I recently got myself my traditional summer haircut. This was the most drastic haircut I've ever had, since I'd been letting my hair grow ever since the end of last summer (or possibly even before it, I can't remember any longer) to keep my head warm in the winter, but now trimmed it down to the short, cool and easy-to-maintain lenght I prefer as soon as it starts to get warm. Now, since I'd never had hair that long before, it'd be a crime to not document the change properly:

I've managed to get it somewhat under control by tying it up for a while after I wash it, but I'm still not really a fan of it yet.

Yeah, I was a bit fond of those locks as well, but my hair had become awfully time-consuming to maintain (for example, I managed to cut my showering time in three after having the cut), and a bit too warm for the weather as well. And it'd get even more in the way as soon as swimming season begun...

I keep sweeping my hair back behind my ears whenever it starts to grow long, so you won't really get any idea of how long it really gets.

And for all of you who mourn the loss of my long hair, it'll be back in less than a year. I always let my hair grow out in the winter to keep my head warm.
