Jikkajak charges the gnome, but misses with his chain. The gnome swings his club at Jikkajak, but he ducks under the blow. Deliah moves over to him and tries to stick her dagger into him, slashing him across the face.

Other than the handaxes, the gnome has a wooden club and a buckler. Deliah takes a good look at the buckler and straps it onto her arm. Beyond the white uniforms, you find nothing.

To make it clear I wan to go check out the joke and I started moving that way regardless of what deliah and co. Do

Deliah: "Sure, might as well, maybe we'll find more people to eliminate... By the way, nice hammer-work there!"

Jikkajak: "Maybe we'll get lucky and some people are trapped in the fire."

They get behind you, ready to follow. You all are moving south when you come across the site of a small brushfire. A winged white room sits in the middle of the clearing, as does a male red half-dragon. He's looking directly at you as you approach in the jungle.

" ho there lad! Be y friend or foe?"
I ask readying an action. Charge if he attacks any of us

Standing at only about 5'6", this half dragon is a bit shorter than the average for his race. however, he appears to boast all the power normally heard from in such blood mixtures. Multiple wolves, each sporting charred and burned fur, lay in odd position from a small, oddly shaped crater. The smell of burnt flesh and hair permeates the air. A dead gnome lays a few feet behind the Half dragon, apparently killed by the wolves. The most unusual thing about the appearance of this half dragon, as far as their kind goes, is actually the raven atop his shoulder. Sporting golden eyes and a peculiar beak, it is clearly not bothered by anything that's going on right now.

"Well, well, I wasn't expecting an audience, at least not so soon. Allow me to introduce myself. I call myself Ignus, a user of the arcane arts. You should lower your weapons, I really have no desire to fight you right now. I only killed these wolves around here because they attacked without regard to their own safety; I would rather you learn from their error."

As he introduces himself, Ignus gives a small bow. "I suppose the column of smoke attracted you, yes?"

"aye that it did. and i must say that you did a fine job on those wolves...for a nondwarf." i say lowering my hammer grudginly and motioning at the others to do the same

"deliah why dont you go search that gnome there he might have something good"

"now anyway what is it you're doin out here lad?"

Deliah and Lothbrok stow their weapons away.

Deliah: "He's definitely only got a uniform, and I don't think our new friend would appreciate me searching his ally's body anyways..."

"same thing as you, I imagine. The gnome's gear is already packed up with me, what wasn't destroyed by the wolves. serves him right, i suppose, trying to take on an entire wolf pack while I was gathering the last of the chain."

As he shifts, you can tell that he's got quite a lot of chain packed into his second chest, monogrammed with his name.

"Still, It's high time I left this room. what say you all join me, and we see if we can't work our way out of all this nonsense?"

"a bloody good idea! i like the look of ye man alot better than the damn elfling we had before."

"now these two here" gesture at deliah and co. "say they know where some folks we can kill are hiding so i say we follow them to a proper fight and see what you are really made of. eh?"

Ignus reacts to that line of reasoning by staring at you without twitching a muscle for nearly 25 full seconds before saying, "I see....well, a bit of dumb muscle is often helpful enough. Not really general grade, though. But I wonder...what of you two?" Looking over Jikkajak, he says, "Yes, you look like you've something to offer. Quite a bit, at that. And the lovely lady doesn't look like a stand up fighter. Perhaps you've some skill with subterfuge, or are your abilities less obvious? either way, I'll not deny that I could use more people of any caliber at my side, and you three seem quite fine. The dwarf seems willing enough, but what of you? Will you join me?"

[DuSlaanesh]

Deliah: "Sure! I just want to get out of here and continue my travels, and I'd love to have a strong companion like you around if you'll help us survive!"

Jikkajak: "The voices in my head like you, so sure."

[Provengreil]

"Alright then." Pointing to the southeast, he says, "Those mountains over there look to be a good place from which to get a view of the land. if we go there, we may be able to pick out a better direction to head off in. Let's get going."

'eh...i've been called worse. last guy called me stumpy, the bastard. anyway i like your plan, lets go!"
