"It doesn't matter if I lose any of the chain. The second time saying the word is to undo me doing the first. My gauntlets return to normal. It's quite useful when your job is going after dragons."
She looked at Cessie and nodded.
"You're correct. The runes are symbolic, and we combine them for more intense, intricate effects. In fact, these runes used to be the language they used. So much of my culture is written in the runes, it's maddening to translate all of it."

"Do these words allways have an effect or only if you concentrate?"

It seems Mia is now a bit more intressed.

"And how many runes is it in your alphabet?" Cessie asks in turn.

Kari looks at Mia.
"As I said, the runes also run off the user's intent. If their intent is to simply say the words, there's no effect."
She looked at Cessie.
"Our Elders say that there's a rune for everything under the sun, but the exact number is unknown. My own vocabulary is large, and to write every rune I know would take you just as long to write every word you know. The runic language is my second language, and I am fluent in it."

"That sounds reliable. I only wonder if a dragonblood would be able to help you with the language."

Not sure if dragons from other worlds could really help her.

"I was expecting you to jump for joy." Sakura says with a silly grin. It's clear enough that she's just kidding.

[Courtyard]

"At least some surprise." The sorceress says with a dismissive gesture, trying her best not to look amused by Sakura's awful jokes.

[Courtyard]

Harnel smiles, "Yes, well, knowing your love well enough to guess seems like a good thing to me."

[Gullara]

[Courtyard]

Sakura smiled to herself. The question was now, would Adir pick up on her own deception. They'll have to wait to find out.

Sakura laughs a little bit at Harnel. "Oh, you're gonna try and play it like that are you?" She says jokingly. "Don't fall for it, Cessie."

"I just don't understand why it would so hard to believe after these years." She had put on some interesting clothes during this marriage after all. "I blame the earrings, sometimes I think they are more trouble then they are worth."

Living Room

"My husband didn't mention it and he's of dragon blood. I believe he befriended your grandmother while she was staying at Watchtower." Cessie comments.

[Halae]

[Courtyard]

Harnel grins, "Yep. Definitely the Earrings," He looks Cessie up and down, "though I must say, I do approve."

[Gullara]

[Courtyard]

Sakura giggles at Harnel. "No way." She gives him a silly grin. "I think it looks really good on her. She really should wear stuff like that more often." She says, entirely his honestly.

Cessie smiles and shakes her head, "I don't get why everyone is obsessed with bare skin. It must be a cultural thing. Is it really such a desirable thing?" Other cultures were so silly.

Harnel shrugs, "It's more what the bare skin hints at, and then lets the imagination work. Then, sometimes, the designs are just more comfortable, or better looking, with a piece missing."

"Adir sure likes bare skin, but that's not the main reason I wear what i do. If it was just for him he'd like it best if I wore nothing at all." Silly Adir is so easy to please. "I just like me clothes not so heavy and stifling." She says with a shrug. That's how Cessie approved clothes feel to her at least.

The sorceress laughs, "I personally would prefer tight clothes before revealing ones. I like to see clothes as a part of my identity." She reaches out to touch Harnel's cheek. "What about you, love? What do clothes mean to you?"

[Halae]

[Courtyard]

"To me, clothing is about comfort and style. Style can be shirked if you're not going out in public, but the way I see it, if you're not comfortable, you shouldn't be wearing it," Harnel will place a hand over Cessie's, still smiling.

[Courtyard]

"So the main reason you approve of these clothes is because they look comfortable, is it?" The mage asks her husband, sounding rather amused.

[Halae]

[Courtyard]

"No, because you look good in them. As I said, style and comfort; getting you comfortable in them is the first step." Harnel grins a bit wider.

[Gullara]

[Courtyard]

"I dunno about that. If comfort's so important, how about you wear one of her dresses for a while and see how comfortable it is?" Sakura says with a wry grin. She discounts that Cessie might find them perfectly comfortable.

The sorceress laughs at Sakura's suggestion. "I'd like to see that actually, it comes to me that you never actually worn Hestopian clothes Harnel, not even at our wedding."

[Halae]

[Courtyard]

"I'm of the mind that dresses are for women," Harnel says matter of factly, "So I'm only going to be in a dress if I'm a woman."

Harnel is using this as a defense, as Cessie will be able to tell. He knows she doesn't like that idea but... well, if she goes for this, he's kind of screwed, isn't he?

[Gullara]

[Courtyard]

"I think he's just afraid he'll look silly." Sakura says with a roll of her eyes. "Come on, Harnel. How about this. You can dress me up in something silly if you do it. Anything you want."

[Shadowcaller]

[Courtyard]

"You can always wear a robe Harnel, you know, like Arik? I have a few of those... though I must admit I rather would like to see you in a dress." She laughs again. "Yes, come on, you can decide what Sakura have to wear."

[Halae]

[Courtyard]

Harnel scratches his chin, moving towards the keep entrance, "You know, now that I think about it, I don't really understand why you wear such heavy dresses so much." An idea occurs to him! "Alright, pick out a couple dresses for me to try on. I'll meet you upstairs."

This can only end in sorrow.

[Gullara]

[Courtyard => Master Bedroom]

Sakura giggles as she follows along. "Great. We'll make sure to find you something pretty. Too bad Adir isn't here. We could have got him to wear one of my dresses." The dryad laughs and tries to grab Cessie's hand and pull her along. "Come on!"

"From what she has said, no one outside our world knew about our runes. So I doubt a dragonblood could help."
She looked at Cessie.
"Yes, I do believe he did. She spoke of how she sparred with him, and taught him some runes."

"I see. So what have you planned to do now?"

[Courtyard => Master Bedroom]

Cessie is pulled along. "I very much doubt he'll find anything in his size though." The sorceress comments, trying to be a bit serious about this most silly situation.

Living Room

"Oh? He have never showed me to be able to cast any rune-magic." Cessie says.

[Gullara]

[Master Bedroom]

Sakura laughs some more as she hurries Cessie along to the master bedroom. "Hm, there has to be something that fits him." She goes right for the closet. "Maybe we should get him one of your special dresses." She giggles.

Kari shrugged at Mia.
"I dunno. I was kinda planning on just going back home."
She shrugged at Cessie.
"Back in those days, it was believed that only we could cast the runes. So Katherine probably told him such. However, if he wanted to and could remember what he was taught, he could cast them."
She looked at Cessie and Mia.
"Any more questions?"

The sorceress shakes her head, "They really wouldn't fit him. I can't honestly think of any of my clothes that we could squeeze him into. Not without ruining the clothes completely at least."
