The Tiefling, realizing that he is needed right now, runs as fast as he can to the room. After turning the corner, he realizes how dire the situation is and needs to do his best to gain control of it so that his ranged companions can do their best at killing Drakon. "Focus on this one guard first!!", he yells, directing everyone to attack one guard before moving on to the other.

Infernion

The little Dragon roars right back at Drakon, giving no ground. He crosses the two rods of power in front of him and vomits forth a globe of burning red and dripping green. It launches only ten feet before detonating, coating Drakon and his cronies.

As Mai studied the dragon and watched her companions facing off against him, she understood that even though Drakon was a rather myopic red he was still extremely dangerous and they would need some way to limit his advantages. So she changed tactics, drawing her electricity back into herself while she concentrated keenly on her foe.

Then, with a wave of her arms she conjured an electrified, translucent sphere around all three of her foes, attempting to bind them together into a shared vision of ruin, one only they could see.

"There! It won't hold long, but as long as it does they can't leave or see out if it, so hit them with all you've got!" she yelled, hoping it would at least reset the balance of the battle.

Unlike before, Drakons attack managed to leave two nasty wounds on the swordsman despite his best efforts to avoid the attack. Inwardly, Durandal winced from the pain, but his demeanor remain unruffled and his mask uncracked.

"Dragon's claw. I have one of those too you know."

And just like that, the plain (by the standards of its peers at least) but deadly looking blade that had been lying neglected at the edge of the battlefield now rested in his hands.

"And now is not the time to get distracted Drakon, lest I spill your blood across the ground."

Durandal in fact does what he intended, crazy as it is, and makes Drakon come after him. He then slashes at him as soon as he gets into reach, slicing a small slash in the side of the dragon, only enraging him more.

Bloodied and still dazed, the Dragonborn soldier slashes at all he can reach.

She begins chanting a prayer to Chauntea, calling the dragon to calm down and stop this, but she can quickly tell that his soul isn't about to budge. Drakon's probably raised ignoring signals from his conscience to an art form.

"You are likely not paying attention, if you can even make out what I am so boldly claiming. No matter. The Mother's wrath, however gentle, is not so easy to brush off."

She's at least right about that. The dragon can't seem to shake the feeling that he's just been put in an irrefutable Time Out.

Petra continues monitoring the situation, saving her potent healing prayers for when the other shoe drops.

Coming out of his daze, the dragonborn realizes what it going on and taking a cue from his counterpart, also swipes for the enemies in front of him. As well as takes a deep breath and opening his mouth, breathes fire on those in front of him. In the midst of the flames, he directs his companion to move to the ranged combatants.

Durandal's eyes sharpened at the disappearance of the Red. For once, his mockery was halted as he strained for any sign of Drakon's reappearance. It was nevertheless, and opportunity. Dashing forward, Durandal picked up his shield with a roll and charged at the nearest dragonborn. A solid blow with his shield amidst a flurry of strikes sent the guard stumbling.

Healing word: Virgil in particular can spend another healing surge and get +(4d6+12)[1][5][6][6](30) HP. He also gets +6 to all defenses until the end of Petra's next turn, so he can pretty well take these guys on.

As he steels himself to reenter the fray for the last time, he feels a wash of energy over his body, rejuvenating him. Petra activates her Amulet and looks around for Drakon, determined to find him. Then, to her surprise, she sees him charging from BEHIND her! He lets out a great roar and peers at Infernion. Then he opens his maw and spews forth fire from his belly. He burns everyone, and even his own guard gets engulfed in flame, and all that is left is a smoking husk of a dragonborn.
