Re: [d&d 3.5] Anyone want to crash a party? (IC)
"Well you are encased in solid stone with an anti-magic field thus no magic for you. I also have the dagger up against your throat. Also should your earth elemental come at me it will be sent back to the plane of earth because of the anti-magic field and if any of your threats come at me they would be sent back to where they came from. So tell me how do you plan on escaping." I say pressing the tip of the blade on her throat. "You must forgive my associates and I we're accustomed to helping generals and war lords so we're a bit antsy when it comes to battle."

Hey, you tried to pawn this off on me! Don't you try to weasel out this! You better take responsibility for getting me in this fight Magic Guy, oh and what about him? Knack says this last part while pointing at the frenzying brute that everyone forgot about at the moment. (which he's probably getting ready to kill someone at the moment)

Re: [d&d 3.5] Anyone want to crash a party? (IC)
Eh no we saw her with true seeing she would've shown up as an earth elemental and the second I whipped up the anti-magic field she should've popped away. So please explain how on earth she pulled the wool over are eyes and delayed my anti-magic. Also if she just shapechanges into an earth elemental than she wouldn't be able to because no magic for her and even if she could she wouldn't be sent to the plane of earth because she wasn't summoned.

Re: [d&d 3.5] Anyone want to crash a party? (IC)
Magic clarification time for both of you. Antimagic field does not negate effects, it suppresses them. If a summoned creature is forced into it, it is temporarilly sent back to its home plane. This only works if it is brought here with an actual summoning (a temporary effect), not if the creature has actually shifted planes. Furthermore, any magical transformation (super natural and spell like abilities included) would be also suppressed at the moment that the antimagic field was set in place, even if the headmaster was an actual elemental. However since all inter-plane travel is magical in some sort of way, the headmaster could not plane shift at all, let alone teleport. And again, if the headmaster was a summoned being, then the antimagic field would only have to be undone to bring her back to our plane since the summoning on her has not been dismissed yet.

Gate to positive energy plane? Antimagic to defeat aurora?
Good sir, you just stole some of the key elements of my plan.
In addition, blade is right; you've both got it wrong.Last edited by Fates; 2012-04-13 at 10:53 PM.

Re: [d&d 3.5] Anyone want to crash a party? (IC)
Well I used the wrong words. Suppressed and turned off are pretty similar but I am right about her not being able to turn into an earth elemental not being able to shift to the plane of earth and all the other stuff shifting back to where it came from if they stepped into my anti-magic field. Also great minds think alike.

Re: [d&d 3.5] Anyone want to crash a party? (IC)
For those of you who are interested, here is the ingenious plan which I had hatched, but will no longer be able to use (maybe on some later date)
Spoiler
I planned to create a gate to the positive energy plane directly where aurora was standing (never says in the PHB that I can't) and then go through it; due to my levels in cosmic descryer, I am immune to the effects of two planes- I had chosen the positive and negative energy planes. Anyway, I then would cast an extended Antimagic Ray, which functions like antimagic field, except that it only effects one person, and has a fortitude save. I would use spin fate and seal fate to increase the DC of the ray by 15, making the total DC 66- assuming she failed this, I would summon a primal earth elemental, have my cohort (who would have come with, and cast positive energy protection on herself) also cast positive energy protection on the elemental. The elemental would grapple Aurora, and I would sit by and make some comments about how she was useless without her magic- maybe slash her a few times with my sword. She would have 52 rounds, during which she would have to roll a fortitude save every round- assuming she has at least +24 to her save, I would just be waiting for her to roll a natural one, but the chances are she would within the duration of the spell.

I "see" everything in a 60ft radius that I have line of effect to, I do not need spot checks, and the light would not have affected my touchsight, so I "saw" what she did.

Re: [d&d 3.5] Anyone want to crash a party? (IC)
I rub the bridge of my nose "Peace, power, serenity, corruption, food, hunger, life, death. These are the things I love and the things I hate." I mutter under my breath. Than step out to see her "Miss Aurora I know that most women feel massages and free pedicures and sea weed wraps are too feminine to remain respectable but I assure you should you let us go through the procedure we'll return the money and tell them that you were much to busy improving the life of the people to receive the massage." I say reaching into my bag for a tea kettle and some scented candles.

Magic, where's your rolling ball of death for a companian at? And who's he killing that you don't want to die? Oh I guess Ishould stop being scary, too. Alas, goodbye full head of hair. Knack dismisses his form of doom and retracts his massive claws. Oh! You wouldn't happen to have any crumpets, would you?

Re: [d&d 3.5] Anyone want to crash a party? (IC)
"I thought you were on a diet you know it's all carbs." I cast servant horde (2d6)[8] and order them to start setting things up. I have multiple cots along with blankets. "Come now both of you lay back and breath in the jasmine." Using my bag of material components I pull out a few jasmine petals and lightly breath them across the room. "I shall send Jace and Knick for some seaweed." I smile massaging Aurora. "Hallok please give our other guest a simple massage." I say with a smile. "Hallok if you've got programmed amnesia get it ready to wipe the old lady clean on my cue. If not get rid of her by any means neccesary." I think at Hallok. "Ma'm we're going to be using a bit of magic that if fought could hurt. Just relax I promise I won't hurt you."

Hallow responds telepathically. I have...a similar spell. How would you have me alter her mind? I can change, destroy, or create practically any memories or emotions within her, even changing her overall outlook. (By which I mean alignment)

"Hmm wait for me to finish Aurora's mind than turn that one into a little old lady or a giant hating lady who will do anything to get a chance to kill them. Whatever makes you happy. But I recommend the little old lady because these crumpets are to die for." I cast Programmed amnesia she's willing to receive the magic so she should get no save. First off I get to know pretty much everything she knows. (Since that would take forever to read through I just want to know about her childhood her rise to the position of headmaster, how she knows the old lady, her love life that's the information I need.)
