Mach kind of hears the plea for food and kind of half-shouts back upstairs, "There's a box of Luna-Os in the pantry." He then turns his attention back to the ponies in the room with him.

"I ah... like the little marshmallow bits... Anyway, is he going to be alright?"

"Who? The hungry sleepy one? Or the one here with me joining me in the saying of cheesy lines?" Gearstride wanly smirked and shook her head. She turned her head back to the lieutenant.

If she didn't have a visitor coming, she'd strongly consider sitting here for hours, listening to some calming music, just her and her wine.

There was a very clear "Do not disturb or I'll feed you to Boris." sign on the door too. Mystic would be here until about 15 minutes before Balboa arrived.

Well, considering Balboa wasn't going to appear til like three hours later, she did have the opportunity to do so anyway.

The trip is long. About an ahour and a have. Smooth too but the daytime vision of Las Haygas pulled into view soon. The land behind the Manehattan, Manehattan casino and the noble hoofs out room keys. "5 PM in the lobby by the old mare with a blue mane, folks.'

Eventually an ornate carriage would pull up in the drive way like area pulled by pegasi. Three stallions dressed in black suits, sunglasses, and ear pieces stepped out first, two of 'em earth ponies, the other a unicorn. NPC!Astrid followed out after two, taking some notes down. Balboa was the last to exit, dressed rather dapper, looking handsome. He carried himself with a dignified manner as he smoked a puff on his cigar that he had the unicorn carry.

"Mmm, not bad on the outside," He said with a small yawn, the ride over was a little taxing.

An earth pony went to the door to knock on the door/ring the door bell.

Snowflake stared at the pegasus with a mixture of disbelief and awe. It was nothing for him to escape from a village filled with monsters? "You... you were sleepy? While trying to flee a dragon? That... I... no words to describe."

He seems to be trying to remember.
"Well....I was tired of running away from other monsters and of fighting back at the village, so yeah, I was pretty sleepy, needed to rest, but still had to go away since I was still too close"

Mach just sort of shrugged at Gearstride's comment and takes another long drink of coffee while the crazy ponies in his house decide what they're going to do. I mean, his opinion is another treatment and Silverpine could just walk out, but whatever.

Well it seems that the powers that be need her again for some outsider's view on the town. Seems there was something of a security issue and they need her expertise on how to plug a few holes on the west gate. Seems somepony remembered she never officially arrived in the town according to record.

Of course, some of her views on how to fix these little security issues were completely at odds with what the guard feels it should be doing. The mare seems to think the patrols should be happening outside of the town since the normal patrols are just one more checkbox when casing a building. In any case, she recommends to keep the gates closed and guards on the wall from now on. Oh, and she states the 7 of the 9 ways she's spotted to easily bypass the place.

One must keep their own options open.

House of the other Muse, starring Ember, Lochbed, and Aubade


It was another day for Ember, another day to pile on more problems and concerns on his shoulders. At least he kinda lighten the load when he told Aubade about Grills' thing.

Aubade was busy making breakfast, as Ember sat at the table reading the paper and drinking some coffee. He didn't want to disturb Lochbed at the moment, she was extra adorable asleep.

"I'll order the patrols to eliminate anypony they see around this mountain range. Also, we're already working to speed up the production, I'll send more ponies to extraction, we've just finished setting posts around the valley for look out and stoping anypony that could find us"

Cue the afterscene where the Esmeralda was massaging Lone Star's back, just because. "Mmmmm, that was just delightful..."

He seems to be trying to remember.

"Yeah, I got after arriving at night *sigh* It tires so much I still feel it right now...."
he then crossed both forelegs on the bed
"my sword is right here, sheated on my left side; and my armor's at the blacksmith, too a hard enough beating to get the leg part stuck and make me fall on my shoulder yesterday, gone there and the blacksmith noticed the 3 ballista bolt marks too..... I guess it would have been better if we payed more attention to that hole in the mountain....Or..."
He sighs and lowers his head
"....Or if I didn't suck and did my job of protecting them all...."

