    Default Fey-Touched

    Fey-Touched

[Where an image would go, If I had one]

Personality: Like the fair folk, their anger is less a scale than it is an on/off switch. That said, unlike the fair folk, the won't get insanely angry over some minor detail or slight.

Physical Description: Fey-Touched appear to similar to the race of their non-fey parent, but usually more graceful and almost always have some unusual feature setting them apart.

Alignment: Fey-Touched tend toward Chaotic, thought the influence of the fair folk isn't sufficient to sway all of them away from law. A Fey-Touched might be swayed toward good or evil, by their fey ancestors presence in the seelie or unseelie court, but as either is possible, Fey-Touched as a whole don't bear a significant disposition toward Good or Evil.

Religion: Having no culture of their own (aside from the culture of the fey courts, which doesn't really count), Fey-Touched will tend toward whatever religions are present where they were raised.

Names: Fey-Touched are usually named by the non-fey parent, and as such are named as a member of their non-fey parents race.

    Fey-Touched racial traits
    • Medium: As Medium creatures, Fey-Touched have no special bonuses
or penalties due to their size.
    • Fey-Touched base land speed is 30 feet.
    • +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma: Fey-Touched tend to be agile and personable, like their fey ancestors, and their non-fey heritage provides them with a bit of durability fey tend to lack.
    • Fey Magic: Fey-Touched have access to a small amount of fey magic, which manifests itself as spell like abilities. They pick one of the fey spell lists. See Below for details.
    • Fey Trait: Fey-Touched almost always have some unusual ability as a result of their fey ancestry. Pick one fey ability from the list below. With DM approval, a trait or ability from off the table may be used.
    • Non-fey Trait: Fey-Touched also usually gain some other trait from the other side of their ancestry. Pick one racial ability from the seletion for the race of the non-fey parent below. In the case of the non-fey parent being of a race not listed, the DM may devise a trait for them. The Fey-Touched also gains x blood for the non-fey parents race.
    • Fey Blood: For all effects related to race, a Fey-Touched is considered a Fey.
    • +2 racial bonus on hide and move silently.
    • Immunity to mind-affecting effects.
    • Automatic Language: Common, Sylvan. Bonus Languages: Any (other than secret languages, such as Druidic). Fey-Touched are a diverse group, can could conceivably have learnt almost any language.
    • Favored Class: Bard
    • LA: +1

Additionally, they may pick any ability from the human or elf lists.

Half-Orc (note, half-orcs are special, can grant ORc Blood and human blood to the Fey-Touched.)
    • Darkvision 60 ft.
    • +2 Str, -2 Int and Cha
    • Or an option from the human List

    Halfling
    • Small Size
    • +1 on all saves, +2 vs. fear
    • +1 on attack rolls with thrown weapons and slings

Long story short, a friend of mine wanted to play a Fey-Touched in a game, but they're not worth the +1 LA they had (net +2 to abilities, immunity mind affecting effects, +2 on two skills, 1/day charm person). So I added a few abilities, and made the ability scores less suck.
They get a bit of magic, but never before the ECL it would be available, and only ever up to third level SLA.
I intend to add more races, more fey abilities, and more spell lists, but having got 3 fey abilities, 3 spell lists, and non-fey abilities for each Players handbook race, I figured it was a good point to post it, get some feedback, and maybe get some advice for further abilities.
