Freddie pulls out the Claw of Chatturgath! It still looks like a weird organic pistol thingy. "It does more than just the hot beams of death, too. Apparently it can also create elements? Though only simple ones. I'm not totally sure what that means, though."

Boy, it sure would be useful if some official person of Glog were to happen past. They might want to hear about those Boggarts.

Butler smiles a little back. "Alright ma'am. Any particular kind ma'am?"

There are, in fact, multiple kinds!

The vines covering Vidalia's body slowly pull away, disappearing to wherever they come from, most likely her back. Um, the one where you touch me all over, making me feel wonderful from head to toe? she says, making it into her own qestion.

The Shaman nods. "They truly deserve their happiness." He tells her with a slight smile. "I've never seen my brother so joyous. Even at his Name Giving."

Forest Hut

Tito finally stands up. "I don't believe it. It's just a story." Unless someone stops him, he'll head off, seeming rather disgruntled.

Renetta blinks at Tito's reaction. She looks between Waterstrider and Pathfinder, unsure what to say.

Forest Hut

"I'll go talk to him." Pathfinder says, following Tito out. Outside the hut, he hurries to catch up with the halfling. "Why don't you believe it?"

Back inside the hut, Waterstrider's ears fall a bit before he offers Renetta and Lily a sad smile. "They'll be okay." He says assuredly.

{Vidalia's Room}

"I can do that ma'am. That's just called a full body massage ma'am." Butler says, moving to the side of Vidalia's bed.

"Tito is always SO serious!" Lily says, rolling her eyes. "He should wear a hat of seriousness, like all the time, so everyone knows."

Tito is easily caught up with. He appears to be headed back towards the Main Cabin. He shrugs at Pathfinder's question. "Because. If your parents were Dawn Wolf and Fenris then they would have rescued you instead of leaving you in the slave caravan."

Pathfinder's ears fall a bit at the words and with a sad look, he gets to one knee in front of Tito, looking down at him. "It might seem that simple, but Tito, there's aspects of life that are hard to understand. While I have no doubt they would have intervened on our behalf if they absolutely needed to, doing so would have taught Waterstrider and I nothing in the ways of humility. We were but children at the time. Image how Lily would act if she knew she had powers granted by the Great Spirits compared to how your mother or father would. We were full of arrogance and brashness, and we still are, but we've grown mature and wise." He tries to explain. He pauses for a moment, looking uncertain before continuing. "What if I could prove it. Right now."

"It doesn't change who I am, Tito. I'm always going to be me. Pathfinder. Nothing can change that. I don't care if I am their son, or the son of some other Wolfen couple. It doesn't change the lessons I've learned that have made me who I am." Pathfinder says, ears drooped. He offers the halfling boy his paw. "I'm always going to be your friend and stay who I am. Not Darkness nor Dark Step nor Dawn Wolf and Fenrir could ever make that otherwise, I swear it."

Renetta shifts a little. It's a bit awkward disagreeing with Lily, but feeling like she can't say anything to reprimand her since she's someone else's child. The welfen looks down at her own child. She's going to have to get used to bickering children, isn't she? The thought still brings a small smile to her face none the less.

Tito gives a genuine smile and hugs Pathfinder. "Good."

Lily suddenly has an idea. "Waterstrider? Can you ask your mommy to turn me into a Wolfen?"

Another Toby, plotcloned from a time before that conversation, is with his son Hadrian in the Main Cabin. He's giving the kid some Young-ian Symbols (TM) play toys! They include such archetypal items as the Wise Old Woman doll, the Puer Aeturnus action figure, the Ouroboros teething ring, and a plastic Emerald Tablet, which Hadrian promptly sits on. Toby tries to get his son to play with the Trickster stuffed fox, but the child seems more interested in the Apollo reading book.

"I dunno. I guess so?" Silly Jamie, Salix has nooo idea what she's doign at all. She is just observing, and maybe helping if Jamie looks like she needs it. There's not a lot she can do, though.

"That... that was what you call necessary." Reinholdt says. Shame that one mental hospital blew up. Rein'd probably take him there.

Oh well. Least he can try to get him into the infirmary and strapped down.
"We're going to see Quinn now, ok?" Reinholdt says, stepping over to Marty with the intent to pick him up.

Marty can say bothing as numbness overpowers him. A few incoherent ramblins come out of his mouth as he's dragged. Soon he's strapped down on a bed.

Jamie giggles, and pushes a comically oversized tub of melted butter at Salix!
"Can you hang onto this while I baste the thing?"

"Sure." The dryad grins and takes the tub. She peers at the contents, unsure what to make of the liquid. "What's this stuff?"

"Drawn butter. It's tasty but fattening if you tried to eat it just by itself." Jamie grins, grabbing a basting brush, dunking it in the butter and then smearing it all over the crab!

Brinika's eyes go wide. And they live in the water? Could they live in our lake too?

[Lakeshore]

"Nope, they live in salt water, and this is fresh water," Jamie explains with a smile.

"I've never seen the ocean," states Karry, looking into the aforementioned fresh water. "But that's where they're supposed to live. My pap saw a shark once."

[Gullara]

"Oh, this is butter." The mystery is solved! Now Salix wishes she could taste it. Shame bother her hands are full.

Marty can say nothing as numbness overpowers him. A few incoherent ramblings come out of his mouth as he's dragged. Soon he's strapped down on a bed.

Incoherent ramblings? That's what he was doing before to get drugged!

Reinholdt straps him into a bed nice and tight before going to get one of those IV drip things and set Marty up with a nice mild sedative drip.

Probably should wait for a doctor on this, but eh.

"That's a problem. Apparently he has all these people working for him. But we have no idea who he is or where he is. And we know that he's up to no good. I think the best thing to do would be to warn people about it. Maybe more people living here in the Nexus would be willing to look into it if they knew how dangerous he is."

The Huldra shakes his head.

"I doubt we'll be able to handle this all on our own."

Nurse Piper arrives as Reinholdt is finishing up. "Please step back from the patient. Corpses should not be performing medical treatment." Obviously ghosts should instead.

If allowed to approach, she'll check Reinholdt's work and see to it that Marty is receiving the proper treatment for a drug overdose, since that's the obvious ailment. She isn't really qualified to treat people for psychiatric meltdowns.

Marty is not receiving treatment for drug overdose at all! In fact, he's being drugged more with sedatives.

"Found him in the lake. He woke up stark raving mad. Absolute lunatic that one. Even Tobias makes more sense. He did call out for Quinn though, so I guess he knows her."

"You are not medically qualified. Sedatives are not the correct treatment for a Sannish overdose," Nurse Piper says, and goes about attempting to administer... whatever is the correct treatment. Probably just a saline drip. Of course Reinholdt can stop her if he chooses.

Either way, she'll push the 'Summon an actual PC doctor' button too.

Marty can be godmodded now while asleep.

"Yeah, but I think keeping him under is important. He's a real danger to himself." Reinholdt says. But he won't stop her.

He's let someone know and done his part and there's been a button push, so Reinholdt decides to step away from that situation and back outside.

He's still strapped down. Whether or not the corpse is correct in saying that the patient is insane, the fact that he's overdosed on drugs is enough reason to keep the straps in place.
