[Vampony Post-Fracas]

Sandy did not take kindly to Rainbow moving farther away, at least, as "not kindly" as he could get when high as a kite. He gave a playful moan - vaguely reminiscent of him saying, "Heyyyyyy" - mixed in with a short, thick cough, and pawed at the magenta pony with another spurt of energy. On his back, his short legs couldn't reach high enough to get a grip on her muzzle or shoulders, but Rainbow now had the potentially dying stallion frantically grasping at her.

Fun times!

(Note: Rainbow can easily wriggle free, Sandy is not exactly super-coordinated right now. She's only in danger of getting pseudo-grappled if she leans down and lets him get a grip)

[Silverpine/Gearstride/Staccata]

The vampony just looked at Staccata with expressionless eyes as then Silverpine and Gearstride approached with bloody tipped stake in mouth, how unsanitary.

Gearstride frowned at the vamp getting stomped on. The vamp doing the stomping moved down aside as Gearstride plunged the stake in the middle of her back, out of reach of hooves and teeth that may try to remove it.

Glurk and squish.

Silverpine turned away as the stake tore through flesh and bone. Twas' an unpleasant sight he did not want to watch. He would help Staccata up if needed, and asked, "You okay?"

The gears in the kelpie's mind spun. They are all wet and wooden so it took a while to start up.

The big pink stallion inhaled and exhaled deeply. "Maybe I should just calm down. But these last couple of day have been..."

"Och. Why don't ye just use a turn your injured into mice and carry them to their destination?" interrupted Lochbed.

Heavy Ale

Heavy Ale shrugged his shoulders and blew off the rejection as if he didn't care. "Hey. Just offering. A rouse of possession is a nice shield around these part."

Although it was the afternoon, Needle Alley looked as if it were dusk. The sky grayed over it, cared by the shiftiest of pegasi. The narrow street was dirty and dull. The ponies there were slow and blandly black as the shadows made them all silhouettes to hide their shames and villainy. Nothing but their eyes were highlighted but a display of sinister or regret could not be told by the looks on their faces.

"Is that your coltfriend, babe?" asked one.
"Spare a bit? I'm hungry." asked another.
"Favor for a fellow Equestrian?"

Almost in reflex Aubade inched closer to Heavy Ale and held onto his leg. She sheepishly smiled looking at the big stallion. "This...is such a horrible place....why would the town allow a place like this to exist?"

"Putting aside for a moment that what you just described seems very much like mixing oil and water...I need specifics. Names, elements, measurements, what you have left for supplies, something!"

He puts some pressure down on Sandy's flailing limbs to keep him from hurting himself and thinks...uh...harder.

"Weird is probably an understatement at this point," Silverpine said, making a face. It probably also the first time in years the Cirrus crew took such serious casualties. He craned his neck over to glance at Sandy and co. "Why is everyone crowding around Sandy?"

Ember stared at Lochbed blinkingly before breaking into a chuckle. "I don't think there are really that many ponies to do that, and then there's some folks who likely wouldn't like being turned into mice."

Big Bruce's jaw slid down and to the side. "What?"

"Ye know. If ye turn any other animal into a pony, they run away stressed and the magic breaks. But with mice, they stay calm and offer aid. Nice mice."

Heavy ALe looked down at Aubade with a stiff and confident face. "These ponies choose to have this place exist. It conceals them and their secret. If Songbird came here and stayed long, I fear the worse"

A larger colt with a bowler hat crept up to the pair. "Whadiya want? Hayze? Clooppers? A show? I know a mare.."

"No. Not any of those. Have ye seen this pony?" Heavy signaled to his bag to display the flier.

"Oh her." The colt turned and gestured the two to follow. "I was more expectin' a doctor. A stallion of medium weight, strongly built, with his shoulders set back over a broad, deep chest and a neck well balanced on the trunk as the head is on the neck. And your accent is wrong too."

The house the colt guided them to was gray as the rest. Old and need of repair were understatement. Surprisingly, the staircaise looked safe and not as terrifying bland.

