[Bitp:R] Episode 16: Desperate Times...

...call for desperate measures. In times of war, even the injured prepare for battle. Talent is noticed, and field promotions are made. Divisions lacking upper ranks look for leaders.

Myojin, left with no orders, is sitting cross-legged in the middle of the training grounds outside of the 10th division barracks. His zanpakuto laying in his lap, Myojin is obviously meditating.

Myojin opens his eyes in the center of a brightly lit clearing surrounded by blooming cherry trees. in front of him is a large throne, with a large, old man full black o-yoroi. Next to him stands a young woman in white fencing gear. Myojin bows to the two.

Tatsumasa. Umezawa.

Myojin. Welcome.
Good to see you again.

Friends, we are back where we started. War. We've been through it before. I trust we can get through it again.

The scarred old man smiles.
Good. It's time all these koshinuke saw what we can really do.

The young woman looks between the two rather aged men, and smirks, chuckling a little.
Once more into the fray, then, old friends?

Indeed.

[Nicklance]

Konpaku Aya enters the training grounds.

"Thank you for inviting me over Myojin-sama."

[CMOTDibbler]

Myojin stands up, leaning slightly on his sword.

Of course, Aya-san. I was told we were to finish our sparring. Taro-dono wanted to see it through.

[Nicklance]

Aya nods, standing casually despite her twin blades hanging off her petite frame.

[CMOTDibbler]

Myojin slides his zanpakuto back into it's place at his waist, and pops his neck.

Well, Aya-san. Shall we continue? I'm sure Taro-sama will be here shortly.

[Nicklance]

Aya takes a defensive stance but does not yet draw her blades.

[CMOTDibbler]

Myojin puts his hand on the hilt of his sword, drawing it about an inch out of it's sheath and bending his knees slightly.

Very well. As I recall, Aya-san, I was the last to make a move previously. That would make it your move.

Myojin smiles, reaching up and removing his hat, tossing it to the ground next to him.

[Nicklance]

As soon as Myojin throws his hat away Aya has one feet kicked down on his zankaputo, forcing it back into the sheathe.

Her hands on the other hand are going for a double karate chop down on the middle of his neck and shoulders.

[CMOTDibbler]

Myojin pulls on an end of his cloth belt, undoing it and releasing him from his sword's sheath. He then jumps back, hands up in a guard position, to avoid the blow.

[Nicklance]

Aya had meant to kick Myojin's zanpakuto away, effectively disarming him but she slipped up and lost a crucial balance point in mid air.

Unable to accomplish what she wants, and seeing that Myojin had jumped back she kicks his zanpakuto right back at him like an arrow.

[CMOTDibbler]

Myojin smiles and spins on his feet. As his sword slides past him he catches the it by the hilt, letting the sheath continue off the sword past him. He turns again to face Aya, holding his sword in both hands to his right.
