Yes, they will, as soon as they recoup their losses from this surprise ambush by the Order.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Considering that "no" would effectively mean their removal from the story arc, I'd be very surprised if the answer was anything but yes.

Yes. If not for anything else, they will want Malack back. Although he might have the Word of Recall prepared.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes, they will, assuming Tarquin stays under their banner. They didn't run away, they made a tactical retreat.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes. This feels like a tactical retreat, which means they will try again when they have regrouped enough to make it a more even showing (though with a new tactic/better odds for them).

78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin. The players were attacked individually on the road on the way to town by werewolves. To survive, they had to team up then and there without knowing anything about eachother (literally -- all character sheets were completed without other players' knowledge).

The players slew the animals and formed Big Top INC.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Tarquin is planning to do it, but he will give up and leave the area as soon as he sees Xykon. So no.
I'm tired of Linear Guild, just bring me Team Evil.Last edited by Ninja Dragon; 2012-09-02 at 09:08 PM.

No. Stuff got serious, Daddy will take the lead.
Yes. Roy would hardly plan anything which would rely on somebody showcasing his skills.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
No, as he now knows what to expect from the Order.
Yes, but with far less damage inflicted on the Guild (possibly ending in Elan being forced to use his illusions to help the Order escape).

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
Yes Tarquin's all about following protocol, they've suffered a defeat but it's not serious enough to make him take command. And if he does take over he risks losing half the party (Z works for Nale, Sabine would follow him to the ends of the earth).
Maybe, leaning towards no From Roy's comment in the last panel he didn't expect to win outright, without the smokescreen he might have been less willing to commit.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
No, and I don't see Nale protesting much considering the situation.
Yes, because, imho,
Spoiler1) The plan would have worked had the arrow struck any LG member.
2) The plan would have worked had it landed anywhere in the wall or ceiling nearby, since it would have sufficient force on impact to break open the smokestick and have the same effect. Only a critical miss past everyone and down into the empty corridor would have prevented it.
3) Haley almost never misses. If she can make the shot through the heads of the mummies, she can put it anywhere she wants.
4) The smokestick has a limited radius (although with real physics it would fill the narrow corridor) but the LG was on top of Durkon and a few paces from Belkar, so the Order had some margin for error
That said, I believe the title clearly indicated that they intended him to catch it because he was at the centre of the rear group. Roy wanted to keep the mummies in the clear to make it easier for him to strike them down.Last edited by Smolder; 2012-09-12 at 11:26 AM.

Re: OOTS Polls (feat. Favourite NPC Tournament)
I think Tarquin will take the lead until they regroup with Malack, then allow Nale to take the reins again. So, for the time being, no, I guess?
Yes, the ambush would have worked. I'd be very disappointed in Roy if he planned the ambush to depend on this mystery fighter using that specific move. Roy's too smart for that. Or so I hope.
