Paul takes the bum he's been leading up to the front desk.

We found these fellows in the process of attempting to cook and devour a Pokemon egg stolen from a man earlier today. They pilfered some of his other belongings as well.

Alright Gerald. I'll get everyone on the same page, we need to head to the gym and get everything figured out. Ethan syncs his pad up with his dex, transfering the files. He sends texts to Romeo and Paul telling them to head to the gym as well to Artemis informing her everyone was on their way. With a ping, the files were done tranfering. Ethan scims them quickly. Wow, Gerald takes excellent notes. He has a lot of potential, I wonder if he ever realizes it.

"Cooking an egg isn't against the law," the old man sitting at the desk says. "But theft is. What did they take besides the egg?" he asks, pulling out a pad of paper.

Paul's brow furrows.

I'm aware of the lax laws against Pokemon abuse in this region. Used to do PSAs about it all the time. But since such eggs are considered property, the stealing of one in and of itself is a crime. As for other things taken, there were at least a few hundred bucks, a phone, some tools, and a Pokedex. Not sure if there was anything beyond that.

Ten minutes later, Gerald was dressed, but looking at a pokeball. Strange how it was all scuffed-wait, were those eyelids?
Oh. OH.
He gently puts it down and scans it, before having Sparky thoroughly web it until it'd be hard pressed to move, before carrying it out, sliding the toolkit by foot up to the counter.
"Um...apparently, I accidentally picked up the voltorb that knocked me out. Is there...what should I do with it? It's wild but unconscious."

Catch it. Might as well. Voltorb are fast, and can be great as a power source. Can be somewhat tempermental and volatile though. Ethan scans the ball while Ollie pokes it with his trunk, wagging his stump of a tail.

"Come on...." he mutters, dragging them off as they plead innocence as they do so.

"Have you recovered the goods or do we need to begin an investigation?" he says in a tired voice.

"We can take it if you want, or you can get it barely concious, then catch it," she says.

"You got knocked out by a Voltorb? It doesn't look like it exploded," she says, looking closely at the Pokemon.

'We got the stuff back, or at least we think we got all of it. The hatched pokemon is safe and our friend has the tools and money. He hasn't checked them, but we'll assume they're all there. We just want these men put away, that's all.'

Miss? I actually recently caught two pokemon, a mankey and a geodude. Both are, shall we say, rebellious. Do you have any tips on how to bring them into line?

'We got the stuff back, or at least we think we got all of it. The hatched pokemon is safe and our friend has the tools and money. He hasn't checked them, but we'll assume they're all there. We just want these men put away, that's all.'

"Well, that's taken care of. Do you need anything else?"

"Teach them who is boss," she says. "If they rebel, take them down a peg. Show them what happens when they rebel. Then reward them if they follow you. Give them food, water, stuff like that," she finishes sagely.

'No, that's all. We better meet up with the others and check on the remoraid. C'mon Paul.'

"Caught me off guard and then tripped me up enough to send me into a wall head first. How much to get it to catchable?"

Paul lumbers off with Romeo.

So, off to meet up with the others and determine what to do about this kid. Ought to be interesting.

"Caught me off guard and then tripped me up enough to send me into a wall head first. How much to get it to catchable?"

"Just fifty," she says, pulling out a needle and jabbing it into the Voltorb. It's eyes glash open as it looks at you.

So, off to meet up with the others and determine what to do about this kid. Ought to be interesting.

The pair head to the gym to meet the rest of the group.

When you arrive it seems that only Artemis is there.

"Thank you again for everything."
One I make the arm, they get a nice sized donation as thanks.
He turns to Ethan.
"Anything you need to do here, or shall we head out?"

Artemis doesn't even look up from her sandwich wrapper that she has taken to folding telekinetically when Romeo feels a searing pain in his favorite organ, as though he were permanently in the most painful part of a kick.

No sarcasm, as sincere as possible. "Paul, I did actually feel bad about what happened to that Pidgey. I was angry and I did enjoy getting that dig at you, but that does not fully justify my actions, nor my semi-gloating at Hank's death. I did actually find another one. Her and Aquilla get along very well. Her name is Columa, and if you wish, here is her ball." The ball floats in front of Paul as she rolls her eyes and jams a Fresh Water into Romeo. You owe me for the Fresh Water. Never ask a Psychic to hit you when you just got in a fight earlier. She returns to her folding of a sandwich wrapper.

As Romeo falls from the attack Paul and Buck both tense to launch themselves at the psychic once again, but relax as she restores his injuries.

I want to feel bad for you, Romeo, but if you're going to give an invitation like that you had better make stipulations. You already know from experience that Artemis isn't the most empathetic individual; no reason to think she'll pull it back now.

He reacts with skepticism to the words of the girl's apologies, barely restraining himself from sneering outright. The floating ball, however, changes that.

Actions do speak louder than words. I still can't say that I believe in your sincerity; I know from experience how well you are at faking it. But heartfelt or not, this gesture is not lost on me. What do you say to a relationship of mutual loathing, held in check by our need to work together? You may not be my favorite person but anyone who can do something like that,

they are definitely someone who has value to the group. And I won't let my personal feelings get in the way of that.

He takes the ball and attaches it to his belt.

One thing, though: her name...is Hank.

The matter resolved, Paul looks at the crew assembled so far.

Let's go ahead and have everyone send out all the Pokemon they have acquired. We need a detailed list of what we have at our disposal to take on this kid. Sad to say, he might currently be a more accomplished trainer than any of us.

Artemis thinks for a second. Sounds abot as sincere as her apology, but it'll work. "Consider it the next time you want to throw a punch. Anyways, can't say I like Hank for a girl, but she is yours. Mutual loathing I can accept. Just...please try to control your thoughts to a degree. Two male brains with nothing but that on the mind gets to be too much."

She lets out Prolios. "Wish this damn egg would hatch..."

Ethan smiles a bit. The team is working together and putting aside their differences, even if they still hate each other. He was somewhat proud of both of them showing some common decency. I would galdly show you the two new additions to my team, but I am not as adept at gaining their loyalty as you seem to be. I'm planning on takeing them out to the route where they can't harm anyone and trying to get them to see things my way. Your welcome to join me. But first, we must plan and we must do so in a secure location. Will the gym work Artemis? At seeing Artemis with her egg, he remembers his own egg and removes it from his satchel. Also, Romeo, do you think you can take care of this egg? You seem more skilled at it than I am.

I'm aware you won't like the name. I admit that is part of the attraction to the idea. As for your body, I already determined you weren't worth risking my in with the Rockets before all this. Now we can add my personal distaste for you to the reasons I'll be leaving you alone.

Well, and also the risk of mental beatings on my junk. That's actually a bigger reason than the dislike. I mean, ouch.

"Wait, what happened to him?"
He pulls out the pokeball with Ballbuster, and tosses it to Arte.
"Careful, ******* voltorb in there. Useful for placing as a trap though. Bit of a Ballbuster. Also, don't know how weak Joe is but that he's going to need weeks to recover, so once I have a bowl of water ready for him to be in safely, you can scan him."
I may need him back when I begin building things as a power source.

"Fair. Here should be safe." Sabrina is with Rocket, so at the very least Psychics will think twice before screwing with us. She looks at Romeo. I'm sure if they arrive I could convince Taylor and Jessica to hold off of lover boy at least until this job is over. I'm sure they'd be understanding why.

She stops the ball midair. Not a Voltorb fan, but I'll hold onto him at least. No qualms about giving him up later.
