Re: Ooze (Interactive)
New update, are you afraid of the dark? Bring Friend-Fluff and the candles inside.
Spoiler
You carefully enter the chapel, carrying your friend-fluff with you.
Nothing dramatic happens. You hear a slight hiss as your heated body moves across the damp stone floor. If there was something nasty in here before, it's somewhere else now.
Your focus is attracted to a small alter at the end of the aisle.
For reasons you don't quite understand yourself, you place Friend-Fluff on the alter along with the candles. It's better than leaving them outside you guess. At least they're protected from the elements..
A grim thought strikes you.
What happensifWHEN the candles burn out..? Are you going to have to find new ones? Where? How much time do you have? How are you even going to find any around here? What happens when Greg finds ou-

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
New update, contains up to 2% processed dolphin meat - Greet the box
Spoiler
You politely greet the box and ask it how it's doing.
You receive no immediate response save for the static hissing from the screen.
A familiar face appears.
"You shouldn't watch these things too much, droplet. They strain your eyes and some of the programming is morally questionable to say the least."
"It could be.. unhealthy."

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
Hmm... The Antenna. When they got moved in the first encounter, did not the screen crack a little? Stay to the front, ignore the screen, and
wigglebend the daylights out of them. If it's evil it'll wreck up the place if you don't stop it.
If you can get out of this, maybe looking for the thing that was animating the dolls would be a good idea.

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
New update, I don't actually have anything against Tv's. Some of my best friends are TV's. - bend the antennas
Spoiler
You rush towards the TV and grab onto an antenna.
You fall off the back of the box as it tips over, unbalanced from your tackle.
*Crash*
The screen cracks in several places, and a familiar string of angry sounds emanate from inside.
*Crackle*
The broken glass is pulled aside shard by shard, as the emotionally volatile creature inside claws it's way out of the otherwise hollow box. It'll only take a few more moments now for it to get out.

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
Ummm, would it not be wise to see what comes out of the TV first? It's all very well yelling "Dinner Time!" and attacking and then it turns out to be something that can nom us. I'm not saying run away but a note of caution would be smart given that it's ripping through broken glass with its bare paws.
Adopt a defensive position behind the TV, see what comes out.

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
New short update, in accordance with international standards - Get ready for the fight
Spoiler
You back off slightly towards the exit and put on your best game face as you take a defensive stance in preparation for the incoming tussle.
However, your motivation may have been wasted. Despite having broken an opening to the outside world, the creature doesn't exactly seem too motivated to leave it's container.
You aren't sure if it can see you, but it's asking for you in a rather flattering manner.

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
I would be convinced your account had been hacked.
Now, take a moment to reflect upon my forum name and consider whether waltzing into the loving embrace of whatever's in the box is a good idea. Especially, and I feel this is a point worth re-iterating, it's ripping through broken glass with its bare paws. I don't mind a few light scratches in the throes of extreme passion but I think this'd be taking the idea too far.
Use our gelaninous charm to encourage them to leave the box.

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
Kill it. Remember the first encounter with it? It politely asked for a stick, then made it known that it could zap the ooze using it. This is just another ruse so kill it.
And the ooze is full of boiling liquid, yes? I wonder if it has any sort of steam like offensive ability? If so then that T.V. just became an oven.

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
Swf (flash) version
I need to figure out a better way to make .gifs. Flash has absolutely awful quality for exported gifs. I'd usually export the loops as flashes, as flashes offer the best quality. But they can't be embedded on Gitp and I don't want to have to make you guys click a link every time I make an update with something that moves.
So I usually just draw each frame in Flash and make a timeline in Photoshop out of all the single images. Problem is how slow all the gifs turn out since I can't just set everything to move at 24 fps in ps like I can in flash.
Although I managed to get this one to run smoothly with flash, but it's lost some of it's quality in turn. [/rant]Last edited by Tiffanie Lirle; 2013-02-02 at 01:09 PM.

Re: Ooze (Interactive)
Updating now, since I won't have time tomorrow - Smoothly try to lure it out
Spoiler
You acknowledge your presence to the creature and nervously ask it if it would like to come out of it's box-
..so you can gaze into it's beautiful amber eyes, of course.
Maybe you could go grab a snack together or something? Watch the sky together for a while, see what happens, ya know?
The Tv starts bouncing around as a gleefull squeak eminates from inside.
It agrees to come out.
Just hold on, it needs to freshen up first.
....
*Krsscch*
Huh. Well how about that.
Silently, you wonder why everything you love turns out to be a giant spider.
