Keo blinks a few times. "What do you mean,m?" She isn't quite sure what to make of the question.

"Who makes sure you have food and clothes and somewhere warm to sleep? Who tucks you in at night and holds you when you're sad and kisses your hurts away?" Vasi asks.

"I hunt food for myself, and Julie gave me fresh linens so I don't need more clothes,m. And I just sleep whenever I want,m."

There isn't any kind of hesitation in her voice to imply lying, and there is a bit of pride when she mentions that she hunts herself, but most of that is said in a matter-of-fact voice.

"What's kisses,m?"

Vasi's heart lurches at the question. The poor little child. "If you were my little girl, I would hold you in my arms like this, and kiss you on the head like this." She does not pick up Keo to demonstrate. Instead, she mimes holding and kissing a child. "Did you have a mother back where you came from?"

Keo watches the mime, and comes to the conclusion she has no idea what it is. "I have a mum,m! She let me sip milk until I could hunt,m. My first hunt was a field mouse,m! She was proud,m."

"What did she do after you got big enough not to need milk? Did she still stay close to you?" Vasi asks.

"Yes'm. But she was always either a soonmum or was taking care of her new kits,m. When I became a youngling I was training and playing with the hunters,m." Once again, said like this was completely normal. She doesn't seem to find any of this unfortunate or sad. "Why aren't there any hunters training the younglings here,m? It's very odd,m."

"Do you think you'd want to learn magic some day?"
Justin asks. He asks it pretty nuetrally, keeping his personal distaste for it to himself.

Brinika shakes her head.
"I'm not sure if I would, but it takes special talent to learn magic. And I don't have it. I think I'll stick to music and dancing and stuff."

"Not everyone will grow up to be a hunter here," Vasi says. "Do you like hunting?"

"No,m. I don't think so,m. I'm not hungry or thirsty or tired,m. Oh-" Keo looks down at the dice in her hands. "I was going to roll my luck dice,m!"

I don't think she quite understands the question.

Keo will show Vasi the dice again. They aren't very fine-detailed, but they should work more or less. Each one has four blank sides, one X, and one O on the opposite face.

Keo shakes the dice a bit, and then throws them up into the air. They fall back to the table, but instead of going everywhere they line up in a straight line. It's obviously not natural for the dice to do so... they all landed a good ways apart but still managed to line up.

"So, for a while now I've had an issue where if I was exposed to fairy magic I would begin to turn into a pixie... wait, Julie probably explained this to you since I was around for several days helping with the kids. Anyway, on a different occasion I wound up rather... pixie brained, and in that time I decided it would be a good idea to pull an all-nighter to make up the time I had been missing at work. And apparently I wound up writing a true AI? I haven't messed with it much, but it's oddly thoughtful." Kate opens up her laptop and opens up a program. It has a blank black screen, and a simple > for input. Copi immediately moves so that she can see the screen better.

Eric scratches his chin, before moving over to the computer. if Kate lets him, he'll type into it thusly:

yes, he does make a typo, but hits enter before he catches it.

Reinholdt collapses in bed for a while, making a mental note to change the sheets later. He lies there quietly for a few minutes before reaching over and pulling out his drawer to get the purchases from that Haemonics to sip while he rests.

The half-elf sorceror isn't bad at all. A bit of a spicy kick to it. Better than the bland stuff.

The werewolf blood tastes terrible though. Far too bitter and tangy full of unwanted adrenaline. Ugh.

He pauses at the smurf blood though, looking at it. A part of him felt that this would be wrong in so many ways. A stronger part of him was thirsty after being so wounded. But most of all, he was curious. Just a little, insatiably so, curious.

Reinholdt sips it gently. Licks his lips.

That was... the... best thing he's ever tasted in his entire life. That perfect level of sweet without being overly so. Before long he's downed the whole thing and is desperately jamming his tongue in the bottle, trying to get more. More. Just a few drops more. Oh gods that was sooo good.

The elf, despite being unconscious, is still alive! His blue skin is quite pale, though with blue skin it might naturally be that way. Although it isn't.

Quinn nods, kneeling next to the elf and frowning. "Do you know what sort of poison affected him?" she asks, before starting with the catchall: Neutralise Poison.
