Just because there's more of them doesn't mean you should go looking for trouble, nor does it make their opinion any more valid. Ultimately, no one should ever stop you from doing what you want to do with yourself, be it liking whatever you want or setting whatever goals you have for your life. And it's a shame if you genuinely let yourself be bogged down that way. I feel sorry for you for your situation.

I assumed a playable version would be made and released with the 6 heroes first, and since they're looking for Voice Actors for the last 1 (or 2, I don't remember if they settled Fluttershy's or not), and have an updated Stage Theme for Rainbowdash (that is amazingly awesome), it shouldn't be too much longer.

Personally, I'm hopefully for a Christmas Release.

Scootaloo, Applebloom, and Sweetie Bell are the Cutie Mark Crusaders; basically kids (fillies, if you prefer the correct term) who haven't yet discovered what their "special talent" is yet so that they can get their cutie marks. There are a couple of episodes focusing on their wacky hijinks on their quest to do such. Scootaloo is a pegasus who can't fly very well.

I've mentioned before what I call my "insatiable curiosity". I want to know everything. Upon finding something interesting, my immediate thought is "how and why does that work". I don't care if it has practical application somewhere else, though that's a nice bonus; I just want to know it. I live for "huh, that's neat" moments.

On the contrary, I examine everything and dissect it as well. I just, utopia know, always have a way to apply it. I enjoy achieving things.

... Dear Celestia what have you ponies done to me.

I no longer feel emasculated by the use of the words 'ponies', 'Pinkie Pie', 'Cutie Mark'... the list goes on. I have a tiny Fluttershy who perches on my computer and helps me be a better person. Half the jokes and references I make are to FiM (with the occasional 'shoo be doo, shoo shoo be doo' thrown in).
The other half is Homestuck, but that's neither here nor there...
I've actually started applying the 'love and tolerate' philosophy, although I'm still terribad at it. Fluttershy needs to help smooth down my berzerk buttons some.

And, finally, it's gotten to the point where Smile Smile Smile cheers me up more efficiently than almost anything else.

And then there's stuff like the Great to be Different song that just wows me. How are you doing this?

I'd say end of this year or early next. They still have to do both Fluttershy and RD, but while RD's voice and theme suggest she's getting near to completion, FS hasn't really had any airtime yet.

I think the pegasi might be posing challenges from a moveset/balance point due to the need to incorpirate flying.

Howdy Rainbow Dash!

How have things been over in America? Me and my brother had barely got unpacked when they told us that we were assulting some alien base. It wasn't that hard. Full of those floater critters, so it was just a slow steady sweep to clear them all out.

Had a couple of close calls though. Big Mac got hit by a grenade but his power armor held up fine and I patched him up quick. Then an alien managed to sneak up on me and, believe it or not, Spike took him down! Now I know Twilight is going to be upset that I let him fight but that kid has got some serious aim. I only saw him miss a single shot this entire fight! We'd didn't try and take any prisoners this fight since high command has been wondering what point additional prisoners have. So they told us to not feel like we had to grab anymore aliens and to be more careful. One still survived though so we brought it back.

Our tank got pretty battered but it managed to hold together in the end. Took out a couple aliens too! Soarin was doing great today, but near the end things got a little sour for him. After Daisy chucked a grenade but a grav-lift, he went up to investigate. Well no less then three of the aliens were waiting for him. They hurt him pretty bad but he got one back in revenge. Daisy rushed in and finished off the remainder. We brought him back to base and the docs say it'll be a month before he fights again. Now I've got to decide who gets his autocannon. Spitfire's been eyeing it but she's still not strong enough.

I heard you got hurt pretty bad too. Hope your feeling better soon! Give my regards to Twilight and the Princesses as well! I'm going to have Applebloom transferred over to my base. I miss her too much and worry she'll get into trouble.

I forget how much you need.

Research on Elerium, UFO Navigation, Power Source, -> Construction -> Fighter Ship -> Fighter/transport -> Awesomeness Incarnate (paraphrasing a little there)
Alien Leader(Big ship, base(?)) -> Research
Alien Commander(Base) -> Research
Other Alien Commander's (?), I forget if it requires multiple or not.
The Final Solution -> Final Mission. (requires Awesomeness Incarnate)

That's assuming you ignore useful stuff; realistically you are not completing the game without better weapons and armor (Heavy Plasma highly suggested, Flying armor too), tanks probably, and psi-troops helps a lot too.

I've seen games into the hundreds of UFOs even. It depends on how prepared you want to be (Hint: Lots).

Very, very hard question to answer. Anything from 5 to 20+ hours, would be my guesstimate, depending on player experienced, how fast you are in ground missions, how much research you do, the random factor of what alien groups you end up facing the most...
