((Actually Alpha had meant to suggest that he and Mia should be the ones to check the elevator. Sorry if that was unclear.))

"Drawing lots? Excuse me, but isn't that rather... Alpha pauses, trying to think of a polite way to put this. Tact is hardly his forte. "Tactically unsound?"

Arkham Hospital

Yeah that is pretty anti-climactic, isn't it?

Probably leaves everyone involved looking pretty silly too.

"Um... That was... Less terrible than it could have been?" More awkward though. Letting go of his death grip on Winifred's hand and picking himself up off the ground, Oliver examines the room with his ghostly senses.

He's actually sorta hoping there will be some creepy-awful specter lying in wait to ambush them, just so he won't have made all that fuss over nothing.

SRW Plot- Cave

Mia herself more wonders about the number. It's nice of him to give MDM an extra lot, but they won't split. That would cause both to loose most of their abilities. So Mia goes over and draws one lot. Then she heads to MDM revealing it.

"Let's see what we got here."

[Shadowcaller]

[Inside The Mech]

"Yes, but any name won't do. Took might have taken my angle name so I will need a new mortal name..." She hesitates. "But before that... you wouldn't be so kind to share with me some food?" The woman begs him. "I hate to beg but I'm not sure how much food I can find on my own."

[Murkus]

Streets of the Red Zone
The confetti stops and blows away at the sight of this new arrival! The children are quite sad!
The warrior might feel the eyes of an 18 year old girl hiding behind a crate staring at him. She has long, rainbow colored hair that covered one of her hazel eyes. She was also wearing a pull-over hood that was too big for her, making her look adorable in it. She watched the warrior carefully as some confetti begins to dance around him on a slight breeze. She wondered how he'd react to it!

The warrior doesn't quite notice the girl's presence, mostly because of his apparent fascination with her confetti. His people don't have anything of the sort, and while he seems a bit wary, the warrior is mostly amused. He flashes a white-toothed smile.

This strange reaches toward the swirling colored paper, as if trying to take hold.

The Troll gets clobbered with another thwumper!

It does seem to enjoy this sensation all that much. But the thing is as stubborn and durable as it is ugly. While it has been injured pretty squarely by the attacks it refuses to budge!

As the dragon dives the Troll will leap into the air to meet it!

Jumping headlong into a large dragon with a mouth full of gold isn't very wise. But then again, neither is the Troll.

Meanwhile!

Most of Freddie's back is frozen in ice there in the little prison! He's shivering and chattering pretty well as he pokes at the sphinx.

"C-c-cc'mon Cat. P-p-p-please don't be d-d-dead."

[Halae]

[Inside The Mech]

Michael sighs and nods, going towards the survival kit sitting outside again. He'll be back in a moment with a protein bar, which he takes the wrapper off of for the woman, "So what sort of name do you want? Given that you have the opportunity to choose it."

[Slii Arhem]

Kashi meets the toad-thingy head on, seeing how he has no time to correct his aim. He'll let go with the cannonball a bit early once the troll is in the way of his shot, aiming for the thing's center mass with a slightly more hasty shot.

Then he pulls up, not wanting to smash into the ground, and looks over his shoulder to see if he's managed to incapacitate the blasted thing yet. He doesn't know much that could survive a ridiculously heavy ball of molten metal to the sternum.

Phew, he's kinda tired after making that much metal all at once. Looks like he'll have to melt those two out the old fashioned way once this is over with, and that troll is out of the way.

It turns out that Trolls can not, in fact, take a ridiculously heavy ball of molten gold to the sternum.

The monster drops form the sky, its body a blazing conflagration, before striking the pavement with a disgusting splat and drawing still.

He's dead Jim.

Meanwhile!

Apparently Cat isn't a cat anymore! How handy.

Freddie is using his Foxfire to melt the ice off her! Thankfully the Huldra is able to control what the stuff does and doesn't burn. Otherwise this would probably be really dangerous.

The girl smiles a lonely smile as she watches him reach toward the paper. How she loved to watch people become amused by her confetti...
More confetti came and will begin to swirl around the warrior's hand in a colorful helix.

The warrior raises his hand, watching this new phenomenon around his forearm, and then finally has a look around.

"Is there someone there? I like your little colored paper," says the warrior, voice deep and rich.

Oh yay! Time to swoop down and be the hero and see who or what he's saved then. Kashi lands next to the dumpster and starts gently playing a stream of fire over the top of the ice sculpture. Gotta get those people out before they catch cold!

He's going to stop once he sees a hole forming so he can peak inside and see what's what. Wouldn't want to boil those folks inside, even if the ice would insulate them from most of the heat.

[Soul Quest- Warehouse]

As Irene is slowly lead toward Sophie's position, the shadow Sophie is threatening continues to run. It's obviously not taking her threat too seriously.

Sophie backs away a bit to get a running start, then dashes forward and tries to tackle whoever it is that's hiding in the dark.

