There's a roar of rage from the grass as Hardcase fires a dart; apparently it found its mark. There is a sickening crunch as Quartz's attack hits and the shower of bug guts splatters over the Pikachu, causing them to scream in fear. You aren't quite sure if Puck's laughter worked; there is no response from the grass.

The volley of Pokeballs all hit chitin, but from the roars of rage you assume that they did not work.

Ethan gets lucky on his shot; the Scyther flies straight into it, the shot catching it straight in the chest.

Artemis feels no reaction from the mind she assualted; in fact, she doesn't even feel herself touch a mind.

The Scyther move as a unified body, flying out of the grass, screeching in rage. The leader appears out of the grass in a flash, the blur of his body slamming heavily into Aquilla, almost taking him down. Another slams into the bird, taking him out of the fight. Seems as if these bugs are smart; they know birds can hurt. Another flies out of the grass, all body and scythes, slamming heavily into Artemis, blades cutting her.

Two more of the creatures fly out of the grass, right at the Pikachu. Two of the small Pokemon fall and a third is taken out by a Scyther as it accelerates witha burst of speed. The Pikachu blast the one that had taken out it's ally, causing it to fall to the ground, covered in electric waves.

MUK! Aquilla was down! Artemis goes for his ball, but remembers the warning. Judged Pursuit. Diluvium was too weak to do much to any of them without getting killed. Could tackle, but that would likely get him hit like Aquilla, and he might not take the hits as well as the bird. Diluvium, just stay with Ethan. Protect him. He's important. "Romeo, quit randomly chucking balls at the Scyther. It's no good if they are this healthy."

Finally, Buck gets a blow in on the leader. It's a strong hit, making the beast stop flying for a second and almost fall. It looks angry now.

Use Gamr Plan on Dilivium. Moves Int squares (4) to H5.

[Arcran]

The Umbreon slams into the leader, hitting it heavily. It roars in rage, its scythes moving in a blur to cut down the Pokeballs that fly through the air. But on one, it is just half a second too late; a half second that is just a little too much.

Paul's ball slams into the leader, absorbing it. It falls into the grass, unmoving. It doesn't burst forth, meaning that the Scyther was likely caught.

The remaining Scyther flee, flying through the grass at blinding speed. Elly looks as if she is about to chase one down.

You look around you. Two Scyther lay on the ground, unconcious, both at the hands of the Pikachu.

Speaking of the Pikachu.... For some reason they haven't left and just stare at the party. There are only three left; at least two seem to be dead. One of the Pikachu gets down on all fours to walk over to its companion, poking it hesitantly.

They need to practice more. He can't take hits very well. She gives him a small kiss on the forehead before recalling him. "Everyone holding up?"
