Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes, and her actions upon her return will be even more instrumental to the destruction of Girard's Gate than they have been up to this point.
At this point, I'm just going to state flat out that it's "anyone but " for me. Can't get over his politics.

Gonna have to say yes.
Redcloak is my favorite villain in the comic. Nothing against Hinjo though."Everybody's got a price." - 'The Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes, though I don't have any real reasons, just what my gut says. But I think V will still be on the Order's side.
And Redcloak, because even though I love Hinjo (and his junk), I think Redcloak is a better character. (Depth-wise, not morality-wise. Duh.)

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
I have now added rules for the process of choosing your favourite NPC, and posting their name and/or smiley in this thread. The rules are in the OP, and basically consist of choosing your favourite NPC, and posting their name and/or smiley in this thread. I'm glad to be a guiding beacon of light for all of you.
(Also, how could you vote off Mr. Scruffy? Belkar is coming for all of you.)

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
No. V may play an important part in the battle of the Gate, but I don't think she will rejoin the Order before that.
I like Hinjo very much, but I have to give it to , this guy is pure badass.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes.
After that scene with Tsukiko, he radiates some of the most concentrated, ruthless, relentless menace and force of personality in the comic from my perspective at least. "Dude is frickin' scary."Spoiler
So the song runs on, with shift and change,
Through the years that have no name,
And the late notes soar to a higher range,
But the theme is still the same.
Man's battle-cry and the guns' reply
Blend in with the old, old rhyme
That was traced in the score of the strata marks
While millenniums winked like campfire sparks
Down the winds of unguessed time. -- 4th Stanza, The Bad Lands, Badger Clark

Yes.
Few other characters in the story elicit such a range of emotions. Particularly moving was his epiphany at the battle for Azure City and subsequent founding of Gobbotopia.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes. But in what capasity? That will be interesting.
Redcloak, the guy you love to hate.
Sorry Hinjo, but Team Evil is a more compelling story. Maybe that can change in the future if you get more screen time, but it has not happend yet.78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin. The players were attacked individually on the road on the way to town by werewolves. To survive, they had to team up then and there without knowing anything about eachother (literally -- all character sheets were completed without other players' knowledge).

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
I hope it's Tarquin vs. O-Chul this round so we can get the 1 of the 2 most overrated characters out now, rather than have the last round inevitably be between them...

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
#853 - The Dangers of Progress
Will Vaarsuvius rejoin the party before the battle for Girard's Gate is decided?
Yes: 22 - 88.00%
No: 3 - 12.00%
Round 2, Match 1
: 19 - 82.61%
: 4 - 17.39%
#854 - Not Much Chance of That
If it comes to it, which side will Tarquin ultimately choose? Malack or Nale?
Round 2, Match 2
"I tell you, Ugly, nothing's funnier than false hope. You really thought you had a chance there for a second. I mean, sure, I could've just blasted you all from above with fire and lightning and such, but I've always felt that when it's important, it's worth it to go that extra mile."
VS
"My men had to get out to the mountains, recapture them, nail them into position, and then get the oil out there in time to light the rebellious little pricks on fire in unison. It's pretty impressive logistics-wise, when you think about it."Last edited by oppyu; 2012-05-27 at 12:32 AM.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
I honestly have to pass on the question, because I think it's going to depend on what Nale does more than anything else.
As for the NPC Tournament: I saw this one coming, and am going to say Xykon.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Definitely Malack' side, if Nale won't get a pair of things out. But it has been shown that Nale has no wisdom score high enough to be expected doing this.
It's a pain to decide between the lovely lich and the god of risiko. But, even within my deep lawful being, I love Xykon the most. Was vernünftig ist, das ist wirklich; und was wirklich ist, das ist vernünftig. (G.W.F.H.)

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Oh, he'd definitely side with Malack, I think. For one, he can trust Malack with the gate, and for two, he can trust Nale to screw up any dramatic betrayal over the gate if given the chance.
Ugh, something deep within me says Tarquin. There's something about him and I see him edging in on Xykon's turf as lead bad guy of the comic.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Malack, definitely. Tarquin himself says he has only one remaining son. He doesn't give a damn about Nale anymore, not until he manages to do something really impressive, which I doubt will happen.
And Tarquin, for that matter. Xykon has gone stale. Despite Tarquin is a minor villain in comparison, he has got some depth. Xykon is just a cool-speaking monster without any kind of deeper motivation other than carrying the card of scenery-chewing villain.
