Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
It looks not bad at all. I have two major recommendations. One, as you mentioned, it's way too tall. Take a look at some other oots avis and shorten the body and limbs to more closely match that. Two, thicken most all the lines a bit. Those two things should be a big step in improving it. *nodnod*

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Yeah, I'll do that but I only get the energy to do stuff when I'm in class.
The reason why he is so tall is his character description. He is nearly 8 feet tall but i guess I have no choice on the matter.
Hey Harnel the dagger he is holding is from the hunting grounds. You have a better idea for it cause I just made a random dagger.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
My current one is a love making avatar.
Crude comments aside, is there a map of Nexus-world? Elanna needs to embark on a quest to find out more about a mysterious bard which will involve a trip to a city and possibly exploring a wasteland/ruins.
Maybe Spreagadh can tag along as well.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Noodle, if you're talking about the Louv're Mine plot I would recommend putting that plot on hold for now. I haven't seen hide nor hair of Rot in the past few weeks, and to be honest I kind of lost steam with it over the course of things.
That said, this is just one man's opinion. If Rot shows up out of nowhere and everyone else wants to continue, I'd be fine with picking up where we left off.
Sometimes plots just fall by the wayside, it happens in a setting as big as the Nexus.Julie, everyone's nth favorite succubus, by Gulaghar.
An amazing Misha, Mimi, and Riss painting done by Ofride.
For anyone in plots run by me, know that I always tailor solutions to those in the plot. The answer may not be obvious, but it's there, and doable by the displayed abilities of the present characters. If you need help or hints, I'll try to be available to provide them.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
To anyone with a gnoll character or in control of gnolls in general:
If you wish your character to be effected by this wish, feel free, the details will be up to you. Nephrim didn't specify what kind of wings or if they would even be able to fly with them so they could be made of steel-feathers and be used as shields for all I know.
The demons power is limited, basically it slowly built up energy during it's imprisonment to be able to grant one wish. So it will most likely not effect all gnolls.
Just throwing it out here.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Nexus cosmology droning powers GO!
The Nexus itself isn't a world, but rather a crossing point between innumerable worlds. Realities bleed together in the Nexus and the further one travels from the center of the Nexus (often times said to be Trog's Tavern, though this is understandably difficult to confirm) the more one enters one of the worlds which the Nexus touches.
If one travels far enough from the Nexus one will find themselves in an otherwise totally 'normal' reality that will probably be aware of those weird people who live Inside but shun them due to rampant insanity.Warning! Random Encounter™ detected!

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
C'nor: I would be willing to restart that scene again, yes. I'm not sure who's turn it is to post, however, and I haven't seen a post by iElf for quite a while.
In other news, I might be here tomorrow after all- I have a stomach bug and have applied for extenuating circumstances.
Also, Deadtime now. Goodnight, sleep tight and don't let the Questing Beast bite.Terrowin Avatar by HappyTurtle. Much thanks!

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Or put you under a geas... Questing Beasts are most unpleasant.
I believe it was iElf's turn, but considering that they seem to have gone back into permadeadtime, I think Mel'ara can be skipped, which would make it Harnel's.

Hey guys, like I said Internet is super restricted, and I may not be able to pursue a more serious roleplaying stance again until perhaps next week.
But for now, I can roleplay.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Except the Nexus is also a world too, given how many times someone has tried to destroy it, and WATCHTOWER's ongoing attempt to protect the damn thing. At the fact that it has a MagSat in orbit around it. And countless characters have also referred to it IC as a world.
So Nexus is a world that is also not a world.
Or if you want a less paradoxical interpretation: "Nexus? **** that ****, I'm getting pizza."Last edited by Ashen Lilies; 2012-05-22 at 08:18 PM.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Kris, Nexus, much like the Town before it, is not a world. It is a REALLY FREAKING BIG city that we generally consider to include the surrounding area. And it is considered the only noteworthy thing on the planet it is on. Ergo, you can destroy Nexus without destroying the planet, it's just hard to be that precise.
I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
No, you can't destroy the Nexus. Unless you got unanimous consent from all the players who would be affected, it'd be godmodding.
My avatar! Isn't it just utterly diabolical? Ashen Lilies made it!

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Nope!
The Nexus existed before the creation of Inside, and if Inside were to suddenly fall into a black void of doomful nothingness, there would still be more than enough Nexus left over to go around. AMEN, GLoG, Watchtower, Riverside, and plenty of other terribly important landmarks, organizations, and other stuff is completely separate from Inside. Of course, in spite of all of that, Inside still happens to be very important, and is more or less the center of everything, but it's much less important to the Nexus than the Town was to the Town.

Re: [Nexus] OoC XXXI
Are you guys seriously trying to explain an insanity and a paradox? The Nexus is just a really big place with life threatening adventures and dangers.
