..starts with the saving of the Traditional English Bulldog which represents the manliness/vigor of England
--England starting the Boer war early
--which moves up the start of WWI
--both at accelerated tech levels(but with old school war dogs thrown in)
--later books have US rejoining the Pax Brittanica
---a worldwide communist insurrection against the british empire
---Gorillas being genetically engineered to Sentience
---intergalactic war vs everyone else

yeah...i dont really do it justice
the first book is a little rough since it was his first work of fiction, but the premise was interesting enough to get through any rough writing
--and it wasnt that bad since he has done many non-fic books on the subject of bulldogs

the authors name is Dave Putnam(though i found it easier to locate on Amazon by the title) published by Bulldog Press(self published basically)

there are currently 5 books in the series i believe

actually its not far off for the way the human/ape Pax Brittanica is in this series at the time we are evaluated by the threat team

--it is basically inter-planetary religion that the lil green men are coming to kill us so EVERYTHING is militarized..family cars are loaded down with mg's and missile launchers..all vehicles are required to operate with fusion plants and with backup internal combustion(because a basic strategy is to turn the sun of a star system into a repeating EMP generator if we cant take em technologically)

--one of the things the threat assesment mentions is that in both dominant species plus all the animals bred for war "the barbarians allow multiple strains of potentially lethal bacteria to LIVE in their mouths"

More realistically, I am aware of what I'm doing. It's removing the layers of shared context to the point that you get a more raw, unrefined erosion you can work with yourself. I go through great pains to understand the basal, cultural contexts people process things in. Expecting similar from those who understand the process is only natural. What surprises me is the exact point at which people just throw up their hands and tell me "color doesn't have feelings! Get a job hippy!".