She would be caught, were it not for Daniel's timely intervention. The little unicorn managed to get a single hoof up on her neck, where he sloppily stroked her coat and batted at her mesmerizing locks. He sighed, long and contented, so deep that he nearly forgot to breath in again. His memory was forcefully jogged when another shudder ran through his chest and sent him into another short coughing fit. Rivulets of hacked-up blood ran from the corners of his mouth, but his pulse held...barely.

On his neck, a little hole near one of his veins marked the spot where the needle punched through the skin.

A crazy plan it may be, but right now? Crazy may be all the hope they have left.

The vampony near Silverpine, Gearstride and Staccata twitched his ears. "You're friend, the short one, is drug addled and high as a kite, they are concerned about him."

Miss M grimaced at the thought of putting Sandy's nasty flank blood in her mouth.

"Zephyrrrr! Get over here!" She shouted towards him.

"Huh what?" The hapless vampony zipped and stumbled over.

"Suck the poison blood out of Sandy, also spit and don't swallow," Miss M ordered.

"Hauh...uh...okay," The pegasus made a slight face as he went over to Sandy.

"Hi...ah....this might sting first...but uh..you'll love..it, I swear," He gulped and bared his fangs. He needed to make new punctures, the small needle prick wasn't going to cut it.

Ember just looked Bruce and shook his head in that better not to question manner.

"Is that so Lochbed? Cool..." Another distracting nuzzle! Oh right, he needed to speak to Big Bruce.

"Hey uh, Big Bruce, just wanted to tell ya, that I'd like to take the day off, considering with all that's happened, also, I have some tasks to do today...and stuff."

Aubade reluctantly continued to hold onto Heavy Ale, this place was just no bueno. It also smelled, like despair. DESPAIR! The place was crying to be cleaned, her cleaning OCD trying to kick in.

"Anyways, back to the subject at hoof. You said you saw her, at what time last night?" She asked.

(For this question, it would have to be some time before 12 am for consistency's sake with the vampony stuff)

The sniper just stood there. Overloaded with shock and regret, she rubs his hoof to keep from crying.

Bruce and Loch

Lochbed nuzzled Ember back and sneaked in a peck on the cheek.

Bruce smiled at the cuteness. "I was not expecting to open today. I'm not working until Vickie gets better so it is up to you to manage the business until then."

Heavy Ale

"About one one two zero last night... I saw her and some guy making out," The colt escorted the two an empty room. The floor was filthy and the walls flickered in the weak candlelight.

"Faith in manure, this land."

"Cept she looks like it hurt. Never peeps a mare's face go like that doing a necker. Does kissing make you bleed?"

Heavy Ale tapped Aubade's hoof upon being asked the horrible question, cince he could not make another gesture. "No lad, kissing doesnae make you bleed." Se wanted to ask where but not in front of his company.

Silverpine winced. "Aw, hayseed. It's those drugs Rainbow has been pumping into him. Remind me not to accept any more drug "trials" on behalf of the Backers." From their vantage point though, it looked like Zephyr was about to do a number on Sandy. "Now, what they're doing? C'mon let's see for ourselves before we get a case of accidental death."

Sandy gasped as the sharp fangs pierced his neck. Not because it hurt; it would take something pretty dramatic to reach his pain receptors through the haze of drugs. No, it was the unimaginable ecstasy of the vampony's bite coursing through his body. The drugged euphoria had made him uncomprehending of the world around him. Now? His only existence was this raw pleasure devastating his senses. Time, space, health, friends, all entirely inconsequential. His willpower crumbled as he let the sensations utterly enrapture him.

Back in reality, Sandy's exhales occasionally turned into absolutely adorable little moans of pleasure, his cheeks burning beneath the bloodstains. His hoof blindly fondled Rainbow's neck and hoof lovingly. Zephyr really hadn't been kidding on the 'loving it' part. As the vampony sucked and spat the engineer's lifeblood on the ground, his heartbeat gradually grew more regular, the episodes of arrhythmia losing their potency. More importantly, however, Sandy's coat started growing cold and clammy with sweat, color draining as his heart struggled to pump what little toxic blood he had left.

