Phoenix wouldn't even need the fee. He's a paladin, after all. If the eldritch creature is sufficiently troublesome to need the boot, he's fine with being the one doing the booting, as long as it's necessary enough.

Er... Magtok? I think you've confused the Siphons with the Bloodthieves... Siphons are essentially scaled worms, ranging in size from eight to ten feet long, and three to six feet around, with a pair of vertical mandibles on one end, and are down on the ground at the base of the wall, unless there's room for them up on it, and a way for them to get up there.

The ettercap doesn't wait for an answer, turning around and chittering like Mr. Squiggles. A disc of earth raises itself up as a ten-foot-wide spider climbs out of its hole and chitters back.

What the ettercap doesn't know, and therefore can't inform people about, is that the large gates are heavily warded. There's a smaller gate set into the larger which is locked, barred, and which doesn't affect the spell on the larger gate, but it's night time, which means a ward has been placed on it as well. The walls are similarly defended.

Outside The Hermitage

The Cessie elemental is moving along with the others as well, keeping close to Harnel to protect him. The fire elemental doesn't actually weight much while it's unable to fly so if they happen upon the traps, it might not trigger them.

"Yes, any defenses which aren't plainly visible for the naked eye right now?" She asks.

I underestimated the issue by several orders of magnitude. I am now in full panic mode. Do not expect hide nor hair of me tomorrow, except for perhaps very rare sightings. This might continue into the weekend.

We aren't used to each other, so it's natural we could have coordinated a little better." Young Star is just a little ashamed himself. He was the first to try something on his own, and got blasted away because of it.

Well, I do have a character post up for her, linked in my signature. But, I guess I can do a quick summary.

Krystal Jones is a mutant. Her DNA, while similar to a humans, is not that same. As such, she has several differences. The most notable are that her eyes are pure white. No iris or pupil. Also, her hair seems to be made out of a fine crystal, similar to those found in fiber optic cables. As far as looks go, the only other odd thing is that she has a lot of scaring on her joints, especially her knuckles, elbows, and wrists.

Krystal's bones are not like a humans, besides in shape. Instead of a largely calcium based structure, hers are made of a carbon structure similar to that of a diamond. As such, her entire skeleton is clear and as hard as the gemstone. She is able to manipulate her bones, causing them to grow out and sharpen. Hence the scaring of her joints. She can produce and retract these points fairly quickly. She can also pull the crystal out completely. In such scenarios, her bones do not get pulled out. Instead, they extend to twice their length, then cut themselves in half. As such, the size of the crystal she can produce depends on the bone it is coming from.

Krystal also has a healing factor. Which keeps her from bleeding out every time she uses her crystals. The healing factor is not 100%, however. This is shown by the fact that she does have scars in the areas she most frequently pulls crystals from.

Krystal's powers manifested when she was about 12. Like most mutants, it was during puberty that they came about. She had to live with a lot of prejudice. But, Krystal still had hope. Her home dimension was full of super heroes. Including a group consisting exclusively of mutants. When she was eighteen, she left home to seek out this group. As she journeyed, her dimension and the Nexus became connected for a time, and she wound up here.
