"Oh. A goddess? That sounds pretty cool." Gerri takes another bite of ice cream and then realizes... "Either really cool or really, really bad."

Brianna laughs at that. "At least my dad isn't Zeus. Being proof of someone cheating on the goddess of marital fidelity sucks.

Nah, mum's nice. The Tuatha are all fairly decent, even if the Morrigan can be creepy at times."

Sakura just stares at the man blankly for a moment. She thinks she knows what he's saying, but maybe she should ask to make sure... "I'm not sure I know what you mean. I don't really know what a reaper is or what reincarnating is."

In my world, a reaper is someone who helps death along and either reincarnates the person who died or sends them to heaven or hell. Reincarnation is....rebirth. When you die, if you're reincarnated you start a new life as something else. Sometimes you remember what you were before, sometimes not.

"Wait. So you're telling me these rabbits used to be people?" Sakura seems a bit alarmed by that. This definitely wasn't what she was expecting when she responded on the wall.

Morsvita shrugs I'm not sure if reapers really count as people but yes. They were. he doesn't seem alarmed at all.

"Still, I bet that's pretty crazy. You run around, fight... titans and titanspawn? And... I guess you have to hide the supernatural parts from people." Gerri continues to eat her ice cream. "How did you end up in the Nexus?"

"And you said some of them still remember that they used to be people?" Sakura asks. There's the issue right there. Having some pets around wouldn't be bad at all, but intelligent, thinking beings? That's another story.

Brianna smiles. "Not so much. For the most part, people don't want te believe the monsters are real. If the supernatural got revealed, I'd love it, but there isn't much we can do right now to prove it."

Then she shrugs. "Actually, my mum sent me here, just in case the Titans try something here."

"Oh, that's pretty smart. Of course, I guess they could be in here and no one would notice, given how crazy this place is." Gerri takes a few more bites of ice cream, distracted and now pondering what Brianna told her.

Erin's Emporium

A tall woman enters the store. She's very tall, with long red hair and her eyes are a shade of green that isn't quite human. She's wearing a long dark-coloured sleeveless dress that, out of the corner of the eye, starts wriggling and looks like a swarm of beetles making the shape of a dress. In her right hand she carries a staff of baobab wood, and her left arm has turned into a pike, with the jaws and head where her hand should be, gills, fins and scales gradually fading into human skin around her elbow.

The Kindly Old Lady behind the counter looks up and smiles. "Good afternoon, dearie. Can I help you find anything today?"


[Erin's Emporium - Dorota's Lab]

...she's behind the counter because Crissy is heading to the lab (possibly plotcloned from golemancy). She WILL knock before entering, though. So as not to barge in and interrupt SCIENCE! in progress.

"Yes, you can. My normal weapon is this staff, which I can't use at the moment because my left arm is a fish. So I was wondering what one-handed weapon you could recommend for me to use?" As she says the line 'my left arm is a fish', she brandishes her pike-hand which obligingly snaps.

"Oh dear. We do offer wands of Remove Curse, you know," the Kindly Old Lady says. "And we do offer a number of one-hand weapons, both conventional and prothestic kinds. Do you have any preference as to the sort of weapon? Projectile, energy, elemental or magical?"

"Why would I want to get rid of it? It's adorable. And it has teeth. I'm more used to non-magical melee weaponry, but I haven't trained for anything beyond staffs and spears. Unfortunately, they're primarily two-handed weaponry, and I no longer have two hands. I think a projectile weapon might be useful; my fish can be used in melee, I suppose, and I'm supposed to avoid physical conflict whenever possible." The pike aggressively eyes the Kindly Old Lady.

Brianna leans back, finishing her ice cream. "I'm not the only Scion here. There's another- Sophia Holt, a Scion of Tyr. And she's a lot better at keeping an eye on things than I am."

Dana's Place

"Well, it's always nice to have... friends around?" Gerri realized halfway through the sentence that Brianna didn't actually say they were friends. That's not even a reliable guess... they might only barely know each other, or Sohpia could be rude or some such.

Gerri's working on her ice cream, but she got a lot of it so she'll be a bit yet.

Brianna grins. "We don't know each other that well, but we've met and got on pretty well, so, yeah, friends. And Sophia's an Aesir Scion- they're all bloody good people to have watching ye back."

"Ah. Well, in that case, might I interest you in the Traveller Particle Magnum? It does have a significant kick one-handed, but it can be fitted with a harness that can magically unstrap and restrap when you draw it," she explains. Kindly!

"That's good! It's always nice to have someone you can rely on." Gerri smiles back, then notices that her ice cream is melting! she goes about eating it, because she spent good money on this amazingly delicious bowl of ice cream, and she's going to enjoy it!

"Oh, my. That's quite the beastie, isn't it? I'll take one. How much is it?" And now the coolest gun in the Cult of Dalachrech is no longer the customised automatic pistol with the flintlock-style grip carried by Terrowin.

Gerri finishes the ice cream quickly enough. "Sorry, I don't like having to drink the last bit of ice cream, you know?"

"Anyway, how is it going, moving into the nexus? I guess it wouldn't be too jarring, since you're somewhat used to weird stuff." Gerri gathers up her trash and heads toward one of the trash cans.

Brianna nods. "Biggest thing is... not used to seeing friendly giants. Most of the ones I've seen before have been Titanspawn."

Dana's Place

"Yeah. Don't worry, you'll get new stuff to gawk at soon enough. I've lived here my whole life and I keep seeing surprising things." Having thrown her stuff away, she walks out into the mall... oh crud, what does she do next?

Near Dana's Place

Gerri may be too distracted by her own plight, but if she's not she may notice that quite near her table a little tuft of disarrayed hair can be seen moving carefully through the foodcourt, the only thing visible over the tabletops in the way of her line of sight to someone fairly short. At least it's the only thing to be seen until the little whoever-it-is bumps into a table headfirst, groaning quietly before reaching up with a tiny child's hand and steadying itself against the table, continuing on while dragging its hand along the table gently.

Gerri notices the small person bump into a table. "Oh, are you okay there?" she says, as she moves a bit to get a better look at the whatever it is.