"At this point I have no idea what's going on," Staccata states about Sandy before stumbling over to collect her dagger. It's not going to be a fun day tomorrow. On the bright side, she's likely going to sleep through all of it.

"Ughhhh, I need to stop having ideas." Daniel watches in disgust as Zephyr goes to work. At least he hasn't started staking yet, that's a good sign. He shakes his head, and looks past Staccta, brow furrowing. He mumbles what sound like equations and picks his way over to where, by calculating velocity distance and angle, he believes his arrows may have generally landed earlier, then over to the dead Clod, salvaging as much as he can.

(tl;dr - Daniel leaves EdwardZephyr to his work and goes to find what arrows he can collect)

And so Zephyr continued to suck and spit, Sandy's blood tasting all kinds of nasty. He eventually stopped noticing Sandy's skin under his fur getting clammy and hitting a cold sweatness.

"...I can't do this...if I do..he'll die...all his blood is fully contaminated, so I can't just suck the drugged part out....he's going to need fresh blood in him..." Zephyr said spitting the taste of Sandy's blood out of his mouth.

Miss M looked at Sandy and then at Rainbow and then back at Sandy. "But whose?...I mean...I'm up for using my blood...but...I know how ya'll feel about vampony blood, and Sandy's in not in any state of well being to make decisions..." She glanced and hung her head, something she was proud of only to be received with such negativity simply for what it was regardless of the good it was able to do. She did her best to not react too much about their comments and attitudes about it, but it did bother her on a deeper level.

Daniel would find the three arrows where Clod's body used to be, considering, its gone and all, imploding on itself and all with only an imprint of a body in the stone ground.

And Silverpine and Gearstride go see what all the ruckus is all about with Sandy and catch most of what Zephyr said.

He carefully tucks those crucial supplies away and comes back to the scene with enough information to know that his brilliant theory is doing nothing. "Perfect. Well since his being drained like a well was my idea, I call dibs. Lead on to the well-stocked medical station with transfusion equipment." Some ponies deal with stress with anger, some use breakdowns. Daniel uses sardonicism.

"And before anypony objects, the only helpful thing I can do right now is aim, and I can do that just as easy short a few pints. But one of you had better have a suggestion on how."

Even with context, it is a crazy plan. "Wait what? Blood transfusion? One where do we get equipment? and Two, What?"

Lochbed and Big Bruce

"Good. I'm not no state of mind to think about work or profits and I doubt you are either." Bruce rubbed his eyes and started to walk. "I'm heading back to the rooms. Just enjoy the rest of your day. I'll worry about Victory"

Heavy Ale

"I don't think that is what happened. I suspect something far worse." Heavy Ale puckered his lower lip. He squinted a bit and looked around. A faint foul scent that has been kissing his nose as he spoke was finally identified. "I'm afraid we might have horrible news for that mare."

After two minutes of pure hugging, the emotive Idle pulled back from the hug. "I'm glad yer doing well-ish, rookie." Big ol smile time.

Not so much, when Idle pulls Violet leans into him, groaning a bit of pain, as if she still was stabbed even thought she got healed.

If he could see where the would was, he could see there's a kind of big, darkish spot there, seems like they had some persistent pain thing on their swords or something.

After a day of just walking around looking intimidating and generally a force of stability, the griffin is starting to grow weary of doing nothing. Of course he's going to take a peek into the alley. From most ponies, a blow to the head would just make him mad, so it's relatively safe.

He would approach, there's another slight-drag sound, the more he gets inside, the more he can hear some muffled screamish voice and an occassional whispering, suddenly for a while there's only the muffled voice, then a *TIC*, then the drag and whispering continued.

On the ground, Sandy whimpered pathetically. The cloud of blissful joy still hung heavily over him, but he somehow felt the source had left him. And he didn't know why! Couldn't it come back, just for a little while? Just a bit? He rested in the afterglow, hoping it wouldn't leave him too.


The engineer's legs faintly twitched, too weak to do much else. Decision-making was indeed off the list.

