Serph packs things he had found. Daggers may be useful, through he doubts that.
Dromet, take a look at this armor, if it's better than any of ours and you can adjust sizes, we take it. Maybe it won't turn out to be such waste of time after all."

Dromet will look at the armor. "I don't have any ability to say if it is magical but it looks like okay leathers."

"Let me check", she says as she casts detect magic.

Eophyn

"The leather is pretty mundane." She looks at the body to check anything else.

[Man on Fire]

"Well, then leave it or take it, whatever you want." Serph shrugs. "Can we go back to the road now, please?"

"Yes, to the town, wonder if he is going the same way," Dromet says as he looks back toward the road.

Eophyn

She had a sneaking suspicion that she was missing something, but for the life of her she could not think of it. "Okay, let's go."

The trip back to the road is rather uneventful. You follow the same path you took to get there in the first place, and make it back to the road faster than it took to get where you were in the first place. Town is in sight, and (unless you have any concerns otherwise) you set out towards it and make it in the better part of an hour, with the guards letting you in without any fuss, a welcome change from the last town you entered. The town is pretty big, with no real noticeable landmarks, and the typical fare as far as buildings. There is, as before, a standing notice board sitting in the middle of town.

At the gate the young elf kept her ears out for any word of the bandits. She even asked one of the guards in her demur manner, "Oh, we met someone on the road hear complain about bandits. We were so lucky not to be waylaid. Has anyone else been caught by them?"

The guard responds readily to Eophyn. "Those bandits have been a pain for us for months now. There's actually a post on the board about them, not that many people have had luck with it."

[shugyosha]

Eophyn

"Well thank you, we were so lucky get here in one piece," she says to the guard.

Once out of ear shot of the guards she ask her friends, "Well, what do you want to do? We can try to find that bandit camp and collect a bounty or we can try to find other work."

[stanleyindraven]

"I am not pleased that no one has dealt with these bandits. Also, it may make our names known as the good guys," Dromet replies to Eophyn.

[shugyosha]

Eophyn

"Well someone said he dealt with them and we took out two," she says in a whisper.

[Man on Fire]

"Normally I would be against it, but to clear our name it may work. How about you talk to the guard about what happened to us and ask for any advice on badit hunting?"

[shugyosha]

Eophyn

A little surprised by his answer, Eophyn shrugs and heads to talk to another guard. "Excuse me, the bounty on the bandits, how does one go about collecting it? Do we have to bring back them alive or their heads? "

"Bring proof that you've taken care of them, preferably alive. If you can't take them alive, you'll still get paid, we'd just rather imprison them than murder needlessly. You understand right?"

[shugyosha]

Eophyn

The elven maid returns, "They said we have to bring back proof, maybe whatever they stole. But we got to hurry. Who knows that theat other guy and his men have done."

[Man on Fire]

"Well, the guy probably already took the heads and went collect the bounty, it's not like he had anything else to do with them. We can always check."

[stanleyindraven]

"Agreed, we should rest and get back to that spot where we ran into them," Dromet says.

[shugyosha]

Eophyn

"Fine," Eophyn says with a smile. "I'll get us a room in one of the inns you guys find the board and see what else is going on. Then we rest and tomorrow we head back."

Eophyn heads of to an inn and inquires about a room.

[stanleyindraven]

Dromet will look for the board at the center of town and examine the different going-ons in the town.

Eophyn

The innkeeper tells you that rooms are five gold apiece per night, and asks how many you are looking for.

Dromet

There are plenty of jobs on the board, mostly for mundane stuff like yard work or escorts. There is one for the bandits you ran into, with a total bounty of 250 gold pieces for the capture or elimination of the bandit camp in the woods. There's also two jobs for exterminating minor monster threats, and a few bounty jobs, thankfully to you, none of them are yours.

Dromet will grab the job posting for the bandits and one for the monster threats. "These should help us along the way," he says to Serp.

Eophyn

She hands the keep 5 gold and asks where she might get some food. All along she keeps her ears open for anything about the bandits or anything else that might be interesting.

The Innkeeper mentions that there's a tavern right up the road, not even two minutes walk from the inn. Other than that, you hear nothing but meaningless gossip from the other people you pass.

Dromet

The monster threat post you pulled down was for a small band of gnolls that have holed up in an abandoned fort near town. It seems they have been raiding nearby crops recently. 25gp per head, but any possessions that appear to have been taken from the farmers must be returned. Anything obviously belonging to the gnolls is free game.

Eophyn

Taking the key she heads out to find her friends. "Guys, there's a tavern. Let's go get something to eat. The monks hospitality was fine but their food was a little bland."

[stanleyindraven]

"I agree," Dromet says as he grips the two pieces of paper tightly.

[Man on Fire]

"Yeah, I'm a bit hungry." Serph nods. "Found anything interesting?" He asks Dromet.

[stanleyindraven]

"Some gnolls in a fort and two-hundred and fifty gold for the bandit camp."
