Jamie, meanwhile, takes a seat, and looks at Vidalia.
"Are you a druid, Miss Vidalia?"

Marty struggles for a minute and looks in horror at what Quinn is doing before he passes out gently on the cot. He's handsome when he sleeps. The boot is hastily jammed on his "foot" most of the bandages were somewhat thrown about wildly when Marty tried to escape.

[Andy's Cabin 2]

Well, if you say so. Caroline looks to Andy. Anything else?

{Beach}

You're doing really good. Melody says, as she drifts along next to him.

Jamie, meanwhile, takes a seat, and looks at Vidalia.
"Are you a druid, Miss Vidalia?"

No. I'm trying to learn to be a better gardener.

{Beach}

Melody smiles. Oh? I was thinking I had a very smart student. She swims over to him and reaches for one of his hands. I think you can go a little deeper.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt takes her hand, carefully, still uncertain about the whole swimming thing, but willing to take a risk anyways.

"Well then, I'm always up for a little exploring."

Melody pulls Reinholdt out just far enough that she's sure he can't touch the ground and still have his head above water. Do you trust me, Reinholdt?

Quinn sighs, and once more - telekinetically - sets about carefully removing the bandages while maneuvering clean compresses and bandages and antibiotics and such...

Basically: medical stuff happens. Examinations and wound-cleansing. Stuff like that.





"I enjoy gardening too...wait."
Jamie's eyes widen.
"Are you Miss Vidalia the Onion Lady?"
Quinn has presumably mentioned her.

Reinholdt asks in that concerned way. People generally don't ask that unless they were about to do something requiring trust in the first place!

Well, the wound is very bad and should have been treated years ago. The wound will probably never heal. It will just continue causing Marty great pain and trouble with walking. It's definitely better to amputate. However I doubt Marty would ever let anyone do it. At least not of his own free will. Out of fear caused by his insanity and his ever-constant fear of blood. And pain.

Vidalia raises an eyebrow at that. "Onion Lady"? I've been known as The Onion. But never "Onion Lady". You may call me Vidalia. Vidalia goes back to reading her magazine. What do you like most about gardening?

Melody slowly releases Reinholdt's hand. Just keep treading water. You'll be okay. she says as she treads water herself, just out of reach.

Eep! Reinholdt looks concerned for a moment, but does as he's instructed and treads water where he is. When he figures out he isn't going to sink and drown, he can't help but grin at Melody.

Sophie rocks Scylla gently in her arms, glancing after Keo as she leaves. They do look unusual, but they behave like all kids everywhere. And I can tell that Julie is very happy with them.

Eric grins, "I can tell you, I'm not exactly upset about having them myself." he looks at Scylla and just has this wonderful look of contentment on his face, "There's nothing quite like being a parent."

Pansy smiles in complete understanding. "No, nothing else comes close."

Eep! Reinholdt looks concerned for a moment, but does as he's instructed and treads water where he is. When he figures out he isn't going to sink and drown, he can't help but grin at Melody.

Good. Melody smiles back. Now follow me back to the shallow water. She then plunges into the water, swims past him underwater, and reappears closer to shore, making sure he's alright.

Eep! Reinholdt's barely gotten the hang of surface water swimming!

But he's making it back to shallow water. Not nearly as fast as Melody, clearly, but able.

[Andy's Room]

Lucy tries her best to learn what she can of the alien technology present in the Nexus. Although much of it seems confusing to her, the undead nurse happily puts her best effort into learning and translating.

With the exception of small breaks to keep down the headache of using incorporal voices to translate a very different language, the nurse does not seem to need sleep, however.

"Pardon my inquiry, but a laptop was a computing device made to be small enough to carry, was it not?"

Oh dear, it seems that Bill has fallen asleep in his chair.
He hasn't slept since they started the job and now that it was done...it was party time.

Andy's Room

"Yes that's right. A laptop was named laptop, because there main ability is beeing a PC you could place on TOP of your LAP."

Special sound, to point out things. Andy still goes on working up things they got. He is very sleepy as well.Only the mechanic part keeps him awake.

Vincent, growing up usually means losing you innocence. Do you remember when Dr. WhatsHisName made you think Mister Dipsnig was you dad, and that I wasn't a half-ghost? I think that's what Mister Andy is referring to. Except this time it'll be a natural thing, not an evil sciency thing.

Andy looks at them wondering he never heard of such a situation, well Ok since it isn't anything that happened in GloG he wouldn't even be able to know.

"That may be one of the things. But I heard that this doctor also wanted to change your view of the world. Such an action could cause that as well, even if the chances are low."

He really speaks from experience since his coma could be seen as a simulare act and before that he was hunting after his fathers word and then he tried to go away from him as far as possible.

Melody decides to take a chance. Before she can think too much on it, she takes Reinholdt's head in her hands, and kisses him. Lips only.

I think shock is the general term for the moment, Rein overcome with sudden uncertainty.

Then the hormones kick in and the realization that this is pretty much all he could have ever hoped for and Reinholdt overcomes that initial shock quickly enough to return the kiss passionately.

Main Cabin

The smell of cooking has attracted the attention of one person who doesn't usually appear at mealtimes. She has dark green skin, blue eyes, light green hair, rather large ears and a pair of feathered gills in her neck. She's rather short, about half the height of the average human, and looks to be in her mid teens, and she's wearing a simple dress made of water weed; her feet are bare, with splayed toes connected by a web of skin. "Hello, is there anything I can do to help? I brought fish." Myrim the Marsh Goblin holds up a pike as long as she is tall with fingers as webbed as her toes. "I could go get more, if people want."

And this is when Melody suddenly tries to shove Reinholdt away, and if successful, will quickly take to the skies to fly away home.

"Do you know Pearl?" Jamie asks, curious. Before smiling. "I like feeling the earth. Knowing that the little seeds I'm planting are going to grow up healthy, and that not only will they provide food for us but also they'll produce more seeds so that the next spring the cycle can start over again."

[Reinholdt]

"Melody wait! I..." Reinholdt says as she starts taking off. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have I just... I..."

I'm not sure how much she'll hear though if she leaves as quickly as it seems. Reinholdt won't stop her.

[Lex-Kat]

Oh yeah. You're that Jamie. How's my little onion? And you named her Pearl?

"Melody wait! I..." Reinholdt says as she starts taking off. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have I just... I..."

I'm not sure how much she'll hear though if she leaves as quickly as it seems. Reinholdt won't stop her.

Melody flies up and away, and then looks back. Confused, she stops just hovering there. Why isn't he following? Was Tobias wrong? she asks herself. Feeling stupid, she flies away.

Jamie smiles, blushes, and nods!
"Yeah. That's me. And I did! I, um, hope that's ok. She's cool!"

The Magical Girl looks just a little nervous.

That's fine. It helps them to develop a personality. Most onions, when they first gain sentience, have a blank slate. They are innocent, with no preconception of what the world is like.

Vidalia smiles. And she likes you too.

As for the growing of plants, I'm just doing what I can to keep the people here from A) Starving, and B) Needing to eat my babies.

Jamie smiles as well. "She's neat. And I make sure that there's no onions in the garden! Well, aside from yours, but none in the to-eat garden," she adds.

[Reinholdt]

{Lake}

Reinholdt sees Melody stop and starts to fly after her, but then she turns and flies away again, so he stops. Was she angry at him or maybe testing him or... Rein doesn't know.

He does sink back to the ground though.
