One reminder.

The only other fruit that right now has a colour is the purple smoky one.

The red, green and opalascent black remain a dull black colour.

There were two types of purple fruit.

The first type was firm and robust while the second more lustrous and appealing.

Which type did LG cut?

Another fortitude please. DC is 20... fail = 30 points of damage, succeed is 15.

As you consume this fruit your mouth feels sticky. A horrible pain starts from your mouth and all down your gut as the fruit descends and the poison/drug/essence of it fills your body.

This time you feel no ecstasy but rather do scream in pain (will save dc 20 if you want to try and not scream) but the scream turns to the name of the Mad God that is so blessing you towards the end.

Purple being the favored colour of Tharizdun your eyes turn smoky purple and even your scales while retaining their green colour take a very soft purple tinge.

As you spit blood and the remains of the fruit, including a small purple seed, you feel that this change is not just cosmetic but that the Blessing of the God of Aberrations has left you more changed and powerful.

LG will examine the other three fruits to see if they've changed color.

They have in fact not changed color.

You also notice now that some time has passed since the system shocks you suffered that the seeds of the two fruits you eat, despite the different colour have a very similar smell.

It reminds you vaguely of aromatic incense used in churches.

Before risking further bodily harm, LG will take the two seeds and go back to the first room he investigated.

The room is unchanged and nothing occurs on the way there...

LG will search real quick to make sure that there's nowhere to put his seeds. If not, he'll go back to the fruit trees and try picking a new set of the three fruits left.

You do not find anything additional in this first room.

However on your way back to the room with the trees you notice that behind the rubble of the tree you destroyed there is some kind of small device.

On close inspection it appears to be some form of censer.

LG will put the blue seed into the censor.

The seed fits in the censers hole. There is only space for one right now.

Its suprising that you even find small coal at the bottom of the censer in order to light it.

LG will light it using the flame augment on his staff.

A soft sweet greyish smoke starts pouring out from the censer.

[planswalker]

LG will take this smoking censor to the central room...

The grey smoke spreads around the room neatly and settles on the floor... it is fairly strange that it takes that position and doesnt slowly go up in the air of the room...

"Okay, what next?" he asks the room in general, hoping for a response.

Once again there is no answer.

You cant help but thing though that if you are indeed as close to the end as you might think, considering the fact that this area is even past the final sanctum and resting place of the priesthood and bears inscriptions denotating the importance of these 3 rooms that its most likely a ritualistic thing that you need to complete to progress further.

Obviously if it was just a matter of doing 1 thing to release the Mad God they would have done it... hence using what you know to already be sacred items of Tharizdun might help...

I'm sorry, but this thing has stumped me. I can't figure out what I even CAN do at this point, much less what I will have to do to progress.

mind refreshing me on what I've already discovered/figured out? To me, all I know for sure is that I can't afford to eat any more fruits.

Basically if you remember the inscription there was a room (the shadow demons) where Tharizdun puts those he punishes for they have failed him (see trapped demon).

The other room is were he rewards his servants when they are worthy (the room with the fruits... the pain you have from there is minimal if you consider you got 2 permanent stat points...)

The last room has the inscription that the chosen may come before HIM.

Now you know that this whole temple was constructed as a temple to him and everything was showing him respect. From the purple colours, the special rituals, the sacrifices etc.

Hence you can imagine that to set in motion whatever needs to be set in motion in this room (which appears to be the final in a sense) you need to perform the whole ritual a high priest would to come as close to Tharizdun as possible.

Right now you have the following ritualistic items.

Masks and cloaks of the high priests.
Horn of Tharizdun (the one you used at the multi faceted statue)
The obsidian box that had the little rods.
The censer and seed from the plants
and lastly the small indentations on the walls of this place with upside down purple pyramid...

LG will inspect the indentations more closely to see if any of his ritualistic items match them.

You have already seen the weird behavior of the smoke that keeps coming out from the senser but you are suprised when you realise that the property of the smoke has become highly acidic.

Your shoes and lower parts of your clothes are slowly melting away eaten by the acid but given your resistance you are immune to the effects.

Basically its 2d6 every round but I think you have something like 15 acid resistance so nothing happens to you.

Three things have similar markings like those of the room. The robe and masks of the dead high priests and also the horn.

Resigned to the absolutely absurd thing he's about to do, LG will don the robe and mask and blow the horn. He'd been dearly hoping not to have to play priest dress-up.

[Monodominant]

The effect of the mask and robe becomes quickly obvious as the clothes seem resistant to the acid.

In your case this means little given that you are naturally resistant to it due to your draconic heritage but for a human with no such protections these cloaks would prove invaluable.

As you blow the horn you see the glowing floor brighten and begin to pulse. The dark, translucent purple grows brighter, lighter, transparent. It seems to rise slowly in a column, and around it is a curtain of white vapors, likewise rising slowly towards the ceiling of thechamber.

Against these fumes it is the mask that protects you as you suspect they are toxic or poisonous from the strong smell of ammonia and sulphur.

The room is starting to grow frigid!

To the point where you need to activate the resistance effect of your gear

You see a black pillar rising in the heart of the glowing, 20’ diameter beam of purple. As this black shaft touches the ceiling, the white vapors thicken and make vision of the whole obscure...
