Vo probably is taller, yes; Naera is at most a little taller than Nycca.

Naera smiles happily, gently nuzzling her cheek.

((Would Nycca and Vo know Naera well enough to know what the '-veleen' stuff means?))

Then Nycca is probably aware that laesa-veleen means 'little sister', mahinsa-veleen is simply 'my sister', and jraena-veleen is 'big/older sister', translated literally. Would she also know the idiomatic usage of the terms?

Naera smiles back, and slowly goes to kiss the hollow of Vo's throat, though she seems a little wary of doing so.
