Karyana sighs, dropping the pinch of Arhtorvin she had been about to take back into the bowl, and stowing the whole thing back in her desk; much as she wants to use it, her friend deserves more than she can give while her emotions are numbed.

Carrie arrives, stumbling over to crawl into Karyana's lap.
She smells of scotch and her eyes are red and puffy.

Karyana gently strokes her wings and back, smiling reassuringly, if somewhat weakly, at Carrie and trying to slowly extract the alcohol, along with what it's broken down into, from her blood.

She'll be mostly successful, but then is left with a hungover goddess instead of a drunk one.
Carrie moans in discomfort, squeezing her eyes shut and hunching up more.

Karyana quickly blacks out the lights, and shuts off her heartbeat and breathing, doing her best to make things as painless for Carrie as she can.