"You water down a beer enough and eventually the alcohol content is going to be ineffectual." He explains. Though, it sounded like a much better analogy before he remembered Rainbow's problem. "Got me on the hows, though. But hey, maybe the fang gang has a trick up their manes."

Vampony After-down

Staccata doesn't have any training in crazy blood surgery or anything, so she keep quiet and listens in. After retrieving her dagger, the mare finds a nice wall to lean against. Common sense would tell her to keep an eye out for any crazy ambushes or the like though. Plus there was still the cube.

Random Alley

And so the griffin would follow the sound a little more quickly than he had been. Obviously something was very wrong. Something also obviously needed crazy heroics or something.

"Yes....I'll pull out that equipment right out my flank right now, watch me, look, do you see? Ass pull." Miss M replied dryly in annoyance. "And don't refer to us as 'Fang Gang'...it feels offensive." She told Daniel and nickered.

Any whom, the only thing we can do here without the proper equipment for a real blood transfusion is feed him our blood as we drain his. It could keep him alive and strengthen his body as it produces fresh blood.

"Do any of you have your own ideas?"


Zephyr looked at Silverpine. "Sandy has bad blood due to all the drugs injected into him, it's messing with badly. He needs to be drained of the bad blood and given fresh blood."

"Alright...you two...be safe," He called after Bruce. He then looked to Lochbed. "We should probably go call to get more guards unless you have something up your bag of tricks."

It smelled funny in here, it smelled like sin and in need of a good cleaning. It needed to smell lemony fresh.

"What do you mean Heavy?" Aubade asked the large stallion with concern in her eyes.

"Does that feeding-blood thing have to give him your own, or could you circulate with somepony else's? For example, drain one pony, give second pony first pony's blood with the process?"

"I do have syringes. If you could find a sanitary hose or tubing. And a brick to beat ourselves for thinking of this crazy plan."

Lochbed

"I know some pooka. They'll do anything for berries."

Heavy Ale

Songbird is gone. And probably dead. Who knows what kind of monsters took her or what they did.

"Daniel's idea is so crazy it might actually work." Silverpine held out his unmangled forehoof. "Though if anypony were to give blood, it'll be me."

(We could always pull out Mach's creepy healing machine.)

"And how do you expect us to do that? The thing is, we don't have the time for the process to do a blood transfusion with a mortal pony's blood, let alone the right equipment. You can feed him your blood but it wouldn't do anything by itself just like that...blergh...this is so frustrating," Miss M said exasperatedly and ran her hoof down her face.

"I don't think he even needs a blood transfusion. His body just needs the heightened stimulation to keep it alive and get it to start producing fresh blood faster than the foul blood that is being drained from him. "A special stimulation that can only come from a certain bite. Zippity Do appeared and spoke in her monotone manner. She flashed her fangs in a unsmile smile. And we have many fangs for that."


"But that could take a while and time isn't what we have. I suggest feeding him vampony blood, its faster that way and it won't leave Mister Shores useless," Miss M said. Frankly, it was simpler and faster to her to drain him completely of his rank blood whilst one vampony feed them a butt tons of vampy blood to keep him alive and let him run on that while his own eventually body produced its own blood. Sure, there could be consequences...but...eh..that could be dealt with later right? Uh...

"Indeed we don't have the time, from the south we have company approaching," Zippity's ears twitched in that pony like rotating fashion. "Not to mention Spectre, he is not just going to sit idly by."

"I only made my suggestion due to the apparent apprehension these ponies have to the consumption of vampony blood. I can have my children biting him filling him with their rather benevolent venom while another rids him of the foul blood. To get it done faster though would require at least five of them."

"But that will still take time while the enemy gets their chance to arrive. We'll be down several able bodies."

"Tis a price for their friend to heal without vampony blood intruding." Zippity then looked at the others in the group. "It boils down to two options since a normal style blood transfusion is beyond out of the question.

He is your companion, you decide; should we feed him the vampony blood which will get him on his way much quicker with unknown consequences, or should my children start the process of restoring him which will take longer, occupy allies which won't be able to assist if the enemy chooses to attack right now but he will eventually heal with his own blood,?"
