theia follows, blades out. She does not like intruders.

She blinks. "How you just took control of the butterfly."

Carrie will buy some!

((Playing my friend's 3ds Scribblenauts, I made a friendly Kraken with iron wings and rode it, wielding a shotgun and chasing a dictator. :D ))

They seem quite startled by that, looking around warily, and training their flashlights on the area that the hiss came from.

They should arrive just after Mela hisses.


[Garden]

"That's right... I never did explain exactly what I am to you, did I?"

[City]

They're relatively inexpensive, especially for the quality; Carrie will have a choice between buying sculptures of various mythological and real creatures, people from varying universes, or a few of both.

((That sounds both insane and awesome.))

[Beans]

((Part of me wants to make an iron-winged krakenlady now. :P ))
[Gaunts]
Mela hisses again, spreading her wings, but is soon drowned out by Theia's warning shriek.

"Ghost in a metal body, I think you said?"

Carrie gets a few of each, especially since they're relatively inexpensive.

[Lady Serpentine]

((I think you should. An iron-winged krakenlady sounds like a fun character.))

[Gaunts]

Aira keens a warning as well; the appearance of a winged creature, something with claws and too-long fingers, and another thing with blades on its arms, combined with the various warning noises, is quite enough to get the group to flee, a few of them dropping their flashlights in their flight.

[Garden]

She shrugs.

"Or maybe I did, then. Basically, I'm normally possessing a cloud of steam, so I can switch between bodies of this type, or even go without one if I need to, but I can choose to possess other things, too; that's what I did with the butterfly."

[City]

The elf seems quite pleased with that, and thanks her before heading back off into the crowd of fae looking through the various stalls.

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
She waits for them to finish running... and then pounces!
On the flashlights.

Carrie waves goodbye, coming back to the group.

Aira nods, grinning slightly, and heading over to Mela to inspect the lights, which there are six of.

"Definitely! These should be quite useful."

"How so?"

Karyana waves at her goddess when she comes over, grinning.

Aira goes to take a few of the flashlights from Mela, as six of them would be fairly awkward for one person to carry, and then head back inside.

"Certainly, if I had another at hand. Or I could even vacate it entirely and simply float around as a cloud of steam until I could get one. I'm pretty hard to actually kill."

[City]

Karyana seems to quite like her figure, and goes to hug her friend.

"Thanks, Carrie!"

[Beans]

She goes to show their new stuff to the Oracle!

Kilari drops down from the ceiling when they enter, seeming relieved.

Talnissa nods, smiling a bit.

"Usually, yes. Though there are times that having a fleshy body would be nice."

[City]

Karyana smiles, nestling into the embrace.

"Did you get one for Paisley?"

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
Mela grins, excited.

Carrie nods.
Yeah! They were pretty inexpensive, so I got a bunch!

Aira is also grinning, as, when she sees the flashlights, is Kilari; the Griever goes to gently wake the Oracle.

[Garden]

The robot shrugs.

"Partly. Though I've managed to get pretty good alloys and such, as well as mostly perfecting my sensory spells, so not so much. Mostly it's when I'm out, really. People like you and Kara are pretty rare, overall; it tends to put people off that I'm in a metal body."

[City]

"Good! I'm sure she'll appreciate it. And speaking of Paisley, since she rather likes it here, should I pop back to the Tree for a bit and get her?"

[Beans]

[Gaunts]
The Oracle yawns and smiles.
"Hi guys!"

Well, do you think a synthetic body like mine might be somewhat more convenient? If so, I'm sure we could grow one with correct samples of each of my tissues.

She nods, though Aseti and Tsiln decide they'd like to go back to the Forest when Karyana does so.
Paisley is happy to be there when she arrives!

Aira smiles at her.

"Hey, Oracle. We had some visitors... Fortunately, they were kind enough to give us the use of their flashlights."

[Garden]

Talnissa smiles, and nods, going to hug her friend.

"That would be nice, I think... Thank you, Pass."

[City]

Tsiln and Aseti likely both receive a lingering kiss goodbye, then.

Paisley, when they arrive back at the city, gets waved at by a few people who remember her from the last time they were here.

[Beans]

"Oooh, that's nice of them!"
Mela giggles as the Oracle fools around with a flashlight.

I will take a sample of each of my tissues before the end of the week; growing a body will take a while, but I will be able to put together the correct equipment to keep the growth within parameters you call for.

Tsiln and Aseti giggle, kiss back, and retire for the night.

Aira does much the same, sitting down next to the Oracle and watching her mess with the flashlight, seeming somewhat amused.

[Garden]

"I can wait a bit if I need to," Talnissa agrees, smiling. "Though probably, before you start taking samples, I should talk this over with Kara..."

[City]

Most of them are busy doing things here, but a pair of Jackalfae start to head over to greet her, if she seems like she'd be interested in talking to them.

[Beans]

Mela giggles, watching.

They grin, waving back.