Doth just walks away from the table and calls a nearby Earth pony wearing chainmail
"Find Commander Dirtstone, deliver the orders to send more ponies to patrol the south, that area has been overlooked too much. Also find Whitestone and Ironblade, tell them they're to go with 2 of Dirtstone's squads back to the east and track anypony that could have escaped that way, and to take him down when they find him"

The Earth pony nods and trots off

The yellow mare suddenly spots an oncoming party of ponies wearing chainmail, she tries to hide along the brown colt, but they're spoted too and the party comes pointing spears and swords. She draws a greatsword, while the brown colt is just scared and walks backwards slowly.

"s-s-.....Sis! Aisis! b-b-b-bad guys!"
The unicorn just becomes annoyed
"Mile! shut up! draw your sword already if you wanna stay!"

Mile just draws what looks like a small shortsword, still shivering, but when the party gets near and he's still shivering, Aisis just charges headlong into the crowd, sword in her mouth.

"This could easily be a clue. That 'x' is in Bridle Shores. But it isn't Shadowheart. It's somepony he's tracking."

"I vote sooner, then we can get to the afterwards," Esmeralda said, nuzzling the back of his neck. With one final flick of her tail on his one remaining wing, she rose and levitated the cloak Icy always wore whenever she's outside. "Shall we?" she said, clapsing the cloak around her head.

He looked at her with a slight smile
"Yeah, I got after arriving at night *sigh* It tires so much I still feel it right now...."

The spearponies try to evade, but still one a plate piercing his helmet and gets sent flying away (a bit like this ), the wound on his face is kinda large and the strength of the hit sends him into dreamland, the helmet is stuck on the plate; the rest of the ponies back off to evade the plates, one of them jumps on top of the other and then jumps to Aero, trying to hit him with the spear, while the other one charges from the ground.

Aisis then charges at the 3 spearponies and 2 sword ones on front of her, while 2 swordponies approach menacingly to the scared Mile, that's still shivering and walking backwards.

Strangely, that hug felt great too.
"I didn't really do my best.....My parents would still be around if I did...."

What good is money if you can't have everything you want right when you want it?

She sat down on the side opposite him on the bench. Those beanbags were ungodly uncomfy to her for whatever reason.

"I'll have a scotch on the rocks, Astrid will have..." he glanced at her and sheepishly smiled recalling their incident that involved wine. "Well, she'll have a apple cider if you have it." He looked at the benches and...bean bag chairs. Hauh, not quite what he would have chosen for dining room seating but he wondered if it was because of the bean bag chairs she probably saw in the lounge room. He politely took a seat on a bean bag chair, good for relaxing, not that spiffy for eating at a table.

"A nice place you got? Have you already got the matching harem to go with it?" He said jokingly with mirthful laughter.

In the meanwhile, the two black suit/sunglass sportin stallion earth ponies stood outside the doorway to the dining room, just standing there like guards just because. The unicorn one stood behind Balboa ready to levitate things for him.

A single drop of blood fell into the pool of water.

The red mixed with the clear, forming into a light crimson shade only briefly before the smaller amount was consumed and spread by the waves of the larger mass.

It was a small pollution of the natural state. It was brief, barely so much as a blink. It was such a tiny change, the ripple from the collision lasting less than the change itself.

But it was enough.

"Olyeth. Ceyrada. 'Nithros."

The single ripple spread again. To the very edges of the pool, forming images barely a half-second in interval. But for her, it was enough time.

Zaros, Rigmund and Snowstorm were searching, confused. Safe.

Daniel was wandering, happy, normal for him. Safe.

Taylor was confused, shocked...blood? His own? No. Safe.

Moonshine was at her home, she was sure. She did not even have to check with magic, they had conversed only a few hours ago. Safe.

But who she was really seeking...

"Little sister..."

A tear joined the blood. It all seemed so hopeless. How long had she looked? How long would she continue to fail? She was being selfish, she knew that. She had friends, wonderful friends. They were risking their lives to help her. But she only cared about one pony, the one pony her magic had not been able to find. Blackness. She knew that in all likelihood she was dead, and that was the cause.

But no. It wasn't a natural failure. Her spells were being blocked. By what, she didn't know. But anything that could block her was powerful enough to warrant more forces. Her friends. And when she found her, her foalnapper...

Then what?
