Look, you are searching for something that is very specific. A handsome half-orc that isn't drawn all beefcakey is a tall enough order as it is. I think Blade is correct in his suggestion... you would probably be better off by tracking that down by itself and then manipulating it to meet the criteria that you're looking for (or not manipulating it at all, since that is apparently not the issue).

I didn't post here to be criticized for being "finicky". And I don't know where exactly I was rude.
I posted a request. It's pretty specific, so I know that I probably won't find what I need. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't try. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Maybe you're willing to settle for a subpar representation of your character, but I'm not. I'd rather have no art than art that I'm not happy with.

Come on, this is nigh-impossible. I just play basic humans, and I learned long ago to just get someone with the right body type, since it'd take way too long to find a match of the character. For an orcish tiefling, you could just find an orc and say "except with red eyes/goat horns/whatever".

Well, I'm not you, so yeah.

If my artistic skills wouldn't be worse than my art searching skills, it would only be a matter of finding a picture that I could photoshop to my liking. But alas, I'm very certain that it would be hopeless, even though all I'd need would be changing the skin color and maybe adding small tusks and changing the ears a bit. I'm just a talentless hack.

EDIT: After some searching on a site where I didn't expect to find anything SFW, and thus usable, I miraculously found this two:

Both are very nice, but not perfect. The first one kinda doesn't look young enough for my purposes (but I might be wrong, and it's still a good pic for when the character gets elder) and he wears a wrong kind of a mask (but that's not that big of a problem, I was going to refluff the Witch Doctor a little either way). The second has snake hair, which I could just explain as a weird orcish hat, I guess, I don't know.

Unfortunately, none are good for me. Either too ugly, too muscly or too fiendish.
That's the problem with good concepts, it's hard to find avatars for them.

You do realize that you basically just claimed that any concept where it isn't hard to find good art is trash, right? And that this might very well annoy anyone who easily found a good portrait for a character, or who played a character for whom a portrait would be easy who was nonetheless good? It's pretty easy to find a picture of someone with a sword, does that mean all characters meeting that description are from a bad concept? No.

But I'm also not entirely grasping why people would choose to interpret those words in such a negative way. Why immediately go to the worst possible conclusion? Do you always assume malicious intent in peoples posts? I mean, where's the human decency to give someone you don't know anything about at least some benefit of the doubt? Shesh.
No, I don't realize it, because I did no such a thing. Saying that chocolate ice cream is good doesn't mean every other flavor is trash. I don't know where you got that ridiculous idea from. And just so we are perfectly clear, I meant art concept. Because, you know, we're in an art thread and I was talking about a character's appearance.

Your not the first finicky requester and i doubt you'll be the last so at least try to be happy that someone has tried to find something for you.

I don't settle for subpar art as Im flexible enough to find similar art and accept that the "perfect" image may not be found anytime soon. That said often it is finding a image that makes a character for me rather than making one and then trying to fit a image around it.
