"I would prefer to stay as I am, that's how I fight best.
... You could change Krgg into elf though, would be an interesting sight to see." Answers Garrin with a smirk.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
Noru, Krgg declines your offer, for religious reasons, I believe. Also, I think he really wants to try out his new sword. Garrin also declines, as he feels that he fights best as he is. He does suggest turning Krgg into an elf, though.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
As Krgg hit the mannequin, a yellow flash of magic light came out of Foebane to strike the adamantine armor. The flash immediately turned into a mighty lightning that shot up to the sky, causing a loud boom, and incinerating the dirt in the backyard in a radius of about 10 feet.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
"I have no issues with that plan. Killing them is why we are here, after all."
I think Noru is currently using his bird to scout, so we might want to wait for him to report. It might also be good idea to plan this way, with me acting as a relay, to prevent any observers from learning our plans.
Gale recasts her daily buff spells.(fell flight, luck)

Re: The Invasion of Toril
Krgg
Krgg's face lights up with genuine amusement as the bolt of electricity fries the area. "Right y'are, elfling. Maybe we'll get lucky and one of 'em will come to see just what that bolt was, so Foebane can sing them a sweet lullaby!"Just in case, in any game I've applied to without being selected: DMs are more than welcome to use my submission as an NPC as they wish!

Re: The Invasion of Toril
Noru sends the bird off to find a fortifiable fall-back point. And shakes his head mournfully when anyone speaks aloud any tactical information. He begins a long casting.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
Looks like Noru saw 6 of the weaker enemies, the Zelekhuts, and one of the stronger ones, the Kolyurats. It also looks like I will be making us a new entrance. Noru, can you use your magic to seperate them, so we don't need to fight them all at the same time? And if he does so, keep out of the fog. I don't think us splitting up is a good idea, as it would allow them to focus on one group, and probably wipe it out. Either way, we should get moving
Gale starts heading towards the castle, intending to end up about 300 feet from the walls, and not near either gate.Spoiler: Current Character List:

Re: The Invasion of Toril
You see, through the bird, that there is no place near the wall that is easily fortifiable - all buildings are reduced to ruins and most walls are reduced to rubble, or broken anyway. The first suitable buildings are about one thousand feet from the walls (you are about half a mile away).
Edit: Gale arrives in position.Last edited by mucco; 2012-11-06 at 06:23 PM.

Noru climbs atop his phantom steed and trots along after, directing them to approach form the direction it seems they will least likely be seen from.
He then directs the bird to get him a proper aerial view of the castle.Last edited by Tharione; 2012-11-06 at 06:26 PM.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
The bird starts circling the castle at a height of about 300 feet.
You can see through the bird that the Kolyarut looks high in the sky. He then shouts something, and all the constructs enter the castle, leaving the door open.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
After the others arrive:
Now that we are here, I will make a hole in the wall. The enemies we will be facing are as follows.
Common traits: constructs; DR /chaotic; spell resistance; fast healing.
Zelekhut: flies, uses spiked chains.
Kolyarut: enervation ray, vampiric touch, invisibility.
Marut: his fists blind and deafen, and it is a lot stronger than the first two.
You four might want to get a bit closer to the wall, as I will start blasting from 250 feet out, advancing as I do so.Spoiler: Current Character List:

By the time Gale is at 60 feet from the wall, her lazor has caused a hole 15 feet wide, and tall enough for any large-sized creature.
SpoilerMap. Please everyone state the square you occupy, outside of the castle. I hope the map is clear - the circular structure is the castle, while the other reddish ones are other low buildings.

Krgg
Krgg marches towards the fight with relish, Foebane gripped confidently in his hands. He moves slower than Zavaariel, but with complete deliberance (is that even a word?).
Krgg will be in Leading the Charge stance (+11 damage for chargers who start within 60ft of him) and in the square at O35Last edited by Medic!; 2012-11-06 at 07:55 PM.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
@Noru
Spoiler
I did not mean to belittle your information, as it is quite valuable. However, in this case, we still need to attack, which limits our options. If they are in the fort, then we are probably better off, as they won't be able to fly, and we will. All we can do is to be prepared for the ambush.
If the planars did use an illusion of some sort, then I will need to be able to identify it.
(NOTE: Italics and bold are telepathy, italics are personal thought)
Gale will cast Detect Magic, and concentrate on it for now. Ignore magic on allies.
She will look around, turning in a complete circle, looking for anything unusual, before focusing on the gap in the wall.Last edited by Archmage1; 2012-11-06 at 10:30 PM.

Re: The Invasion of Toril
Noru kicks his Mount into high gear and rides it to atop the wall, casting a spell when he's roughly 50 feet away.
Spoiler
mount has 240' move speed and can air walk, shouldn't be a problem to get where its going.
can't fail the concentration check for double mounted movement casting on a 0th level spell.
no light centered on where he plans to land on the wall. which is adjacent to the holed wall section but far enough that the radius of darkness doesn't block anyone who would enter through theres vision.
Noru is invisible to darkvision. the horse is not.