[Streets]

Yay, they're saved!
Sort of!
Cat is trying to wake up.
Her hands and legs twitch, and she tries to lift her head.

"Mruuueeeh?"

She looks pretty blue, though. Must be the cold and such.
But she's alive!
For now.

[Animal Shelter]

Arel sighs and idly toys with the tip of one of her vines. She looks over to Rein, but soon looks down again. Bobbie will have no problem getting a petal, as the vines are not very sensitive and Are isn't paying attention.

Petal thus stolen!
It will be tucked away in a little pocket somewhere and Bobbie will dance a bit away from Arel.

"Oooooh well. If Arel likes 'em, guess they gotta stay huh?"
The chipper woman doesn't really seem too fussed about it.
Seems quite accepting!

She's probably planning something.

As soon as Cat begins to stir Freddie gives a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank the Emperor you're alright..." he says.

Well.

Y'know.

Relatively speaking.

She's still alive at least!

The top of the ice sculpture is eventually melted off and Kashi will find-!

Some oak bark.

Covered with fuzz green moss.

Does he remember what Freddie's back looks like?

'cuz that's what the dragon found.

Oh look a Freddy. Kashi remembers everyone he's napped with (it hasn't been many people so far) so Freddy is easy to pick out.

And he was at that silly game when Kashi got the blokz too.

"Snyyuuuui! <Heya! What's going on?>"

The woman sheepishly accept the food and slowly start eating on the protein bar, her gaze downcast.

"I- I don't know." She says nervously. "How did you get your name?"

[Halae]

[Inside The Mech]

"My parents gave it to me. Brennan is a family name, while Michael is a common name among men. I think it has a biblical connection - the name of an archangel or something."

[Eadin]

[Streets]

Cat will try to look up at Freddy before turning back to the ground to cough.
Some blood ends up on the stones. Probably internal bleeding.
"Fred..Sorry.."Is what she manages to say before slumping down.
She looks fine on the outside, so she's probably healing on the inside now.
She shivers, looking exhausted.

[Animal Shelter]

Arel rubs her arm. Bobbie's chipper attitude is not particularly infectious. She's... not sure what to say at the moment, so she just stays silent. Awkwardly silent.

[Streets]

"Cat, you have nothing to apologize for," Freddie replies, offering his friend a foxy grin. "That brute took us both by surprise."

Hopefully his phone is alright!

That thing can't regenerate. Maybe he should have gotten an insurance plan to go with it...

Then suddenly snyuui!

"Kashi?" comes a muffled voice from inside the ice prison. "Is that you?"

How many other dragons speak in snyuui? What a dumb question.

"Well, we're stuck in a block of ice. There was a Troll that trapped us in here. Is it still alive?"

[Slii Arhem]

Streets

Snyuuu <I dunno, lemme make sure. Wait right there, okay?>" Not like they have much of a choice. Kashi heads over to the troll and takes a long look at it, making sure it isn't twitching or breathing. Assuming it isn't, he'll move closer and try to clamp his jaws around its neck and give it a couple of hard shakes, trying to snap its neck.

That oughta do it.

[Eadin]

Streets

Cat coughs again, this time without blood.
Her inside seems to be healing up slowly.

She'll try to sit up, shivering.
Might not go so well, and she uses all her strength to keep upright.
''Shouldn't have attacked like that. Just wanted to save you.''
This will be followed by more coughing.

[Streets]

The Troll has no neck to break.

All that's left is a puddle of cooling molten gold and some water.

Oh.

And a lump of Blue Ice buried in the gold. But that would probably be hard to get at.

Anywho!

Sitting up might be hard. Freddie and Cat are in pretty cramped conditions at the moment.

"You had no way of knowing that it would freeze you in mid-air, Cat. Don't beat yourself up over this. We survived, that's all that matters. We just learn from it and do better next time."

Oh, well then it's almost certainly dead. Kashi will go back to the wonderball and peer back into the hole he made.

"Snyui! <Yep, dead as a pile of water. Want me to melt you guys out of there now?>" He doesn't want to start on the fire without letting them get ready first. That would be kind of shocking, he thinks.

"Oh... Do you know any more angel names? I can't remember a single one." The woman asks hopefully.

"Uh, I think i know a few of the archangel names. I know there's a whole lot more, and we can look them up at some point." Michael says, thinking, "The ones i know off the top of my head are Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Raphael. And I think Peter, but he wasn't an archangel."

[Shadowcaller]

"Those sound good." She replies, seemingly encouraged by this simple act. "I think I will go with Raphael. That's a good name right?"

[Halae]

[Inside The Mech]

Michael raises an eyebrow, "well, most archangel names are more related to men than women, but yeah, it's a good name," can't really blame her, anyways.

[Shadowcaller]

[Inside The Mech]

"Angels don't have genders but men usually see them and God as male." She is quick to inform Michael with a hint of pride in her voice, that's a sin isn't it?
"But would it be odd if I took it? Since I'm a uh... woman?" She sounds a bit unsure about this fact.
